- We went beach camping on a remote island in Thailand and it was UNREAL! We booked a private long-tail boat to take us and our friends to Rap Island which is 45 minutes away from Koh Samui. But Rap Island is nothing like it’s popular neighbouring islands. In fact, it is a tiny, family-owned, private island with only one beach bar, some wildlife and being here, you’ll feel completely relaxed and off-grid. The animals were so cute! The owner said there are more than 100 pigs on the island, more than on Pig Island itself. He also wants to bring more deers on the island and let them roam free :)

Gooseberries are high in vitamin C. But if put in sugar syrup, it will be very sweet and delicious.
Flora, I’m with you about the mats and lack of sleep! I’m the proverbial ‘princess and the pea’ and waking, tossing and turning not my cup of tea. Lol I mean I honestly would sleep fine in the hammock coz imma back sleeper anyway. Side is hard lol. I have a question about the coffee ‘setup’, what was it you used that looked like an airpot? Did you bring anything to boil water in? Or does the bar and staff take care of it for you? That was total fancy comfort looking to me-the white airpot looking ‘thingy’ lol I’m so silly 🙃. All your trips are so satisfying, relaxing and beautiful and it’s just another pretty place without you both!!! I used to love to camp, knew many ways of comfort and ‘luxury’ for camping and was a Girlscout, so learned many tricks for easiest meal preps too. Now, as old as my bones are, I’d have to buy a cloud to sleep on, hire a butler for my coffee in bed upon waking and chocolate no matter what 😝😝😝🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Hahaha the white pot is a water boiler that the staff had at the counter. We need to bring a little gas stove and kettle next time 🤣 it did the job though… We needed that coffee to start our day!

oh wow,,, this is amazing,,,, not finished watching but this is absolutely off the chart "perfect beach life" .... *subbed* the habitants of the island Koh Rap,,, need to provide more nourishment for the dear,,, they look extremely malnutrition. When I go I will ensure to bring corn feed.
Koh Rap is so amazing! They don't allow too many people to stay overnight at a time so we recommend trying the camping experience... we loved the quiet nights and peaceful mornings before the crowds came :)

This is fabulous - we would love to do this when we visit in December 🙂
We recommend contacting them via Facebook first because December will be high season in Samui so I’m not sure if they will still allow camping overnight 😊
