    Will say, meal prep for sure changed my life as a single person-- I make 2 family-portioned meals every Sunday or
    Monday and eat off of that for lunches/dinners till Thursday or Friday. Also helps me figure out what to get at the grocery store. Really helped me with that mental load and decision fatigue.

      Sounds like a good plan!! I'll have to try doing this. Do you freeze them or just keep them in the fridge as one whole thing?

    • @spider_plantt
      @spider_plantt 8 месяцев назад

      @@aesblu I usually just keep them in the fridge, since at this point I have a pretty good idea of how long it'll take me to eat a certain amount of food. But I keep a lot of staples (mostly meat and bread lol) in the freezer to save money and trips to the store.

    I think you're off to the right start with frozen stuff. I tend to keep portions of chicken or beef frozen as well, like you're already doing, but I also keep a lot more frozen veggies. Not sure if costco Korea carries them, but I get a few different varieties of the normandy mix or other veg. Lasts forever even feeding 2 people. Easy to stir fry, make into a soup, add to the rice cooker (along with frozen salmon) and whip up a high-protein easy meal. That way I can also make bigger batches if I want and freeze portions until we want to eat them. I also use a lot of frozen fruit not just for smoothies but to sprinkle over yogurt.
    As always, love your videos and love when you upload, even if I'm usually just lurking.

      Thanks for the tips!! The frozen veggies are so much easier than I realized, I'll have to look and see what else costco has, it seemed like before they only had one or two varieties (which I bought before but didn't really have a good way to cook with). Luckily at the other store I found a few different varieties too, which aren't a costco size. Usually that's not a plus, but my freezer is at 110% capacity lately🤣 Thanks again for the tips!!😊

    Meal prep works for me. I'll make a large batch of food (usually 3 or 4 diff kinds) portion it out and freeze. I'll be eating the same foods for like 2 weeks to a month but it means I don't have to cook or chop veggies or shop for veggies weekly. I'll change up the thawed meal with an avocado or lemon or salad on the side but that's pretty much it. I do the same thing with fruit cups for smoothies, freeze mixed portions of fruits and veggies and when I'm in the mood for a smoothie I have my fruit blends ready to go. It's a lot of work in one day but it's worth it for me, I know it's not for everyone though ☺☺
    ❤❤🇰🇪

      This is actually so smart, I might have to try doing it too! Half the time I end up eating the same couple things anyways so I'm not even missing out there haha. So you precook it all and then microwave it? Or do you prep it all uncooked? Also pre-portioning and prepping the smoothies is such a great idea too, seems easy enough to mix it all while making it but just skipping those few steps totally seems like it makes it even that much easier. Thanks for all the tips!!😊

      @@aesblu I cook and portion out 95% of my meals. The other 5% is marinated stuff for when the holy spirit moves me to change things up 😂😂. I freeze it in containers that count as a single meal so it's easier to warm and leave the rest safely frozen.

      Really??? That's super weird, sorry to hear it!! There's no comments in the "held for review" filter and I certainly didn't delete them. I'll do some research to figure out if I can fix it

      @@aesblu Super weird! I got the alert that you uploaded this video, and I started watching the other night right away. I think my alert said you uploaded the video "5 min ago", and I was right on it!! Wrote my comment right away after watching. I always come back to see what your reply is, since I always ask you so many questions......I know, but your videos are really intriguing. I came back, comment's gone. Wrote another one. Came back a day later, comment's gone. Now this is the 3rd comment. I think Mother YooToob is in a foul mood. 🤣😂
      Anyway, beautiful video as always! Your plants look great! They're huge, really healthy looking, and they must love their surroundings there. Your trip was amazing, sad on the last day, and I knew something was up in L.A. the other day and sure enough, you had passed through my neck 'o the woods (your map in this vid). I just felt something was going on.........and there you were passing through! 😂 I'm super happy you got the new laptop. Look how great it's been working out, and yes, the hamburger meat appeared to be less than what you had bought last time. Glad you saw my comment about the deletions, because I'm always watching your vid's as soon as they post! Take care - Best - 😀👍

      @@Ilovelosangeles It's so weird about the disappearing comments, if you hadn't come back to say that they were gone I wouldn't have even known at all!! From what I can tell RUclips has some backend filtering before it gets published or even marked for review, so I have totally no control over it! Nonetheless thanks for coming back and typing out your thoughtful comments several times over :)

      There's plenty of ways to live in korea besides teaching English. I try to keep business things separate from the more artistic side I do on youtube so idk if I want to get into the details, but yeah I do other things. Maybe someday I'll share what else I'm working on
