Necs.Photos I’m 35. I was a Dylan fan since I was 13. Just when I started to play guitar at the time, Dylan was a huge influence on me. Started with the Traveling Wilburys a few years prior to that. I’ve seen him once in concert. I own all his studio and a lot of bootleg recordings. He’s a Shakespeare of our time. Cherish your time and appreciation with his music! Cheers mate

I am 61 (Miami). Will get tested tomorrow. Had a low grade fever now for 2 months. I work for an outfit that I can't mention cause of com agreement. Was able to go with a friend backstage here in Ft. Lauderdale in 1990. Very softspoken man - shy almost. Shuffled around with his feet with a pigeon toe type of restlessness. Nervous almost. Felt like inviting him and the band bridge fishing, but was young, and shy myself.. This is before the show in his dressing room. One thing for sure, this cat has been taking down names for a while. No one knows who Dylan is these days, unless they have a graybeard. Glad you came on board so young! Carry this torch forward.

What a sound! He hires the best. That swinging cabaret feel of Blonde on Blonde is here, and his words bluesier and tauntier than ever. Sam Smith me too! I love how Dylan just keeps on ticking and he seemingly has endless lyrics. He doesn’t give a rip what detractors say. What are you lookin' at
    There's nothing to see
Just a cool breeze that's encircling me
Let's go for a walk in the garden
    So far and so wide
We can sit in the shade by the fountain-side
    {Verse 6}
    I search the world over
    For the Holy Grail
    I sing songs of love
    I sing songs of betrayal
    Don't care what I drink
    Don't care what i eat
I climbed the mountains of swords on my bare feet
    {Verse 7}
    You don't know me darlin'
    You never would guess
I'm nothing like my ghostly appearance would suggest
    I ain't no false prophet
I just said what I said
I'm just here to bring vengeance on somebody's head
    {Verse 8}
    Put out your hand
    There's nothing to hold
    Open your mouth
    I'll stuff it with gold
Oh you poor devil look up if you will
The city of God is there on the hill
    {Verse 9}
    Hello stranger
    A long goodbye
    You ruled the land
    But so do I
    You lost your mule
    You got a poison brain
I'll marry you to a ball and chain
    {Verse 10}
    You know darlin'
The kind of life that I live
When your smile meets my smile something's got to give
    I ain't no false prophet
    No I'm nobody's bride
Can't remember when I was born

    Another day that don’t end
    Another ship goin’ out

      You got it wrong.
      It isn't:
      "Hello stranger
      A long goodbye
      You ruled the land
      But so do I
      You lost your mule
      You gotta poison brain".
      It's:
      "Hello stranger
      Hello and goodbye
      You ruled the land
      But so do I
      You lusty old mule
      You gotta poison brain"
Not trying to nitpick, but your incorrect version doesn't make any sense,
and is nowhere near Dylan quality lyrics.

One thing about Dylan, he continues to evolve and is not stuck in the past as other artist. Bob Dylan - False Prophet
    Another day that don't end
    Another ship goin' out
Another day of anger, bitterness, and doubt
    I know how it happened
    I saw it begin
I opened my heart to the world and the world came in
    Hello Mary Lou
    Hello Miss Pearl
My fleet-footed guides from the underworld
No stars in the sky shine brighter than you
You girls mean business and I do too
Well I'm the enemy of treason
    Enemy of strife
Enemy of the unlived meaningless life
    I ain't no false prophet
I just know what i know
I go where only the lonely can go
    I'm first among equals
    Second to none
    Last of the best
    You can bury the rest
Bury 'em naked with their silver and gold
Put them six feet under and pray for their souls
    What are you lookin' at
    There's nothing to see
Just a cool breeze that's encircling me
Let's go for a walk in the garden
    So far and so wide
We can sit in the shade by the fountain-side
    I search the world over
    For the Holy Grail
    I sing songs of love
    I sing songs of betrayal
    Don't care what I drink
    Don't care what i eat
I climbed the mountains of swords on my bare feet
    You don't know me darlin'
    You never would guess
I'm nothing like my ghostly appearance would suggest
    I ain't no false prophet
I just said what I said
I'm just here to bring vengeance on somebody's head
    Put out your hand
    There's nothing to hold
    Open your mouth
    I'll stuff it with gold
Oh you poor devil look up if you will
The city of God is there on the hill
    Hello stranger
    A long goodbye
    You ruled the land
    But so do I
    You lost your mule
    You got a poison brain
I'll marry you to a ball and chain
    You know darlin'
The kind of life that I live
When your smile meets my smile something's got to give
    I ain't no false prophet
    No I'm nobody's bride
Can't remember when I was born
And I forgot when I died

Dylan’s last album of new songs was 2012’s Tempest, which he followed with three collections of standards: Shadows in the Night, Fallen Angels, and Triplicate. Rough and Rowdy Ways, which is almost certainly named after the 1929 Jimmie Rodgers classic “My Rough and Rowdy Ways,” will be his 39th studio album, landing 57 years after his debut LP. Due for release on June 19th. He'll turn 79 on May 24th.

He's been the soundtrack to my life. Since I was 4 or 5 when other people started covering his songs. Then saw him on Johnny Cash show.
Plus a few other musical TV shows.
He has spoken to my heart and soul long before I could really even understand the depth of what he was writing about.
We are so blessed to have had the magical bard's insights all these years.

Heard all the rest and he has by far the best catalog of any individual artist.. Under A Red Sky was supposed to suck big time like The Stones Black And Blue and so finally some 30 years later in 2006 I purchase Black And Blue and it's terrific, except for Hot Stuff. Probably the worst single they ever did.
