Paddington 1 and 2 are top tier family movies. So charming and wholesome. Everybody seems to be having a great time. Also, a pretty smart film about intolerance and community.
Edit: I’m pretty sure Hugh Grant, who is a notorious sourpuss, has said in interviews that P2 is his favourite film he’s worked on.
Still surprised by how good they are. Cannot wait for 3 :D

@@unclehollywoodshouseofther995 Yes! I do specialty costuming and prosthetics. So for Red One I worked on the costumes. And for Deadpool I made prosthetics.

Watch Paddington. Both are incredible family movies, the second one in particular is just perfection. They're smart, they don't talk down to the audience, and they honour the books.

Throwing my vote in for the Paddington movies! I've never seen either of them. A watchalong with the Peaches would be the excuse I've been looking for to finally sit down and watch them.
I so want what Mr Miyagi's 'buried secret' to be that he had another student named Julie Pierce and Hilary Swank finally makes an appearance in Cobra Kai and I'm being 100 percent serious. I just think it'd be awesome.

First two Paddington’s are great. Watching this one, too.
It’s not just alliteration, the Paddington character is canonically from Peru.
one of the reasons why Hellboy 3 never got off the ground was because while The Golden Army made its money back, it also opened the SAME weekend as The Dark Knight. At that point, the cards are kinda stacked against you, but this new one looks like fun
That was part of the reason, but Hellboy 2 was so successful in DVD sails that Hellboy 3 was temporarily green lit. It got canceled shortly after though, because Del Toro said it would take at least 200 Million to make and there were no guaranteed DVD sails after box office because of the advent of streaming services. Over the years Ron Pearlman and Del Doro have gotten close multiple times in getting the film rights, but the last reboot loosing so much money on its run really messed with investor confidence. The Croocked Man was only given 25 Million to work with. It’s salt in the wound that streaming services (the thing that scared the studio off at first) is actually something that would guarantee additional revenue after theater release.

The Del Toro Hellboys are some of my all time favorite movies@@bonaparte6431. Anytime Ron or Del Toro would talk about them and the status of 3, I would always listen with hopeful ears. The studio offered them a graphic novel license, but they said that film was where their version started, and that’s where it needed to end. And I agree with them. The only real alternative I would see as being a good compromise is an animated movie made by the studio that animated the Spidervere films. That way they could still bring all the cast back and complete the story. Del Toro made that claymation pinokio for Netflix, so animation might not be off the table.

Yep, Batman: Caped Crusader is set in the 40s (I think), and in addition to retro tech, Batman is going to do a lot of detective work. Bruce Timm is ecstaticly excited for this series because he gets to do everything that he couldn't do in the 90s. Buckle up, everyone, this show's going to be a duzy.

36:23 Kevin Conroy will always be my Batman. But that voice is the closest I've ever heard anyone get to him in that character.
It's good, but the closest to Conroy in my opinion is Troy Baker. His impression in Batman vs TMNT had me fooled for a bit in the initial trailer.

They had a teaser for Caped Crusader a few weeks back giving us a taste of the cast: Hamish Linklatter (Batman), Christina Ricci (Catwoman), Diedrich Bader (Two-Face), Tom Kenny, John DiMaggio, Mckenna Grace, and SO many more we still don’t know🤯😱; also James Tucker (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the showrunner

I like how Red One looks like it could turn out to be a secret live action Nightmare Before Christmas. Like if Santa is taken by Halloween creatures and this is just the perspective of the people trying to get him back. And Seven Bucks Productions is Johnson’s own film studio.
Ron Pearlman & Del Toro have been on the front lines for SOOOO long trying to get the 3rd movie made, and now that Selma Blare has come back to part time acting it is still possible if the studio would just accept that its what the fans would show up for…But that is the biggest road block, after the last reboot lost money on its 150million budget, they don’t wanna invest the 200million Del Toro has been asking for. The Croocked Man was made on a 25million budget, which is shoe string in today’s economy for a film. But, maybe the script rocks.
It’s funny but fitting that Jay is the one who would jump at getting a Sky Net in his house, and Adam is the one who would E.M.P first ask questions later. Adam is right though, we’ve learned the deadly lesions of AI from X-Men’97, and Dune, and Matrix, and Terminator…

Um,...just imagine I'm posting an accurate cladogram of placental mammals right here.
So because of this, I spent a hilarious amount of time falling down the rabbit hole of sloths and bears. There is an extremely fast bear named the sloth bear, but sloths are actually in the same family as armadillos and ant eaters (which is pretty wild in itself) I wanted to bring this up, because if you all haven’t seen the sloth bear before, look them up. Because they remind me of that one cousin that everyone has, but no one actually knows what part of the family they come from.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man is one of the best comic miniseries of all time. The film looks perfectly in tune with that atmosphere. I can't wait for that one.

@purplehax1091 Not quite a prequel, since it's separate from the other 3 movies, but it's set in 1950s Appalachia, so definitely a much younger Hellboy than the versions we've seen previously.

"Soul in a robot" is more Full Metal Alchemist than AI.
That last Hellboy was.....a movie. Not terrible, not bad, just.....so-so and forgettable. I can't remember anything about it, which is a bad sign. But I am glad they are trying again. I figure, treat it like James Bond or Mad Max and give us a new film every now and then. Recast if you need to, some installments will be better than others, just give us....something engaging like the first two.
