Definitely enjoyed this video. What were your reasons for getting the ORP? I'm leaning towards the ORP as well, plus I love the look of the hood scoop despite it begin for aesthetics only.
The way I saw it, the ORP was the best of both worlds. Gave me all the tech and luxury options (from sunroof and leather seats to the 4x4 options for off-roading that didn’t come in the sr5) but kept the budget significantly lower than the pro. Plus, anyone who would want to go super crazy with the offroad things would change out the suspension and what not anyway (the things that make the pro special) And then on top of all of that, I got this truck for a really really good deal so I couldn’t pass it up. My advice to someone buying a new 4runner would be the ORP. Getting an xp version of an sr5 will almost be the same price, and getting a pro will be much more without really seeing any “real” benefit unless if you’re planning on keeping it stock Hope that helps!!
I am actively trying to buy a Lexus IS 300 f sport or is350 but the 2 perfect ones I found used had too aggressive of a window tint than is allowed in NJ. It’s been the deal breaker for both of the perfect price, mileage, maintenance, and look I wanted on both lexus’. Not entirely related but you talking about the window tint triggered me 😂😂😂 it kills all of us pre owner buyers in NJ
Haha yeah I realized it was there when I was thinking about making this video 😂. I didn’t realize it doesn’t do anything. I thought it would atleast show me a QRcode haha
Thanks! I appreciate that! As far as tint I’m a very “go as dark as possible” kind of guy haha. With bonus points if you have a dark interior I have 5% all the way around, with 35% on the windshield If that’s too dark, I usually recommend 15% all the way around with 56% on the windshield. This has the same effect without really changing how you see at night at all Lastly, make sure you get ceramic to 1. Keep the heat out and 2. To get the highest quality
@@jdogtag567 sure thing! I’m planning on making a tint video this week as well! Just to show why I recommend the 5% or 15%. But you can’t go wrong with 5 😂
I’d say 2 times a month it will refuse to connect and will last for the day. Those days are super annoying. But I learned this week that you can manually reconnect fairly easily on the system and it’ll reconnect almost immediately And every once in a while the audio will skip during a song but it isn’t super noticeable when it happens. It seems that the problems are usually because of something tho I’ve found that 1. If I connect my phone then walk out of range, when I walk back into range that’s when the issues begin 2. If my phone is over heating or over charging that’s when the skipping is the worst But none of the issues are bad enough or happen frequently enough for me to not choose this system over the others. It’s still my favorite upgrade on the list for sure!
Interesting comment considering I never mentioned how much I spent on anything. But it’s a fair point in some ways: cheap is relative People build up their 4Runners with thousands of dollars for each part, I’m simply showing people there are alternatives. Alternatives that can be very affordable And to be precise, besides the tint, everything purchased for this build was bought used on Facebook marketplace over multiple years and cost less than 3k total with installation. And as you said, this might be considered expensive, but to anyone who has tried making upgrades to their 4runner, they know it’s definitely a inexpensive budget haha
