It's an orange, striped, four-legged carnivore. Just because the stripes are blue, doesn't mean the inspiration isn't there. Whether you pronounce it tea-grex or tie-grex, it's still got "tiger/tigre" in the name.
Gentlemen, it looks more like a T-Rex mixed with a tiger, let's just agree on that and be on our way to help another settlement, I'll mark it on your map... Looks more like a T-Rex though.
Not massively, has a couple of new moves and has a super roar. But all Tigrex really does is charge at you, and that's something they both do 80% of the time
Brute tigrex has almost an entirely new moveset centered around powerful roars that cause shockwaves. Ebony odogaran has a new moveset and even projectiles he spits at you with. Scarred Yian has a horrific new fire attack compared to the normal version. Ruiner Nergi is vastly different and far more difficult to beat than normal Nergi when you fight him after reaching MR 100 and unlock the ability to farm him. The story version of him is nerfed to be be beatable at that time.
I was creating a piece of original Monster Hunter, isekai fan fiction, and made a cool dragon idea that was based on the main antagonist of the dreaded and awful Hellboy reboot. This idea is named ''Nimua, the blood dragon'' and she's a dragon literally made of blood from other dragons, dragons like Diablos or Ratholos, but she's not just a dragon, oh no, she's like a parasite; who can possess dead/injured humans or other dragons, once that human or dragon is already used up; their bones will be another part of the blood dragon's collection, Nimua lives in the stone-and-bone-filled caverns where a lake resides, a lake full of blood from dragons, where she sleeps or after finishing her host; waits for her next prey, which is a reference to that idea of the blood dragon being based on Hellboy's interpretation of the Lady Of The Lake: Nimue who, in Hellboy, was the queen of blood. Though the injured or dead host may vary by gender, Nimua is always female, as if though made of blood from male and female dragons; the voice is always female-sounding, but gender aside; this dragon is the main antagonist of my fan work.
@@Gummywurmm thank you! Seeing people nitpick every tiny detail in this video just frustrates me so much. Most of the details he gets wrong are very small stuff that no one cares about.
9:55 kinda upset that he called brute tigrex pretty much the same as the base monster. The fight is different in many ways, where as the normal tigrex its just you and the monster playing chasings and waiting for either to get tired, Brute tigrex focuses on the main aspect of what Tigrex is meant to be, a "Roaring Wyvern". Brute tigrex may still charge at you yes, but it has different ways of ending those charges like a brief pause then followed by a huge Aoe roar, and when its not charging its constantly doing small but damaging roars over and over. Instead of mentioning its roaring capabilities you just go over what tigrex usually does, throwing rocks. :/ Sorry if i seem a little buthurt but you make it seem like brute tigrex is just another tigrex.
to be fair, there's a lot of mistakes in this vid. I highly doubt the writer has actually invested a lot of time into MHW, which is fine and all since videos like this can bolster the playerbase. but yea I sorta doubt they've beaten the main game if they've played it at all. much more likely that they just Google researched the game and went about the MHW site to see what they could find about the various monsters. I barely ever watch vids made by these guys, but I also can't really harp on them for inaccuracies because I don't expect them to be hardcore players of what they talk about.
All subspecies and variants of monsters are stronger than the original. People just leave it at that sadly and it’s frustrating. Like with zamtrios. The original uses armor made of ice to damage you quickly but it’s subspecies the tiger stripe doesn’t use armor but stays in its inflated form almost 100% of the time and uses thats aoe blast significantly more
Hold up.. all the hours into this game and I didn't know you could mine an Uragaan's back if it is toppled over!..... I did know that you can use a net on a toppled Zinogre to catch the bugs it has following it.
- You can mine uragaan's back - catch bug on zinogres's back - mine ores on basarios back when its cracked open - You can carve some materials on lao shan lung and yamatsukami's back - and there are mining spot on dahren mohran, jhen mohran and zorah magdaros' back
The interesting thing I realise (could be wrong) is that Shara Ishvalda's rock form may be inspired by the Japanese folklore spider creature Tsuchigumo(literally earth spider). When Shara in rock form burrows underground you can see it's actually spider-alike with 8 legs.
NahteOnFyre !! I tried to fight it recently, this thing is impossible to fight without getting knifed from any distance. The only real method I have for fighting it without constantly having to use potions to heal myself is by using my slinger to grapple its body or legs to slash it from stuck-to-range. Even trying to go for its legs on the ground will get me slashed.
The Brute Tigrex is in all honesty kind of easier than the normal Tigrex. The Brute variant mostly just roars over and over again which is super easy to avoid. That fight wasnt really much fun. The Gold Rathian though was a lot of fun.
@@ar.71944 Yeah, just like every title update in iceborne. Whats your point exactly? If its that hes a brand new monster, Nergi already uses a lot of Gore's animations and he has the same skeleton, so it'd be more likely than other monsters. The very first monster we got was Rajang too, and he had a brand new skeleton.
Ebony odogaron, basically the same as odogaron but with dragon Blight.. oh yea his move is almost completely different And wtf have u seen brute tigrex roar? His moveset is based around his roar
@@PWNINSWAGMASTER yeah but dragon blight can really throw you off and he fact that he JUMPS OVER YOU while he shoots it at you makes it even more disorienting
The Anjanaths head crest is actually its nose with it can expand when tracking prey and the wings are sails, likely to make itself appear bigger and to manage heat.
Would love to see Dark Eater Midir as a crossover monster. They can literally implement his moveset and arena and it would fit right into the game. Not only that, but I really want a dark souls armor set. Maybe Artorias? Or Ornstein? Kiaran for girls?
I wouldn’t mind seeing some Machine-Monsters from HZD. They keep doing tiny crossover events, but why not bring the amazing and deadly machines into MH as well? Just size and beef them up to make them more durable but keep the exact same combat progression that they have in HZD... Wherein, just doing massive amounts of damage is nearly pointless. You need to target their weapons/offensive tools, and focus a VERY specific point to tear away the armor, then attack the tiny opening you created. And rather than pick one or two of the monsters, just have a legit expansion where the hunter’s find some kind of rift that takes them to a place with elder and lesser machines everywhere. Of all the games out there, I think very few lend themselves more to a MH crossover than HZD.
I swear when I was just doing a normal gathering resources run that bazelgeuse came out of nowhere. Literally know how it feels to be a farmer who was literally about to get blown up by napalm
You should put "Every *LARGE * Monster in Monster Hunter World in 13 minutes" as the title...that way individuals can know exactly what to expect before clicking on the video. Edit: I still enjoyed the video nonetheless.
Bruh you missed like every single difference between subspecies/variants and their normal counterparts. Bazelgeuse just adds blastblight? Seriously? Did you not see the new moves? And that’s not mentioning the many mistakes with the info here, with the weaknesses and the ecology.
To be fair, I called the Seering Bazelgeuse "B-53 loaded with nukes", because apparently the bigger, deadlier bombs it drops are a thing, contrary to what Sir Leaderboard will say.
I would love to see Lagia make a comeback, but it's been made pretty clear that Underwater Combat is never returning...so we'd have to settle for Ivory Cruz at best.
4u only have 7 more monster than iceborne after raging brachy and furious rajang, 6 if you count the "fan favorite monster" release in may. And capcom still plan to add even more after june
I've been playing Monster Hunter since the start (I was roughly 11 when the first one came out) & have yet to find video game series more fun than this one.
The monsters I want in world are : Testucabra Barroth Gore Magala Yian kut ku Gravios Querpeco Zamitrios Sergios Cephadrome Monoblos Mitizune (bubble dragon)
Normal Anja uses the as a form of cooling, not flying, and they clearly aren't built like wings. Fulgar uses them as ways to generate and store more electricity.
0:42 Already incorrect, it’s a Sub Species, not a Variant. Sub Species have completely different mechanics and look very different though still similar to the other species. Variants are the same creature but slightly different with additional powers but is still the same creature, essentially a powered up version.
RUclips recommended it to me cause I was watching dinosaur videos. I have never heard, seen or had any interest in these sort of game before. Yet here I am in my third video and wanting more
@@CandiedCarrion no way, I’m horrible at these games. I would just scream and die 1 minute in. But the design and graphics are super interesting so I enjoy watching.. would love a well written movie ou series.
9:56 also. *brute tigrex ain’t a friggin variant* there has been only 8 variants in ALL OF MONSTER HUNTER. and only 4 variants in world... the rest is subspecies mate. The variants in world are only: savage jho, shrieking legiana, ruiner nergigante, and blackveil Vaal hazak. That’s all. Now all variants in monster hunter are: rusted Kushala daora, raging brachydios, savage jho, furious rajang, shrieking legiana, blackveil Vaal hazak, ruiner nergigante, and the last monster I forgot lol. But there’s 8 variants. So most of the thing in this list that you called “variants” really just made me sigh. Edit: just remembered the last variant. The last variant in all monster hunter was chaotic gore magala. So the 8 variants in all monster hunter is: rusted Kushala, Blackveil, ruiner, savage jho, furious, shrieking, raging brach, and chaotic gore.
All (known) variants in mainline MH: Gen1: Scarred Yian Garuga (well, this is a discussed one of if it is or not. Its unique among them as it has never had its own armor ever since gen 1 mh) Gen2: Rusted Kushala Daora Furious Rajang Gen3: Savage Deviljho Gen4: Raging Brachidios Chaotic Gore Magala Gen5: Shrieking Legiana Ruiner Nergigante Seething Bazelgeuse Blackveil Vaal Hazak 10 known variants outside of Frontiers and such
My understanding is that monsters that are made tougher and more difficult with potentially changed behaviors and move sets are varients, and subspecies are completely different elements entirely, so by that, brute is a variant to me
@@jessisthejessis1823 subspecies are also always more difficult and tougher than their normal counterparts, like the azure/silver rathalos (which are not "entirely different elements", just like Ivory Lagiacrus, the Green Nargacuga and so on, so that argument is invalid) or the acidic glavenus and every other subspecies.. and the Brute Tigrex is still a subspecies and not a variant lol
@@Mekudan Pretty sure Azure and Silver raths are Rare species, not subspecies. The way i see it, different colours but same elements are Rare species, same element and color with some new features are Variants and when they have both different element and color they're subspecies. By that logic i think that Brute Tigrex is more of a rare species but i might be wrong and it's just Capcom being inconsistent.

