I have the same camera isues (the camera jittering like a parkinson patient ) and Hubsan denied any kind of help or warranty repairs (endless Bla Bla..... ) I hope one day there will be some replacement parts to fix this problems. yes it is right in my despair I tried already to reset the gimbal. there is no reset. For me, a game with the firmware has brought everything back to work. We hope for better updates in the future (I do not know a product where it is so unsafe to make an update, and I update really often all sorts of devices) and a better spare part supply. @@z8ree If you are comfortable doing that but be careful they are fragile. There is one in the back of the gimbal under the little black cover, one on top of the gimbal but the gimbal needs to be removed to check that one and there's two inside the quad that connect to the main board.
Cheap is why its a sub 300 drone. But I could see Hubsan making a ton of money on having all the parts plug and play. They sure missed out on the business 101 class.
All parts should be plug and play and not this design. I am very concerned that Hubsan is trying to kill themselves. Why put out a drone you are not ready to service and deliver parts for immediately? Not good business practices.
Chris, can you confirm if the two external ribbon cables that sit either side of the gimble rotation mechanism should be partially delaminated ? Could this be the cause of the vertical video judder ? Thanks from the UK.

Thanks Chris for that video. After my Zino crash, my camera rolls violently back and forth after power on. I'm going to try and push the plug on the back of the gimble again. What tool would you suggest using to push the plug back on with without damaging plug? As for replacing the camera, gimbal, or ribbon wire, that is beyond my skill set. If this doesn't work, I'll sell the Zino for parts and take my losses.

Hi there, I have an issue not sure you came across.. My zino landed on grass and flip think due to the grass and now it wouldn't initialize during startup. The version of firmware don't even appear on the gimbal setting page. The camera and fpv however is still working. Could this be a lose connection or something? Where could I get parts for this?

QC GUY Hi, I’m so happy and excited that you actually replied me and yes I’ve already ordered the cable for it and just keeping my fingers crossed that it’s only the cable faulty. I hope I don’t have to spend on getting the full set of camera and gimbal from online again. From your experience on repairing the zinos, how often have you came across that the gimbal pcb actually broke and not the cable? I didn’t crash it, it just did a flip after it landed on grass(regretted not setting up my helipad..lesson learned). I actually subscribe to your channel not long after I bought my zino last month and you are awesome! Keep up the good work. I’ll try to post on your fb the photos and video I’ve taken and see if I could seek help there. Thank you once again for helping all of us amateurs out there.
Has anyone found a way for Mac/IOS users to update the firmware? I have access to a work PC, but because of our IT department, they wont let me install the USB driver required for the controller update. I was able to update the Zino itself, but I’m not sure if the camera got updated. Hubsan has no love for Mac users.

@@QCGUY I've done that already I'm one of the first person in the world who has a toy zino because the gimbal don't work anymore, its a god damn bad luck for my zino to clash into a swarm of flamingos then fell into a buffalo swamp, the gimbal covered in mud and water. Zino flies, camera works but gimbals don't function anymore. if a could get a gimbal i could easily replace unusable parts. Too bad, how long should i wait, hubsan nit even very helpful in warranty, not even in spare parts. Thank you for being here to spread the word.
Fred L. Oh yes.....one that I shipped back Tuesday to a guy had the same thing. His was after a crash but it was the cable on his. If you can’t get a good connection back I would say that the connection point on the ribbon cable is breaking away possibly and will eventually stop working all together. Not till you work on them do you see just how cheap the cables are. I have replaced parts on many iPhones and none have had ribbon cables as cheap and fragile as these.
@@QCGUY Thanks, so I'm probably looking at the servo cable, I did reach out to hubsan and they asked if I would send the drone to the USA office to be checked. This was yesterday 5/24/19 by the way. ( I saw your post on the closing in California). I informed them that I opened the quad to check connections and if that would void my warranty, so I'm awaiting on their reply. I don't think I would have a problem switching out that servo cable myself if I'm out of the warranty. Thanks for sharing all this great info.
Fred L. I would definitely start with the servo cable. Kevin and two other people are still there at the California office so it’s not closed but many have been let go.

My gimbal was out of nowhere gone kaput. No crash, no fall whatsoever and not even an hour clocking flight. Guess i got a bad gimbal.
z8ree one of 4 connections are either loose or damaged there.
If they come loose or fail then nothing connects.

Dennis Simmons I’m sure you already tried. I use the hubsan screwdriver that came with the Zino with the rubber tip cover on it.
