    Never laughed so hard seeing the echo pull past everything on the straights - I'm looking at my 22yr old boy sitting in the garage with a lot more respect now. Thanks for posting.

    I'd love a full walkthrough on this car. What was done to the engine to get it to rev to 9k, suspension setup, was rear camber added etc. Looks so much fun.

      It'd be interesting to see why he went with the Prius engine (unless they're technically the same engine).
      I mean then that means that you could have some prius' getting around with trumpets ... That'd be sick

      @@markreyes4627 the Prius engine is an atkinson cycle engine. With the simple swap of a cam the engine becomes a high compression motor. With a few other efficiency/lightweight goodies from factory it's a simple swap good power potential.

      @@stephans1245 awesome. Thank you for the insight. I imagine the results vs the work needed to swap and do a cam surpases what could be done with the original echo motor? Is the original echo motor not capable of high compression?

    • @saik0uguy
      @saik0uguy Год назад +1

      @@markreyes4627 it's almost exactly the same. They share the same rod it's just that the 1NZFXE (Prius Motor) has the 13:1 OR 13.4 static compression pistons running in Atkinson cycle.
      So you can simply swap pistons over on a regular 1NZFE. The block did change over the years so the transmission may not bolt on directly as some holes don't exist on newer Prius block - so you may need to drill new holes. It's just Prius motors are generally lower KMs and generally not trashed out and dirt cheap

      Hi, this is (was) my car. I've got some more videos on my youtube channel.
      However, not much in the way of what you describe.
      The "moving our world" youtube channel came to the drags one time, probably gives the best overview of the car.

      @@roman3s interesting. Did you keep the hybrid components? I’ve been told that a 2ZR-FE was a direct swap for these. Had you considered that lug or were there complications? I figured that’s what you were going to say it was. I appreciate the dialogue. 👍🏻

    • @roman3s
      @roman3s 6 месяцев назад +2

      @gryphon123456 The good thing about a 1NZ is that there were cams and valve springs readily available, and the motor was crazy cheap. $400 nzd for a 30,000km old engine. 2zr are less common here and more expensive, i think the will only bolt into the ncp90 shape onwards. As this car is a little narrower. It wasnt too much work to swap in, if you use an earlier prius motor that has a mechanical waterpump. Then its a standard 1nz block with higher comp pistons. Much easier to fit an alternator.

    El 2zzge para el yaris es aceptable porque algo rinde con el menor peso pero aun asi le cuesta y eso que este esta modificado un poco y este motor 2zzge le cuesta un poquito ,es un motor lento sin par en el celica por ejemplo ya es demasiado lento el peso se le nota,estos motores parecen chinos copiados de honda, Toyota a echo un motor cutre chino
