- UPDATE 2015-12-29: The bike and the other one I had like it was sold back in January 2013. Sorry to everyone that wants to buy them from me, but they are long gone. I got them from an company in Texas back in 2007. I don't have their contact information or website address, and they are no longer in business anymore. I paid a reasonable price (but I will not discuss finances and numbers on here, so please don't ask.)
I keep getting asked if I can build something like this custom, and the answer is YES! But if you want me to build something like it for you (better than the original chinese junk this bike was built from) then send me a private message and lets discuss your budget. Thanks!
This bike starts and runs really well, I didn't run it for long or leave it on charge for long enough so the battery ran low but I charged it back up and this machine was eager to go!
Diemuzi helped me using my camcorder, as well as took a ride up and down the street on my mini chopper after I bump-started it down the driveway,

I can not find exhaust or wiring or anything for this motor. Picked one up for a couple hundred but can’t get it going cause I can’t find any info on it
Those HF Predator engines are set up like lawnmower and go-kart engines, parts are pretty easy to get and its very simple especially if its your first time building something. I don't have anything like that though, as this chopper actually has a real dirtbike-like engine more like that of a Honda XR200. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment! :)
This one is street legal, so yes! I drive it to work sometimes.
I have one. I just don’t know what type of motor and stuff it needs so I plan on taking it to a mechanic shop and getting it fixed and working
Ride.
My neighbors make more noise than I do... I'm the quiet one, haha!
Is it custom built?
Where can I get the front tire, I can’t find it anywhere please help out guys
I appreciate it! Thanks for the comment!
Hi, thanks for the comment! What do you mean by change gears, do you mean replace them, or how to shift between them when riding? Help me understand and I'll see what I can do about making such a video.
i love the disclaimer man, slick lil chopper, sounds sweet and looks like it could really move.
Love mini choppers such fun little toys
This one was fun! The engine is still here, the rest of it as long since been retired, but a quick search for DoobleBastard and you'll see where the engine went! Thanks so much for the comment!
The motor is a Lifan 200cc, the frame came with it when bought. The name was on the title, but it was lengthy and chinese. I couldn't say it again if you asked me. Since its sold I don't have the title, so sorry for lack of info! :)
Maintenance on this thing from when it was all stock was horrendous. I've since replaced or properly repaired all the junk items and now it runs well, and has been reliable for a couple years without problems.
Thanks man! Hopefully that Puch will get some work in the near future!
45º rake, very stable at high speeds, low speeds, too. However it is a little harder to steer very tight turns at low speed as it requires applying a little strength that most people aren't used to.
Did the starter break? I know the electric starter clutch in the engine were known for having issues.
The guy I sold them to (I had the blue one in the video, and an orange one) might be looking to sell them again if you're actually interested. I could put you in touch with him. Send me a private message if interested.
Heh, I got this on my 30th birthday. I wanted something different than the other boring 7 bikes in the garage. Its been a lot of fun since! :)
...I like it... ...nice sound, not too loud yet appealing and cautionary... ...very cool.,.will be looking into these.
Yeah, this bike was fun.
No pointers I can give you other than ignore anyone else's advice. I had two of these bikes purchased at the same time and neither one of them had the same wiring schematic. Both of them had severe wiring issues too, lots of stuff didn't work right (clutch lever turns brake light on) and brake lever had no wiring at all. I had to gut them and reconnect and re-route a lot of things, so if you're going to hook up new lights, run them directly off the battery with a fuse and do it all custom.
Thanks! It was a fun ride!
Watch my other video "Completed Mini Chopper - Walkaround" /watch?v=5dSanTjQ6jg and check out the video description. There were A LOT of things, far too many to list here! Hope that helps!
It was definitely a good sounding bike!
I know this video is old but my god i love that bike. I need something like that to take on base during drill just to turn heads. Awesome video
It's quite noisy lol :-)
They'll all think you're lame buying a bike just for attention. If you get a bike get it for you
Its a whole lot of fun, too! :)
Thanks! It was a fun machine!
