This is the most complete and well thought out 72 hour bag that I have ever seen. I would feel completely prepared for any survival situation if I had this bag with me!
I would like to tell you that that is the best pre-made survival kit that I have ever seen. I of course build my own and have built many for other people but if somebody just wanted to go and find a premade kit that is the best one I have ever seen
when I go fishing for 72 hours I still manage to "survive" with nothing but a crate of beer, a couple of egg and bacon sandwiches and a sleeping bag ... but hey that's just me

Why does everyone making RUclips videos have to "slap" every thing they are talking about??? Every time he takes something out of the pack....he slaps it, he isn't the only one. I've noticed a lot of people making these videos does the same thing!!

looks like a decent enough bag, but you could have made a 10 minute video and have included everything. I found it almost belittling, even as a novice, to listen to your 45 minute explanation. Just tell me what's in it. I don't need an explanation as to how to use toilet paper.
Great kit. People stop wining About the BG Knife. For the price its amazing. I have abused mine for 3 years now and it has never complained

I really like it, I think the price isn't too bad either. With a even a small amount of knowledge a person could survive quite comfortably for 3 days no problem. Well thought out and may be a nice bday present for my son.

I think this is a great kit. Most people will not go through the trouble it takes to put together a kit like this. Yes they could put together a better kit but will they? Most will not. For the price this is a good value. Just the time savings of a pre-made kit for each vehicle, wife and kids is worth it. Of course my own kit for my vehicle will be custom.
This is by far the best pre made bug out bag. Products aren´t premium but not junk like other kits. I would just change the Bear Gryls knife for an Ontario Spec Plus Marine (not expensive, but really tough and war proven).

Very well done vid. And good alternatives for the bag. I've seen the criticism below, but some don't understand the cost of these items and also that some can't afford even higher value gear. Overall, this is very well thought out. Too bad the web site is no longer active.
Pricing on Amazon and other places I came up with over $500 dollars and that was not everything in the bag. I think it is a good bag, for people that want to buy a bag ready to go. It is more important to know how to use the equipment and practice on a regular basis. Nice set up, I would probably loose the water that is a lot of weigh and high cost when I can have a better filter like a Sawyer or katadyn but I don't think $400 is too much, I would build my own and probably spend less. Don't let these guys get you down about their comments. Still waiting to see more videos.

I have added my 45 cal 1911, my 2 meter 440 band hand held ham radio and a Garmin handheld GPS, and Yeti backpack solar panels. Ha Ha Im ready!!!
I like it. Probably well worth the price. A little more expensive than I would like though. Remember though, for a 72 hour bag, the person also has to put some clothing items in as well. That will need room and take up space. I do agree with others concerns about how "Tactical" the bag looks in it's current configuration. I'm experimenting with other bags for more of the "gray man" look. The only downside to such bags is the lack of PAL/Molle capability.
Also, I would add a couple more bandanas to the kit. Since they can be flattened, they don't weigh much or take up much space.
Also, for those interested in the First Aid kits, you can augment any FAK with a few of those ten pill tubes of Tylenol, Aleve, Advil, etc.

Thank you for your input! We have been considering a more "Gray Man" version of this kit due to that being the newest trend but there are some issues with that. Where you live, is slightly different than the next guy/girl and so on and so forth. One type of bag or even color scheme that works in one area, just won't work in another. But, we hear you, and are considering options. We are also working on some less expensive kits that will be coming out in the next few weeks. We understand that we can't please everyone, all the time. These kits are just meant to be for those who do not know where to start building there own, or just frankly don't want to build there own and want to buy something that is already done for them.
Well, if you'd like a little advice about color schemes and whatnot for a drayman type bag then I can certainly help a little bit there. Subdued with very few bright colors would be good. Tight but, with lots of space still. Definitely it should not look in any way like it would be something used by the military so lots of molle/PALS is not something you would want. No all black, tan, coyote, ACU, CAMO, or anything like that. Blue, black, and gray or a mixture thereof. Oh, and maybe a couple of "secret" pockets here and there would be cool. Such a bag would fit into just about anyone's area no matter if rural or urban.

