I would love to hear if you guys have do's and don'ts when it comes to talking with your child. I feel like the way we parent our children is so different from how we were raised, what do you think?
Feel good mama yes absolutely. I think a Word’ NO’ i have often heard parents tell kids No to many atimes i think instead of no just be with them and help them to what they trying to do or explore.
@@shilpiray992 Hi maam i feel using Negative word No for things instead we can say Stay away, This is for playing. Things like that. word NO loose its importance if often used. :)
This was really insightful... So many things we do wrong unknowingly thinking we r doing good for the baby, but ultimately it harms the baby. Ur thoughts r so clear about raising a baby. Tanks for sharing it.
Hey that was really helpful. I have a 2 year old niece and she is is hyper active and cries a lot but I guess these tips will be helpful for us to show her how to put her energy in right things and also we will be patient too so that she adapt all the good things. Thank you this video is really helpful.
Thats so true i am a mother of a three year old and whenever he is playing with something he always say that i am doing my work so i really agree with your point and i really feel so bad when i order him to do something just watched your video about respecting your child and i think I really have to work on it because i never want to disrespect him
Wow, this is an amazing video! Really glad that you have such unique contents on your channel. I'm hearing all of what you said for the first time and it makes so much sense! Thanks a lot
Loved your your thoughts on raising a child right. My little one is 8 months and I would want to implement some of your suggestions in my household too. Keep up the good work. More love and power to you!
I'm gonna try follow a few things and share this with my husband too. He is very impatient when it comes to toys. He becomes a child himself and shows my boy how to operate it or how to play with it even before giving it to him. Thank you Vidya. We need more such videos.
Thank you, I'm so glad you could relate to it! Thats so true, we get so impatient for the child to do it right, and then we wonder why the child wants new toys all the time. Thats because they learn only one way to play with them. I love open ended toys for this reason too.
Very nice tips Vidya , I was having a hard time getting my son to stop crying and throwing tantrums , need to change my approach instead of his ..thanks again
You are a boon for me You are really amazing Vidya Your voice and your content is simple, beautiful and always so helpful Thank you so for making these videos You deserve more and more views and subscribers Lots of Love❤😘
That's great to make ur child away from negative words but how to deal with it when the surrounding are like that becz if mother is teaching something gud and the rest of family members are doing opposite it's like a big task to deal with it
That really is a challenge, to balance our parenting style with society. The parent has much more influence on the child than anyone else, so the only thing we can do is be a good example. And if possible talk to others about a different way of raising a kid (I do know this is hard)
Superb video that all parents wed to see and understand and inculcate in their parenting style. I just have one question - my toddler is 2.5 years old and hasn't started speaking yet. He understands everything we say, but he still only.manages to repeat few simple words. In case of such a child, how do we try to teach them about sharing, or saying thank you and please and etc. Can it still be done at this age, or is it better to teach these at a later stage?
Even when they don't talk, they are picking up everything. Try and model the behavior that you would like your child to have. And don't pressure him. If you are worried about speech delay, you could ask your doctor about it.
Hi I have a 10 months old baby boy.. Can you suggest me how to make him speak in English right from this early stage ?? As we all speak in our mother-tongue, I think it could be challenging for me... I saw Vikrant responding in English, could you please tell me a way
They will pick up any language they hear. Learning their mother tongue is the best for them. In our home we talk a mix of English and Telugu so he picked up both. When they go to school they pick up English anyway, so don't worry too much.
Hey vidya, loved this video I have a quick question - in one of your video u said u dint use any soap or lotion for your newborn till 6 months .. So how u bathed him after massage.? I mean whag u used to instead of soap to remove oil?
Hey I just can't stop myself to rave about your contents They are so good These small small things are so important for us as parents. I always try to pay attention to these things when I talk to my son.. But I live with orthodox in laws.they sometimes say that how can u let your son cry..what kind of mother are you.. They say I should get him things immediately when he cries..but that's not the way ..,right? And in India we are not allowed to deny in laws instruction. Ye kaunsa culture hai..they are humans, they can also be wrong. One more thing you should add or may be you can make a separate video on it.. We as a parent should let our children to speak..they should not just show fingers on things... I think this makes them an introvert or less confident person when they grow up. Btw that's my personal opinion.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I know it is so much harder when living in a joint family, everyone has their own opinions and it is hard to say no. The good part is your child will learn so much more from different people, and you will still be the major influence and they will come to you for a calming presence!
I have a question if my kid decides not to share his toy with another kid n I divert the attention of second kid by giving him another toy n now my kid wants to have the other toy I gave to the second kid n now both want the same toy then what???
Thank you, mostly I try to parent intuitively, but I do read and learn. Two of my favorite parenting books are "The Danish way of parenting" and "The awakened Family"
Hi dear. I just saw your video and Loved your video and I learnt that what mistake I was doing. I need a help or favour from you. My son is 15 months old and he use to throw things he is angry or when I say no for anything. M shocked that at this age he shows his anger to such a level that I can't explain. He hit head anywhere, throw whatever is there in his hand and much more tantrums. Please suggest or guide what should I do? Please reply
Hi 👋🏻 this video was very informative. Plz tell me how to avoid babies from sucking their hand, fingers. My daughter is 3 months old and she sucks her fingers. Pediatrician said she sucks coz of irritation in her gums. Are there any other reason. Is this normal & when should I be concerned
I love that you're raising a feminist son! It's heartbreaking that so many men feel ashamed to cry because they're taught that it takes away from their manhood. I'm hoping that that mentality will be completely gone by the time gen alpha are adults.
Just wondering if you have received criticism for your parenting style from family? I totally agree that our parenting principles differ from the way we were raised.
Generally people are kind, but sometimes I do get some judgement or "side eyes" from other moms, at times when it seems like my child is "out-of-control" ;)
How are you so perfect at parenting?? Have u referred to books? Trained yourself? These are amazing thoughts and actually got me thinking.. I am in my 8th month and really really hope I am as good as you!
I'm not even close to being perfect. Being a good parent was not even on my mind before my son was born. But I found that intuitively I wanted to do things differently, and like every mom, I learn constantly and try to get better. Thank you, I'm so glad it resonates with you! All the best with your delivery!

What do you do / how do u respond to Vikrant when he draws on the walls? Do u allow him to do it or do u restrict n make him understand.
Thankfully he doesn't show interest in doing that, if he does in the future, I would definitely talk to him about taking care of our home.