Where can I get one Lol that dinky little thing looks like a lot of fun.
Sounds great, looks great!
Thank you!
Sold, January 2013!
Yep! Its that season again, time to break it out for more shenanigans!
That’s gotta piss of the neighbors 😂
Nope, they all got free rides!
Sick, I was thinking of building my own dirtbike, i have a couple of 125's and 250's laying around the garage.... now i need a frame :///.. anyways gr8 bike !
Seva Symonenko Do it! :-D
Swap that motor, sounds fun! You probably won't notice much difference in performance, but the 200cc motor that comes on these things has a unique dual exhaust port giving the exhaust a dual-note low-tone rumble which you won't get out of the 250. I think its a much better sound!
But it’s damn near impossible to find parts for or exhaust. Hence why on on this video 12years later looking for ANY info at all.
hi, i bought a mini chopper the other day. i put a 110cc head. i know you sold your mini chopper years ago but wanted to ask. Do these have title? and what is an average price to resale my mini chopper.
@cj15941 The frame actually came with the engine and the rest of the bike. Sounds like an interesting project, especially with the water-cooled aspect of it. Make sure to get some video up on of it getting built and stuff!
Sweet bike! What is the angle on that fork when measured from the ground? is it still stable at high speeds? Or at low speeds?
Too far raked, it actually rode pretty bad!
The front tire is the same size as some scooters, that should help you find one. Check your local scooter dealers for a similar size. It doesn't have to be exact, just needs to fit a 15 inch rim.
In the state of Florida at the time of registering it, it sure was!
No idea, but there is a possibility the head can be swapped between all of them. You may have to do a little research in the department. Just be sure you don't get one of the dual overhead cam engines, the top end on those are a completely different animal.
I live in Florida, it was street legal here, but I can't answer for California. Check with your local law enforcement and DMV for a proper answer. Hope that helps!
The rear fender came off of ebay about 4 years ago. Can't tell you much anymore other than that. Try doing a search there. Lemme know what you find, I'll tell you if it will work! :)
I can't tell you where to buy one, but I am pretty sure they stopped making them. There are similiar bikes now that have better suspension and a higher ride height making them more enjoyable. Anyways, I think you saw my video and comment over on my other channel, and unless you know how to work on bikes, I don't know if this one would be the best for you.
That depends on the bike, but the one in this video is a 200cc and tops out over 70mph.
No idea on the battery, actually. Mine had a battery in it from an APC battery backup for a computer. So did my friend's though, so I dunno, haha. I put a lawnmower battery into mine, though I am uncertain what model it is.
I also had major wiring issues when it was new (for example the brake light came on when squeezing clutch lever.) I traced and re-situated all wiring properly.
What was the original bike. I know you said it was no longer. But what was this bike originally.
Some very long Chinese name that I could not even pronounce was shown on the title. Since it's sold and I no longer have the title I'm afraid I can't read it off to you!
What kind of frame and motor and trans did you use? if you dont mind me asking. im wanting to do something similar.
The same one that came in it stock. 200cc Lifan.
ALREADY SOLD!!! But it sure was a fun time while it lasted. :)
Glenn, I have no idea why YT served up an 11 year old video but it is a way cool video. The chopper is super cool also. Did I hear you say that you just sold it recently?
This video shows the engine that is currently in the Doodlebastard. I'm not sure where you heard me say that I sold it recently.... I sold this thing MANY YEARS AGO! But the engine came back to me.... long story. But its here!
@@DuckmanCycles Really awesome. You were talking about it while you were working on the doodlebastard a couple weeks ago. I believe it was just a passing statement that you sold it a while ago.Tpomorrow is going to be 70 degrees up here is cold Northeast. I am stoked to be outside working on projects.
hey man where do you find forks ? i need new ones for a mini chopper i picked up .can you please help. you seem to get your hands on great parts. thanks in advance
Well... ebay for almost everything always. Take some measurements and start searching. Any good seller will usually publish the sizes of things, otherwise start googling for aftermarket or OEM parts from another brand that you think might fit, get measurements then MAKE IT WORK! :-D Seriously, thats how I do it. Thanks for the comment!
