Yeah. If you search taz-mania intro it's the second one down. In the UK they redid the opening for the BBC (as our TV's run faster than in America, the flashes ended up being worse than the Pokemon incident)
Life seemed to be so free back in the day. You could throw seizure-inducing visuals into your intro and nobody would start an internet movement about it.
Strangely enough Taz's design is fairly close to the Thylacoleo, a larger ancestor of the tasmanian devil, but I doubt any animal could ever spin around like that.
Yeah, they probably had Taz spin around like that to show us how ferocious and dangerous a Tasmanian devil would be. But yes, that is what we call "artistic license".
Why isn't this on DVD?! I couldn't get enough of this show when I was younger. In fact, I find it quite underrated when compared to Tiny Toons and Animaniacs. It seems like this one was forgotten.
I don't think I ever watched a single episode of this show but to this day I still can get the theme song stuck in my head. It's the weirdest thing.....And is that Jess Harnell singing??? hahaha love it!
Same here. And I never knew that was Jess Harnell singing until now, though I should have known since his Australian voice almost sounds like Wakko Warner (which makes sense when you realize that Britain and Australia are historically connected).
Whoa. Tazmania O_O I haven't seen this since ... since it was on. Wow, that's a trip. I nearly forgot about this show's existence. I'm so far removed from this part of my life, I can barely remember the nostalgia it conjures. I'm sure if I seen this as a teenager, it would open a floodgate of memories, but I think even then I'd forgotten it.
Lol I remember one day in year 5, I sat up soo quickly in the morning when I woke up, just so I could go watch this with my big brother.. which gave me a really bad nosebleed..
There are a lot of cartoons from the 80s-90s they need to release on DVD. It's annoying when they include a few episodes from a show on a DVD with other cartoons or shows from that same franchise and that series hasn't been released on DVD in complete seasons as it's own. Look at episode releases like The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries for example.
Shoot, in the early 90's Fox PWNED Saturday mornings. It wasn't officially Saturday until you heard this theme. And for me it wasn't time to get up and go out until you knew X-Men was coming on. Back then, in the days before XBox Live, we had these communal places called ARCADES! You had to actually put clothes on, bike downtown and go hunt like Taz for your friends. There were no cellphones or Facebook to know where they were at or notify them instantaneously that you were looking for them.
True. But when we see the sky as blue, the camera is still zooming in on the island, so we're not technically in Tazmania at that point. Notice that once we're out of the water and actually on dry land, that's the first time the sky looks yellow. And from then on, it never changes back.
The length of the strobe sequences in the Taz-Mania intro is way shorter than the ones in Electric Soldier Porygon. We're talking a few seconds vs. a minute+.
There are no toucans, dingos, wolves, kiwis, koalas or alligators in Tasmania. Our native forests are eucalypts not palms. The kinds of desert you see at :45 don't exist at all. Then again, it's only a cartoon...
But it mixes it with the Australia that's mostly the Outback (which is Western Australia and its surrounding areas), which is why you have dingos, kiwis, koalas, alligators, and Aboriginie hunters (albeit one that's white and Ivy League educated).
Yea , i agree. To be fair though , Jess Harnell who is from New Jersey , probably decided to sing this using his Wakko voice ( who as Treemeadow pointed , has a Liverpool accent ).
Welcome to the land that's way under, down under, the sky's always yellow come rain or shine . . . Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania.Where topsy meets turvy and they start to spin, like a Tazmanian devil and his closest kin. Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania.Mom's a live wire, dad's a bump on a log, Molly's all fired up while Jake plays with the dog. Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania.
lol, WB seemed to have a thing for HUGE casts of characters in the 90s. Always seemed to result in one of them getting the short end of the stick. I barely even remember Wendel T. Wolf and Buddy Boar appearing.
The company is called Hanna/Barbra, the reason being that it was created by animators, William Hannah and Joseph Barbera. P.S. Tazmania is a Warner Bros. production. Duh!
This was another good cartoon back in the day. It was good to see where Taz came from because nobody knew what the heck he was at first. Cool Cartoon, thanks 4 posting paulbyrne04!!!
OMG I was such a massive fan of this show when I was a kid, I never failed to miss an episode, and I used to sing along to the opening, I even owned a tracksuit that had a picture of Taz-Mania and the word Taz-Mania on the right trouser leg
I have yet to see this show, or any of the other greats I grew up with, released for home video where I live (UK). But I guarantee, there was enough of a fanbase for them over here to justify releasing them here.
ah, the show that revealed that normal tazmanian devils could speak and Taz simply had a speech impediment
Sheesh, I forgot how many ancillary characters this show had.
One of the most underrated cartoons ever.
+Jangobadass i could never get into for some reason. gonna watch an episode to see what's up
+Jangobadass I thought all the animals on this show were fictional
Jangobadass G gbbbgggbgb big girl bbbgv.
When I was a child I would always confuse Tazmainia with the real Tasmania.
Jangobadass lablablabblbabla prrrrppp
AHHH YES The epileptic version.
There's an unepilectic versión?
Yeah. If you search taz-mania intro it's the second one down. In the UK they redid the opening for the BBC (as our TV's run faster than in America, the flashes ended up being worse than the Pokemon incident)
@@InsaneGamersOfficialwait are you a Pokémon fan??????????
Life seemed to be so free back in the day.
You could throw seizure-inducing visuals into your intro and nobody would start an internet movement about it.
say it to pokemons
Strangely enough Taz's design is fairly close to the Thylacoleo, a larger ancestor of the tasmanian devil, but I doubt any animal could ever spin around like that.

