Love your video man! Used to live in Austin. U!! If you don't mind me asking what is your top top go to lure for frog bites right now? Trying to get some on the 🐸
Man there’s a lot of good ones out there. Right now a spro 65 is hard to beat. If you like a popping frog, the spro poppin 70 is good or a River2Sea spittin wah
@@rodneymills455 I’m not sure man. I’m focusing on fishing new water right now. Will probably post a decker vid pretty soon though that I shot a couple weeks ago
Get the dobbyns furry 7-3 froggin rod. It’s perfect. I can’t remember if it’s heavy or extra heavy but it’s perfect. I’ve used a lot of different frog rods and it’s by far the best I’ve used
Damn, Bro excellent video. What would you suggest for a beginner frog rod? I know you use a Dobyns 7"3", but what is the rating (Heavy-fast) or (Med-heavy-fast)? I can fish everything, but frogs. WOW, that fish came fully out of the water for that frog. That was COOL!
Ya that blowup was insane. The video never quite does it justice. Shit was crazy. Heavy fast. You want backbone but a little bit of tip to allow you to make casts and walk the frog properly
The anger after loosing and huge one to weeds is so real. Couple years ago I was out all day wit my friend on a lil canoe frogging and I take a perfect cast after like 3 hours of no fish for either of us and as soon as I hits the water it gets destroyed and I ripped tf outa that hookset but my mf reel skidded out AND my rod snapped too n I tweaked tf out when I lost it and threw the rod but that mf reel wouldn’t work every time I set the hook it was like 9:1:1 castling shi I got on ebay shi was bookie and couldn’t handle a fish bigger than 3 lbs without the spool freezing up and not taking in line while reelin that shi was infuriating
Are you fishing that island/peninsula area across from the parking lot? I know the whole water line is basically those reeds.. would you say there's better areas than others? Or do all those shore reeds the have the same potential to hit like you did today? Great catches, you're super accurate along the waterline.
Ya right off that point. It’s good all over that lake, especially in the first hour but I do like that point because it’s a little bit shallower and the reeds don’t go as far back which forces those fish to the front of the cattails. But those fish are everywhere.
Don’t forget to like the video guys. Thanks for watching
One of my favorite lakes.

Awesome man! I’m on it! Thanks for the tip bud!
Slayed! Awesome man 💪🏾😤
Thanks man!
What line do you run on your frog setups? Speed of reel?
65lb suffix 832. I’ve broke 50lb one too many times. Anything from 7:1:1 to 7:4:1 is good. I’m using a 7:4
@@frogman8120 braid straight to frog, or do you use a leader?
@@stevemartinezjr straight braid. Never use a leader. I’ll use a leader on my hard bait topwaters
@@frogman8120 Thanks for the replies dude, appreciate it-
@@stevemartinezjr no problem man
When will you be at decker next?

Not sure if you mentioned it in the vid but what rods were you using? I’m trying to decide between h and xh

Yup it’s always frustrating. You forget about losing fish real quick though when you catch 20. That’s what I love about decker
