樹齢140年 吉野杉の伐採 / 140 years old Yoshino cedar felling in Japan

奈良県吉野郡川上村にて、樹齢140年の杉を伐採した際の動画です。
伐採して下さったのは、林業家・福本雅文さん。
林業は苗木を植えてから、それが出荷できる木に成長するまでに、数十年以上を要しますから、林業家は自分の代で植えた木を自分が出荷することはできません。
何代か前の先祖が植えてくれた苗木を、その孫やひ孫が伐採・出荷するという時間軸の中で日々の仕事をされています。
今回の木は樹齢140年ですから、植えられたのは1880年（明治初頭）ごろ。
こんな木を使わせて頂いて、私たち（株）木造建築東風では300年間愛され続ける木造建築をつくっています。
This is a video of cutting a 140 year old cedar tree in Kawakami Village, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, Japan.The tree felled by Mr. Masafumi Fukumoto, a forester.Forestry can take decades from planting a sapling to growing it into a tree that can be shipped, so foresters can't ship the trees they plant for themselves.I am doing my day-to-day work in the time frame where the grandchildren and great-grandchildren cut down and ship the seedlings planted by my ancestors a few generations ago.This tree is 140 years old, so it was planted around 1880 (early Meiji).We use this kind of wood, and we Cochi, Inc. make wooden structures that have been loved for 300 years.