Wakko singing the theme.
along with legendary Jim Cummings
Why isn't this on DVD?!
I couldn't get enough of this show when I was younger. In fact, I find it quite underrated when compared to Tiny Toons and Animaniacs. It seems like this one was forgotten.
One of the coolest Looney Tune spin offs ever!
When I was a kid I couldn't understand what the fuck the guy singing this song was saying.
+Tre B Probably because of all the epileptic fits you had.
Wow, I really forgot about this show.
Then I saw the intro and everything came back to me. Great show.
Looking back on it, I'm wondering how could I take the good times for granted?
Taz-Mania was one of the many shows that made up my childhood.
Great memories when I was a kid.
man, i miss the 90's tv series...they all were awesome:)
they need to release this show on dvd as well as other forgotten shows
Lol, back when kid shows could have epilepsy-inducing intros XD
commercials too, i bet.
Whoa. Tazmania O_O
I haven't seen this since ... since it was on.
Wow, that's a trip. I nearly forgot about this show's existence. I'm so far removed from this part of my life, I can barely remember the nostalgia it conjures. I'm sure if I seen this as a teenager, it would open a floodgate of memories, but I think even then I'd forgotten it.
Wow that flashing is fucking harsh to anyone with even the mildest potential for having epileptic fits
I used to watch this every Saturday morning as a kid! Good memories :D
Classic ♥
Classic comment ❤️
Lol I remember one day in year 5, I sat up soo quickly in the morning when I woke up, just so I could go watch this with my big brother.. which gave me a really bad nosebleed..
@TheTBaron same, spending hour after hour watching intro's in the middle of the night reminiscing about the good ol' days whilst only 17 years old...
Warner Bros. Needs to release this show on DVD.

LOVE this cartoon! Used to watch it every day just so I could watch the intro
omg wow i used to watch this all the time back when cartoon network was 24/7 before adult swim came on the air

Havent seen this in years looking at it now compared to todays tv i would prefer this
The People who sang this intro are two of the greatest voices of Saturday Morning Cartoon's Jess Wakko Harnell and Jim Cummings
this is one of the best opening themes ever. I used to love this show.
This show was AWESOME
True. But when we see the sky as blue, the camera is still zooming in on the island, so we're not technically in Tazmania at that point.