@mannypena214 Everything is for sale, so I'm up for offers. :)
Sounds kind of like a badass Harley
Certainly does have an aggressive sound, I still have this engine but now it's on a kids Doodlebug. It goes way too fast LOL
Yooo that sound is just a beast😂
A little beast indeed!
The bike is beautiful. ¿How much? weight? motor? maintenance is easy? Im live in Lima - Perú and Also I have friends in California, thanks... good job.
Damn man thats a nice bike! I been looking around for something just like it, I have dwarfism and am 4'2 so its hard to find a bike I can put on the street legally, would love to tool around town on one of those!
Too bad you weren't around when I had this, I would have let you ride it we could have made some videos together!
Where did you get the frame DuckMan? I got a water cooled version of that same motor and something like that would be awesome to build.
Texas
hey like the video, was looking to build one myself for the first time, have a less raked chopper frame than yours but was wondering what you used for a motor ect.
lonewolfr86 I bought the bike as you see it, I just customized it highly. But its a Lifan LF200 engine if that helps you.
Haha, yep! EXPLODE! I consedered a Honda Shadow 750 engine, too. but it was just too big. I even considered an SV650 engine that I had... all of which just seemed like a bad idea, lol. Yeah, like I said in the other post, heads may be swappable.
Its already sold, long gone. Sorry!
What parts do you need?
@boredmud Yeah, it sounds great and it hauls pretty good for a little motor!
I like your mini chopper because it's loud and I like his loud and I was to have a roommate who had a really loud bike and I loved it
Its a fun bike! I sold the bike, but the engine came back some time ago. The loud engine can be found on the Doodlebastard that I built!
Sure you can! :)
I bought one from my neighbor for $250. I had to mow their lawn to, but still a great steal!
Marshall Flike Good find! I'd take it, too! :-D
Sold back in Jan 2013!
Thanks for the subby. My DoodleBastard has the same engine and should sound the same. I should have that together sometime in the future. :-D
I have one in the works, stay tuned.
Sick Duckman! I got a Snap on tools chopper. Same size as this one!
Interesting, I would like to see that
i have a 49cc mini chopper i ask how do i get the front wheel to extend and also do they break down if you usee to go to work and back like 6 miles every day use
Are they decent for getting around small town areas. Looking to get one but not totally sold on one yet
Sure, as long as you know how to work on them.
hey im looking to buy one of these where did you get it
I wish I had one of those too they fun to Ride on
I sold this one and another one just like it for $1200. New, however, they cost more than double that individually once you get done with all the shipping taxes and other nonsense.
I sold this one and another one just like it for $1200. New, however, they cost more than double that individually once you get done with all the shipping taxes and other nonsense./ After I resprocketed it for higher speed I was passing cars on the interstate. The speedometer isn't accurate but I'd say I was going 75 to 80mph topped out.
I'd be scared to ride it on the highway because it's so small😅
I know you sold the blue choppr then you had to go pick it up. Do you still have it?
I have the engine do it. ruclips.net/video/rZZgKbnOm1k/видео.html
Cool ass bike bro!
Thank you!
@@DuckmanCycles your welcome!
Christ alive that thing is loud. What website did you buy it from?
Nathan Larson Yeah, its loud. No website, I drove to Texas and picked it up from a dealer that used to be there.
Oh ok. Looks similar to maybe that Gio 200cc bike so I thought this might be a modded version of that. No noise complaints yet? is your bike street legal there?
Yes it is street legal, and no complaints, I sold the thing over 2 years ago, it says that in the video description.
DuckmanCycles and VW Garage Oh. You must have cool neighbours :)
@vvtheduckvv I'm not much of an RC guy anymore, unless I can sit in that boat, lol. :) But yeah if you still want it shoot me an email or something with some more information, maybe we can set something up.
That all depends highly on the laws in the state you are registering it. I wouldn't know.
are these street legal? like if i made a custom mini chopper would i have to register it with the mva or something to ride it on the road?
