Haha I’ve done something similar. Went away to Newquay and only brought Layton exclusif and Tony Iomi monkey special and it was one of the hottest days of the year in September 😂
1:35, and this is where the boundaries become murky regarding the extent to which you should rely on the opinion of your "favourite" RUclipsr. The concept of purchasing, keeping, and recommending a product with the intention of "eh, it's content; I'll just talk about it in a video," even if the RUclipsr does not enjoy it, is where it gets quite dangerous for the consumer. Happens way too often, sadly.
I think you missed my point here. Even though I kept this to film, I appreciate how some could really like this fragrance and it is good. For me, I did struggle to like it at first because it wasn’t really my thing. But it wouldn’t be in the list if I didn’t think it was good or not worth recommending to others who may love this rose and oud dna! Before I accidentally purchased this one, I had the idea of making fragrances I regret buying and since I thought of the idea, I bought that and decided to keep it for that video to begin with. But I do agree with you here, don’t take a random person’s word for if something is good or not👍🏼
@@SethFragrance You're right with Royal Oud as well, of course. I could legitimately add dozens more. But I'll exercise a bit of self control and suggest only a few more: Black Iris, Layton Exclusive, 1888...
Re: Replica:I liked Under the Stars best, but even Jazz Club and Sailing Day were better for me than By the Fireplace...but inly UtS is a winter one. Outside of Replica, Id do TF Oud Wood or its parfum variant, Roja Dove's Qatar, or for another less expensive one, Mancera's Aoud Lemon Mint. Xerjoff's Pikovaya Dama is not winter, but Aventus-like in its mass appeal and all year wearability.
I haven't found a single scent from them I like yet (I'm new though. Xerjoff and Boadicea the Victorious seem to be my favorite, although Roja Dove and PDM are in the top 5 too.)
@@RationallySkepticalInteresting, I'm the exact opposite. I haven't found an Amouage fragrance I didn't like, but so far I disliked all Xerjoffs, including Naxos and 40 knots. PDM I used to love, but they get a bit boring after a while imo. Haltane, Carlisle and the Exclusifs are still incredible though
I tune into all of this guys videos, but since this aggressive decanting promo pushing, 60-70% of the videos are just fodder, that I think he just wants to sell
I'm pretty sure he'd like to make some money. But his opinions still seem pretty sound to me--not that I agree with his every opinion, but that they seem sincere.
Hey thanks for the feedback! I can tone down the promos, I try and save it until the very end of the videos so it doesn’t interrupt the main content😊 The reason I push the course is 1, yes it does make me a little bit of extra money. But also 2, it is a genuine way for people to grow their collections much quicker and allows others to try new fragrances. As you can appreciate, fragrances aren’t cheap😂 any money I’ve ever made from this channel from either RUclips ads, the £10 course or from affiliate links gets invested straight back into the channel with me buying more bottles so I can talk about them in videos and try to keep the content fresh and have new fragrance to talk about. Hope you can see where I’m coming from here!
My favorite scents to wear in winter are Salvatore Ferragamo Spicy Leather, Dior Homme Intense, Aqua di Parma Oud & YSL Tuxedo.
Nice choices! Tuxedo is my favourite out of them and then Dior homme😎
