Thanks so much for the video! So glad you enjoyed, and I had a ton of watching watching (even fully laughed out loud a few times 😂). That one drum sound did sound particularly like a drum because......it WAS an actual drum lol Marwan added those in well after I was wrapped on recording to introduce an extra bit of punch and intensity to those sections. And the only subharmonics I used were right there at the end on the D1s, so it's totally true that this was a much more raw and classic bass experience, without most of the bells and whistles we hear these days. Cheers mate!

Enjoyed your reaction. Kinda wish you'd put "Avi Kaplan cover" somwhere in the tag line, because he was the original writer and singer of the song. Avi is an opera trained basso profundo, so the depth of his voice is very different, but this cover was beautiful to watch. We a cappella folks love harmonies like this, and it is fun to find new singers to check out.

I love the doubling too-it gives depth. And I’d love to know how he produced that percussion sound. And when he starts singing as a group, some of the harmonies sound a little like Tomi P’s. Really deep, dark and complex.

I follow both you and Peter and love watching your reactions of the same songs....You both have such different outlooks on the content.....
That look on Peters face at the end is as if he is looking straight into your soul....I like this version, but love Avi's more.....My opinion.....
