The working out thing is so true. Your recent videos inspired me to start lifting weights for the first time in my life. Although it’s only been a few weeks, and a marginal difference in my body, the mental confidence that comes with it is infinitely greater than getting a new piece of clothing.

White or black T-shirt, jogging pants and shoes that look aight will forever be the go-to fit. It's comfy as hell and you can't really go wrong with it. Plus you can dress it up with an outer layer and some accessories.

I wear raw denim in 2024 that I bought 5 years ago and still hardly show any fading, olive m65 jacket, and faded classic black leather combat boots, if its good for Rambo then it's gold standard . I don't care where fashion or style has been going post covid.
Seeing fashion content like this makes me realize how much I've been reflecting on my relation to fashion a lot recently: always making the optimum barter between taste and option. Since I grew up, my parents were conservative, thrifty Calvinists, which means that they hated both spending money and attention-grabbing clothes (or showing skin) equally. Therefore I had to operate as a teenager within what was acceptable to them. While eventually, my brother and sister made their own money at a young age in order discover themselves through consumption, me with my labour disability couldn't do that at that time. As for me, I had a very strong taste but never got what I wanted (such as a 00s baller hiphop phase or a mall-goth/emo phase) because it was simply not possible. And now I have made the creativity of putting strong taste into small things into a skill that I am very happy with. In other words: seeing this video, I can relate, but I cannot. These days, I still live on a minimum income and spend as little as possible on clothes and my outfits are mainly showing up for work with 'professional standards'. But still, I can give that tiny fashion twist that's making me feel good. Fashion-minded people praise me for my fits, while non-fashion minded people wouldn't notice a single thing. For me: all the wolves have merged.