So much nostalgia. I just noticed that the main part is sung by the same guy who voiced Wakko in Animaniacs. How did I never notice that back then?
I remembered that show when I was Little.
Just spent an hour memorizing this. Time well spent. :D
He was my fave 🎉
Holy shit I use to watch this on Kids WB when I was a little girl good times.:)
i loved this show
Who let wakko warner sing the intro lol
Maybe thaddeaus plotz lol
Legendary opening credits!! Taz-Mania :)
I miss this show...
I smiled the entire time I watched this...wooowww..
If Electric Soldier Porygon got banned in the US, why didn't they ban this?
The Electric Soldier Porygon(a banned Pokemon episode in Japan) has stronger seizure than Taz-Mania intro(from USA).
Personally I don't think so.
Either no one back then complained about it or Tazmania was such an obscure show that no one noticed or cared that it was on.
The length of the strobe sequences in the Taz-Mania intro is way shorter than the ones in Electric Soldier Porygon. We're talking a few seconds vs. a minute+.
I miss this program!
There are no toucans, dingos, wolves, kiwis, koalas or alligators in Tasmania. Our native forests are eucalypts not palms. The kinds of desert you see at :45 don't exist at all.
Then again, it's only a cartoon...
They got the Kookaburra right at least.
Oh, you're from there? How is it like? No spinning crazy Tazmanian devils i supose ;)?
Well, this is not actually the real Tasmania. It is a cartoon place called Tazmania. which is loosely based on the real life i
island.
But it mixes it with the Australia that's mostly the Outback (which is Western Australia and its surrounding areas), which is why you have dingos, kiwis, koalas, alligators, and Aboriginie hunters (albeit one that's white and Ivy League educated).
i loved this cartoon
Yea , i agree. To be fair though , Jess Harnell who is from New Jersey , probably decided to sing this using his Wakko voice ( who as Treemeadow pointed , has a Liverpool accent ).
Man, I never did know what he said after The Kiwi lol thanks for clarifying.
Great show, it sure did have ALOT of side characters other than taz's family!!
Taz is the best - I love him! ^.^
I rememebr singing along to this as a kid and I thought it was just tazazamania tazazamania haha
Everytime the Taz Mania words appeared, I thought of that incident in Pokemon that left 800 kids in hospitals with seizures.
come to Tasmania: where we have fuck all
Love how nobody's talking about how Crash Bandicoot was named Willy too
Welcome to the land that's way under, down under, the sky's always yellow come rain or shine . . .
Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania.Where topsy meets turvy and they start to spin, like a Tazmanian devil and his closest kin.

lol, WB seemed to have a thing for HUGE casts of characters in the 90s. Always seemed to result in one of them getting the short end of the stick. I barely even remember Wendel T. Wolf and Buddy Boar appearing.
Memories memories memories!
The refrain is: "Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania"
This is the golden age of animation. Right before they started using computers.
0:47 always thought he said If you ever dial just call on me phone
WE WANT A DVD SET OF TAZ MANIA!!!
i always loved the ending part..lol
Yep. I think he played Taz too, but I may be wrong.
I remember watching this on Saturday mornings, man how time flies.
how did we go from this to one episode after another of SpongeBob
this made my day!
I watched this as a child, this intro was on every episode, the guy below is talking bollucks
I vaguely remember this show.
WARNING: May cause seizures at 0:17 and 0:32 . And that is why this theme rocks!
I think they changed it in later years after some epilepsy incident where the flashing bit caused some kid to go into a fit.
ROTFLMAO!!!!! I am up here dying laughing at this!!!! Throwback for sure!!!!!! I miss the 90's!!!
its on on my TV right now!!! its so funny ;D
OMG I was such a massive fan of this show when I was a kid, I never failed to miss an episode, and I used to sing along to the opening, I even owned a tracksuit that had a picture of Taz-Mania and the word Taz-Mania on the right trouser leg
My God! This brings back memories! 😀
It's pretty ridiculous that fifteen or whatever years later, I can still sing this entire song.
Taz had his own cartoon? o_O I only found out about this because of a "top eleven catchiest themes" list.
Crack up. The song is about Tasmania, but in the beginning taz is standing in front of what appears to be Uluru
I love this
I've always wondered why it's so fricking hard for them to use actual AUSTRALIANS when voicing Australian characters
Oh god I love this
had a siezure as a kid when this on one morning... low and behold me and my mum found out i was epileptic
That's one way to start your Saturday
0:35-0:56 The most HILARIOUS part!!! LOL Bottoms up if you agree!
"The sky's always yellow in the rain or shine" So many flashbacks.
it was on a few years before 96-97
god i wish i had that voice of the austrailan dude doing all the talking through out the intro
Jess Harnell singing the theme, very nice
I have yet to see this show, or any of the other greats I grew up with, released for home video where I live (UK).
But I guarantee, there was enough of a fanbase for them over here to justify releasing them here.
Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the singers for the opening of Tazmania Jess "Wakko" Harnell and the legendary Jim Cummings
the sega genesis taz game made me rage so hard Dx
How did this not cause seizures? I feel ill just watching now.
Reminds me of Saturday morning after a week of school. Back when Saturday mornings were the best for a kid......now its just shit.
I love Taz. He D Best
this was a real intro!!!, and darkwing duck, and duck tales, and anamaniacs and a lot of the cartoons on that time. my god how proud i am!!!
I loved it and like taz devil
Check out my rendition of Tom & Jerry Kids opening on piano!
whoa blast from the past
I love taz mania it is one favourite cartoon
the platypus brothers, Gator and Axl were the best in this show :D
