The facts are that the idf killed about half their own people under the Hannibal directive. All the charred bodies and burned out cars were from idf Apache helicopters with hellfire missiles. Kibbutzes were destroyed and civilians killed by idf tanks. The goal of Hamas was to attack military bases that have been targeting and murdering Palestinian civilians. Their 2nd goal was to kidnap about 200 civilians to use as bargaining chips to get hundreds of their own hostages back, including kidnapped children, held without charge in Israeli prisons for years.
Hamas has 2 separate parts: political and military. Hamas serves as Palestinians only physical defense, since Israel took away any form of state military they could have.

After 1967 suddenly such a movement was encouraged by the arab league... Weird. Why did the arab league not champion a palestinian homeland before 1967.

Explosions of violence never just happen. Since 2007, Gazans have lived under siege, prohibited from leaving their open air prison by a high-security militarized wall and platoons of Israeli soldiers.
Well before the latest escalation, the transit of most goods was banned. Gazans couldn’t get construction materials to repair the apartment blocks, power plants, water treatment facilities, hospitals, school, mosques and churches that Israel bombed repeatedly - in 2008, 2012, 2014, 2018 and 2021.
Emergency medical permits were often denied, leaving many Gazans to die without care.
Electricity was already limited. A 72-year-old woman in Gaza told a reporter last January, “It is hard to imagine, but we used to experience 24 hours of electricity each day in Gaza; now we are lucky if we get six.”
Water was already unavailable except by expensive purchases from Israeli water companies. And food has long been scarce - by the age of two, 20% of Gaza’s children are already stunted.

You can see this mentality play out everywhere. Even in schools where the bullied kid gets reprimanded the moment he bites back at the bully.

It's strange. I've heard the "We're not defending Hamas, but..." kind of statements a lot lately. It's usually followed by a defense of Hamas. Even stranger when polling data shows a huge majority of the West Bank believes that what Hamas did on October 7 was a good thing. Gaza doesn't even hit 60% in support of it - this was from late last year if I recall.
I don't know where I stand on the conflict. To be fair, I don't think most who talk about it have a position either - they pretend to because it's in the news. All I'm saying is that if you claim to support Palestinian rights, then don't support a group that uses Palestinians as human shields.

    • @alonnehring402

The blockade on Gaza was greated after the terrorist organization that took control of Gaza said that they don't recognize any security and peace agreement between Israel and the PA and that there goal was to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews in it, the blockade itself prevents the terrorist organization from getting stronger making sure that it can't Hit Israel hard enough that Israel will need to go in to Gaza and destroy the capability of that terrorist organization to effectively hit Israel and because the terrorist organization puts almost all of it's military inside of areas with civilian population a lot of people will die, the blockade is also not "inhumane" it just prevents things that can be used for terrorism from entering Gaza like guns and other weapons it makes sure that things that can be used both for terror and civilian like certain chemicals and build material are entering Gaza in certain quantities and it allows things that can only be used for civilian porpoise like food water and fuel

We’ve see children burned alive, dead women raped and babies abducted. Women paraded in the street as trophys, blood between their legs. Second of all, the conflict has a long and complicated history, one in which Israel has been guilty of many human rights violations, but don’t forget that the civil wars of 48 and 49, the 6 day war, Yom Kippur, they were all started by Palestinians and Israel’s Arab neighbours. Add to that the endless amount of terrorist attacks by Palestinian resistance forces, like Munich 72, and the only conclusion can be that both sides have blood on their hands.

It’s dishonest to say that.... are you reading the news on how Israeli settlers are going around the West Bank shooting people with no consequences? They killed 4 people in one night and then went to the funeral the next morning and killed a father and his son.
An Israeli journalist had to go into hiding because he expressed his believes that people should show empathy for the children of Gaza. Israelis are literally threatening him and his family.
They have a telegram group where they post videos from inside Gaza of the dead babies, children and civilians and they’re making repulsive remarks about them.
I got into so many arguments with Israelis and they genuinely think that all Palestinians are terrorists. They don’t see them as human.
      Zionism is a disease..
Back in July the settlers in Hebron poured cement inside the wells, that is the only water source for Palestinians living in that village.
I don’t think people understand how horrifying the issue really is.

@@adw6894you have absolutely no proof of that. Contrary to that, Hamas has not held elections in almost 20 years. Why? Palestinians are being held hostage by Hamas and Israel.
