But in reality, taking pain medication on a consistent basis is what leads to physical dependency. Then once the doctor decides you're healed, the pain medications are discontinued leading to excruciating withdrawal symptoms. Then the person seeks out the pain meds illegally because at this point, adhering to societal norms seems irrelevant when faced with the torture of withdrawal, which feels like the worst nausea you can imagine, the feeling you have right before you throw up, but never goes away until more opiates are ingested. After spending all of their money, they end up having to turn to heroin. Which in cases like this, ends up being animal tranquilizers mixed with fentenyl and before long, a person who started out as an athlete ends up being showcased on a Kensington video in a zombie-like trance/stupor. Not too difficult to comprehend once you have the facts.
Can't help our own citizens and put them in a controlled healing environment, but have billions I other countries. Need to clean up our own backyard. Saddening.