That knife would not be my first pick, but if I had a choice between that Knife or nothing at all, I'd take it in a heartbeat and be grateful.If you have the proper skill set, and know how to use your tools without just trying to beat the hell out of it and trying hard to break it, you can make it work and do just fine with it.Cody Lundin uses a old Mora with a red birch wooden handle, and hes managed to baton and everything just fine because he uses leverage and common sense when handling his tools.
Pretty compact, good quality, and complete bag. Maybe even too much stuff for my taste (I prefer to go as light as possible). I would have liked to know the price and weight of that pack.

It is good for a pre made big out bag (a bit lacking in shelter and food), but make your own based on your climate and survival skills

Agreed, getting a bag and filling it with your own stuff is the ideal scenario. We created this bag due to tons of people calling us an wanting one already made for them. Many people know that they want a bag, they just don't know where to start and the whole process seems to be overwhelming to many folks.

I can see that there is some quality items in this pack I do believe and understand some quality was sacrificed in order to keep the cost down. My concern is the pack. Very little is mentioned about it and keep in mind that the outside of the pack does scream I'm prepared and in some cases a bad idea. Is your logo removable? Hard to accomplish the grey man with your logo, canteen and knife on the outside.
Thanks for your question. The logo is removable (Velcro patch) and the knife is also removable and can be placed inside for less of a presence of you want to achieve more of the "gray man" look. The bag is a Condor Compact Assault Pack. There are lots of reviews on RUclips of the bag if you're curious. The video was long enough so we didn't cover the bag but there are plans for a review on the bag in the future.

This was more like ASS Gear instead of ASR Gear, no wonder they didn't make it.
Decent kit, but the colors on the ponchos and tent definitely need to be matte black or at least olive green for safety reasons

For all the people complaining out there...please take ALL THE TIME to build one and price it out, so you can show you have a valid reason to BITxx. I am building my own bag and have spent over $400 for less stuff in it. This product is for those who don't know where to start or don't want to spend the TIME to buy each and every piece. $400+ for all of this is worth it when SHTF. Lastly for all the complainers...how about you start your own company and see if you can beat this price? Then post it so everyone can BITxx about it.
nice kit you should consider changing the Bear Grils knife out for a sch36 by shrade it is a much better knife

Almost all of Schrade and most of the BG line are both Chinese made junk. Get an ESEE or Becker. Hell even a mora is better.
Bear Grills knife iv'e used constantly for 3 years and it has never failed me or lost strength including throwing it. I don't know that much about Schrade, but mora is really good for the price as a medium but not near the toughness of the BG and the full tang of the Ultamate Pro
Michael Dickson mmmm. I do happen to own an ultimate pro. Maybe only his decent knife. But let's be honest you most likely live in a city, try living rural and use your knife every 5 minutes and then see how long it lasts. I'll take an ESEE 4 over my UP any day. The rest of his knives are junk made for inner city gay people. And I can't even count how many noobs bought their crappy ultimate knife to my campouts and had to borrow a Becker from my bag...

Switch the bear Grylls knife out for the strong arm much better knife for about the same price I love it

That was actually an invoice that came from our supplier. I was not expecting that to be in there, so I just removed it.
ok just curious. I acually own this same bag and have never seen a review for it. I have no complaints and for anyone interested the SOG molly large side pouches from Wal-Mart ($12) fit perfectly on the sides of this bag and add tons of space, at a glance they look like part of the bag and you can still strap your knife on the side it just slides behide the new pouch.

This is a good video, and I share your views on pre-made kits. Often they are overpriced and use the cheapest gear possible. This is espicially dangerous with pre-made first aid and survival kits, where the few items inside could make the difference between life and death. One note on this video though, the sound quality could have been better (and maybe clear out the background noise). Not trolling, just a suggestion for future videos.

Thanks for this - I could have saved a bunch of money if I'd found your bag first. The only 2 things I was waiting for you to pull out were that small spork tool and the Blizzard sleeping bag. It's easy to make a good cake after someone gives you a good recipe lol.
