I've tried many lenses, including the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and 16mm f1.4, and the Sony 11mm f.18 lens is hands down the best Ultra Wide lens for Sony APS-C Cameras, such as the ZV-E10. Just imagine if you paired this with the latest A6700 camera.
On a crop sensor, it'll give you something similar to 16mm on a Full Frame camera. You could use it on a full frame, like an A7iv, but it is only useable if you turn on active stabilization or in crop mode.
A ZV-E10 Vlogging Setup paired with the Sony 11mm F/1.8 lens is the best option. Definitely a must-have for content creators, vloggers, videographers, and photographers. Heck, if you have a family and you need to capture those moments then you NEED to get this lens.

SONY 11mm f1.8 Lens Review - The BEST Ultra Wide on APS-C Sony Cameras

Thank you, just bought my E 11mm F1.8 Sony today 10/04/2024. Your video is informative.
you’re welcome!!!! hope u love using the lens!
I used my Sony 11 f1.8 today. We had a tow hour tour of the USS Hornet aircraft carrier. I just used the one lens. I thought about using the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 but I knew we would be in tight quarters. This lens made it easy.
Some of the photos shower a distorted image, but I had no trouble capturing a dozen people and the docent. The f1.8 lens is fast and did a fine job even when the docent turned off the overhead lights in the CIC (Combat Information Center) leaving only the large display panels and equipment lights.
If you don't might a slight crop on the bottom edges, you could straighten out the distorted image and get a great long landscape shot. These can be soooo soo so beautiful.
The CIC does get kinda tight though.
Thinking about grabbing this for our Sony A7Cii
if you're going to use it in crop mode more often then honestly you should. if not then best to go for a full frame lens if you can.
Thanks for the video bro.. gives me a better idea if I should get this 11mm !
If you don't have any other ultrawide lenses, then def. get this.
If you want something cheaper and don't mind some fringing then you can look at the Samyang 12mm f2.
Good video, Thank you. Ordered an 11mm the other day to put on my a6700.
Nice!!! How is the a6700 so far?
I love it for stills and HD video. I had to order some better memory cards so I haven't tested out the 120 fps video I'm hoping to make. I updated from the a6000 I bought when they first came out. The autofocus was always kind of an issue for me with the a6000 and the a6700 is a real improvement. I shoot mostly wildlife and bugs. lol@@EwanLim
I love it. It's a big upgrade from my a6000.@@EwanLim
*it is an AMAZING lens but I didn't know it was an ultra-wide so I don't use it at home for talkin head as it's too wide and I stick with my 16mm Sigma, but still lookin for a variable zoom for both, just haven't figured out which one too get.*
What are you looking for in a variable zoom?
if you want an ultra-wide APS-C variable zoom then check out Sigma 10-18mm f2.8. It just came out and it is baller crazy.
Thanks for sharing. So to get a better stabilization is by switching off the stabilization fully and using catalyst browse?
technically yes. BUT i've used catalyst browse with the stabilization on. hahaha
Which will be a better option between the 10-18 sigma and the sony 11mm.
11mm is f1.8 while the sigma is f2.8.
It boils down to whether you need that extra bit of light. but if u are short on cash and don't have any other lenses then go for the 10-18 Sigma f2.8
@@EwanLim Yes, I have the Sigma 16mm, and the Sigma 18-50mm. I need to add something more ultra wide.
I have the sigma 16mm f1.4 and the sigma 18-50mm. I'm looking for a partner for you.@@EwanLim
I wonder how this lens combine with sony a6400 for vlogging.... is it too shaking?
if u have the time then u can stabilize with catalyst browse.
U'll see micro jitters but that is about it and something stabilizers in post can fix.
@@EwanLim thanks for sharing....
Without gimbal the footage was shaky rite..
IF you apply the 3-Point rule of holding a camera then it won’t be shaky. 3-point or 2-point (arms closed) will be fine.
With an ultrawide, most shakes won’t be noticeable unless you’re holding the camera in a very unstable way. That or just doing 20 pushups a day will help or adopt a chonky cat and carry it everyday.