Check the laws in your locality, I can't even begin to answer that. Not my department
Do you know where I can get any parts for one of these choppers? Thank you!
For the choppers, no. As I said in the video description I made better things fit. The engines are pretty common though, and you can find most engine parts on amazon or most minibike websites.
That depends on what parts you need... I haven't had any problems finding anything I was looking for.
I know these comments are pretty old but I recently just purchased the same bike and I’m having a hard time finding parts like a clutch and break lever and the plastic that covers the rear tire any chance you might know where I could get them?
I need the front. Tire 70/70-15
I'm going to save my money and get me for Christmas.
Did you get one? :)
This thing is still bad ass for a little bike!
Yessss
Looking to maybe build one this size, is there anyway you would know how I could find a frame this size?
This was an oddball, its not really a mini, and not full sized. There isn't much else like it. Perhaps look for one of these bikes, or you'll have to build your own frame! :)
Got a 110cc mini chopper don't know how to ride it at allllll can you make a tutorial on how to switch gears and all that good stuff
the chopper is really cool
Thank you!
Oh, I was hoping it was something you ordered or found or built so I didn't have to go through a full fabrication process. Guess I'll just throw the motor in my kart lol
😁👍🏻
Hey Duckman! I've seen a few of these bikes for sale on the internet and I would really LOVE to buy one but I'm worried I'd go to the wrong web site and get scammed so which site should I go too to buy this mini chopper?
You'll have to hunt around I couldn't even begin to tell you
The Facebook link is in the video description. :-D
Yes, there are plenty of companies that sell full size 50cc bikes.
Yes, but this one's not 50cc :-)
You can buy this one. I have two just like it, will sell both for package deal. Retail they were going for about $2000 to $3000 or so, plus then the cost to rebuild all the parts that break (don't replace them with the same crap!) the first day you have it, lol. For the pair I'll ask less than the cost of one. Need more room in garage!!!!!!!!!!
Hey m8, I got a quick question for ya, if you don't mind that is ;)
I got exact same model in the basement i'm rebuilding, do you know what they come with of stock batterie?
Got mine very cheap 2nd handed, no batt, messed up virering and a broken handlebar.
Almost finneshed doing tank/seat/rear fender in one peace, painted frame/motor/rims mat black w. some chrome - mat black theme. But thinking of swapping an org black 250cc in it instead.
Just a overkill hobby china projekt lol ;) Cheers m8
Not certain, I fit a proper motorcycle battery like in my Ninja 250. Much better
Come have a ride in it!
There's no way to fall down when you're already that low to the ground. :-P
I will give you 1150
All this time later do you still have it and how is it now?if not what went wrong?
First sentence in the video description says it was SOLD! They were a ton of problems, I have many videos on this thing talking about what I replaced and repaired. It broke all the time! I still have the engine, though. Its in the bike that I call the DoodleBastard. You can find a lot of videos of that here on RUclips.
When it was new, after all the taxes import fees and other paperwork nonsense it was like $4000. Then I started fixing and replacing all the junk stuff that broke or was going to break, so the total cost went up, lol.
If I didn't answer it is because you didn't ask me a question on Facebook or here. This is the first I have ever heard of this offer from you. If you really are serious, lets talk and I will always answer you!
@starguard Haha, its quite large for a mini, its almost 8 feet long! LOL! If it had full-sized wheels it would look more reasonable. I've considered that as a mod, I guess we'll see. :)
where did you buy this it would be awesome to have one
From a company In League City Texas. They are loooooong out of business, though!
I don't think so, but that doesn't mean you can't downgrade the engine size.
Why did these disappear? I have been looking all over and found 1 that is 50cc and one that a dealer never sold that is 100cc. I really want one
Probably because they're mostly built out of junk. The engines aren't too bad though but the rest of the bike I can't say the same for. I had a million problems with this one and it took me a long time to sort them all out.... and I bought the damn thing brand new LOL
Looks like fun guys.
Thanks !
Omg i had never seen one of these... I would definitely get one. Don't care about the size I'm on a choppa lol
It was pretty fun!
