Love the conversation about "hope". This word has come to mean so many different things! I totally get why "hope" was the last evil that came out of Pandora's box because of the very superficial way that many people sling the word around. Hope, when used as wishful thinking is a form of psycho-spiritual bypass. A fantasy about being able to control outcomes without changing what I can about the situation. It's a form of conning oneself.
BUT, there is another form of hope that is based in existential reality. This hope is based in a faith grounded in the experiential reality that Love sustains us regardless of outcome. In my many years as a contemplative, I've experienced existential love and safety as being the rock bottom reality from which all beings arise. This hope allows me to rest in safety regardless of what is happening in the outer world. I fervently pray that everyone would have an experience of this vast existential love and safety. It allows choices to arise so that one can take appropriate action, or if no action is possible, to consent to reality as it is at the time. This Hope is a deep peace that is the "pearl of great price", the gold in the treasure box of a human being. I'm now 70 years old and it's been a life's journey to come to this place.

Very nice and sharp remark about the difference between hope and intencionality. Well done Joseph!
P.S.: Diabetes is a perfectly reversible disease. Check out Dr. Jeff Volek's books

House brick = living situation / to build / foundation and extension. Hard and dried = frozen unfertilized eggs (dry ice) / compression / mud brick. Giving birth = generative / to separate out. The younger brother (youth / relationship /competition? / opposite gender) takes the photo (creating a static image of the brick / mocking, but fertilizes it?). Photography / development / perspective / creativity / b&w / light / non-biological chemistry. Laughing together (ambivalent? affect / relationship / maybe infection). Snap shot / snap frozen. Snap - to break in two / to split. Great dream.
