Thanks mate. It's a great hobby, I'm glad there's other like you and I that do it purely for fun and learning! I'm starting to get some confidence now! Well I was until my most recent project hahah. Comes out in 2-3 hours! And thank you for subscribing.
@PainfulDwayne it's is a great hobby and the satisfactory getting something working again. I do a lot of screen replacements on Android. Doing consoles for a few months now. If you are having any trouble or questions I will help you out. Happy soldering.
Another great fix Dwayne. Watching you learn like me gives me confidence. I did two of these over the weekend for the first time and it was daunting but i followed Joey Does Tech's method of dropping the port in from the top and it was so much easier. Its just a reverse of taking it out,you just pre fill the holes first and tin the pads and pins then just drop in. Keep the great videos coming mate.
Thanks man, giving confidence is all o can ask for! Joey is great! I thought about doing it that way but wanted to try this way just to see if I was able to because I've never tried before 🤣 I'll definitely be trying that way next time I need to replace one though! Any thoughts on the skillometer scores? Maybe as they were or any improvements?
Good shit, been soldering since I was in high school off and on (20 years) and I just did my first PS5 HDMI a couple of weeks ago, (it was a mes) but I got it straightened out. you'll be great.
Thanks mate! Wow that's impressive. I haven't worked on a PS5 yet but I may or may not have one coming soon 👀 although I'm vastly under experienced 🤣 what can go wrong haha
My god, looks like the xbox was home to zergs 😅. Not to be "that guy" but compared to your last video the added music in the previous one made a huge difference :). As I was typing this there was music starting, but I still think it should be throughout but that's just me 😉 Fantastic job with the port. I know for a fact that I would have messed that up. The skillometer will be maxed out in no time ^^ massive congrats. Micro soldering for sure 7. Fault finding a 10 :)
Honestly, it was disgusting 🤣 and I forgot to show around and under the heat sync, which was the worst part! Yeah I'm trying ti find a decent balance with the music, I'll keep trying different ways and audio levels until I find something I'm happy with 😁 Really proud of that port to be honest. Went way better than I expected! What would you rate the skillometer for my overall skill?
Well done man. I can tell that u r influenced by Joey does tech (great channel) congratulations on ur successful first hdmi port attempt
Thanks man! Yes I'm a fan of Joey for sure 😁
I do a little myself on consoles and other repairs. Not a professional myself. It's all trial and error. Well done. Subscribed
Thanks mate.

@@PainfulDwayne LOL So much, make sure you don't lose the Cap in front of the HDMI
I think it has a power issue which is going to test me even more 😅

@@PainfulDwayne Overall I'd say 8.1 but I'm guessing it'll be balanced out the more I see and the more you improve (maybe positive or negative :P )
When you finished the 4 anchor posts, then to the smaller pins, did you reduce the temperature of your soldering iron?
No I left it the same mate
@PainfulDwayne that's fine! Thank you and I subbed!
Thank you 🙏
@@PainfulDwayne welcome!