I can't wait to see which monsters make it to Monster Hunter Stories 2
Couple of mispronounced names and you got Brachydios's ecology wrong, it's a symbiotic slime mold not it's spit that goes boom, otherwise Great vid
Also the Bazelguese doesnt drop scales for bombs, they're just a molten material that has an indefinte way of exploding
It’s saliva works to activate the explosive properties of it and that’s why he’s always licking his hands
@jimb0ismyname0 imagine putting this here and not excpeting he just wants the vid to be casual and funny lmao
@@Gummywurmm thank you! Seeing people nitpick every tiny detail in this video just frustrates me so much. Most of the details he gets wrong are very small stuff that no one cares about.
He called the Deviljho a “devil Joe”🤣
Sorry if i seem a little buthurt but you make it seem like brute tigrex is just another tigrex.
to be fair, there's a lot of mistakes in this vid.
The original uses armor made of ice to damage you quickly but it’s subspecies the tiger stripe doesn’t use armor but stays in its inflated form almost 100% of the time and uses thats aoe blast significantly more
Okay so I'm not the only one who got a little offended over them downplaying and glassing over Brute
Rathalos used to be my favourite, but when i heard about safijiva, my mind was blown! It just looks so cool an its definitely my new favourite
I love that you talked about the monsters not based on their HP and attack but on their attacks .
A pickle once slapped me with a Tobi-Kadachi and I died
Hold up.. all the hours into this game and I didn't know you could mine an Uragaan's back if it is toppled over!.....
I did know that you can use a net on a toppled Zinogre to catch the bugs it has following it.
that's monster hunter for you, always found new things even after countless hour playing it
Yeah when bugnets were a thing you could catch fulgur bugs on his back
Also did you know you could get wyvern carapaces from radobaan when it’s toppled over
- You can mine uragaan's back
- catch bug on zinogres's back
- mine ores on basarios back when its cracked open
- You can carve some materials on lao shan lung and yamatsukami's back
- and there are mining spot on dahren mohran, jhen mohran and zorah magdaros' back
works on radobaan aswell

The interesting thing I realise (could be wrong) is that Shara Ishvalda's rock form may be inspired by the Japanese folklore spider creature Tsuchigumo(literally earth spider). When Shara in rock form burrows underground you can see it's actually spider-alike with 8 legs.
I guess you’re kinda right when you say rajang eats elder dragons, but it only eats the kirin’s HORN when it gets ahold of it
I haven't fought Rajang in MHFU although I played the game so thanks for the info

The Brute Tigrex is in all honesty kind of easier than the normal Tigrex. The Brute variant mostly just roars over and over again which is super easy to avoid. That fight wasnt really much fun. The Gold Rathian though was a lot of fun.
The barroth won’t attack unless you attack it
im hoping the gore magala and its adult variant makes a comeback
Gore magala looked sooo badass when I started playing MH. Would love to see it in MHW!
i really hope shagaru makes it too since hes already been in frontier outside of 4u
Sorry guys that would take too much time. And it would be like adding velkhana. They would need to make an entire story
Well he might come out next game on the ps5. I hope they make him the main antagonist again.

He got a hard time with Ancient Leshen and Behemoth :D
Alatreon and Fatalis looking at each other with big grins
Add raging brachy and furious ape too
Would love to see Dark Eater Midir as a crossover monster. They can literally implement his moveset and arena and it would fit right into the game. Not only that, but I really want a dark souls armor set. Maybe Artorias? Or Ornstein? Kiaran for girls?
Oohh i'd love the soul of cinder armor and a coiled longsword
Would be awful, as it would have to be PS4 exclusive.
@@horsebox5138 It wouldn't be the first. And if they were planning something larger, I'm sure they could figure out something.

All (known) variants in mainline MH:
Gen1:
Scarred Yian Garuga (well, this is a discussed one of if it is or not. Its unique among them as it has never had its own armor ever since gen 1 mh)
Gen2:

Gen4:
Raging Brachidios
Chaotic Gore Magala
Gen5:
Shrieking Legiana
Ruiner Nergigante
Seething Bazelgeuse
Blackveil Vaal Hazak
10 known variants outside of Frontiers and such
The Irish Elite you forgot savage jho. Also seething is a variant? I always thought he was a subspecies.
