After searching out the fix and never getting a solution, I spent a lot of time to fix the error and found why it happened and how to fix it.

Worked for me in June 2024, thank you man. Was trying to use Chrome to download a youtube video, couldn't do to the 403 error. And I google'd "http?1.1 403 forbidden internet download manager" your video popped up! I used the same proxy as you in the video. Cheers

Thanks a lot. While downloading a 2 GB file, I got the " 403 forbidden" message when the downloaded data size was over 1 GB. I said what a f.... because I'm browsing through a slow internet connection and didn't want to start from the beginning. Your tutorial saved me from wasting so much time.

*•In my case I've do download 7GB file from google drive.*
*•I started it by right clicking on the download button & clicked on the download it with IDM.*
*•IDM catches it but with "No Resume Capability" some how it stopped at 32% & I have to cancel it.*
*•Then I searched the internet for the solution & its simple: Just stop the download & put: =0 at the last of the "link address" in the "properties of downloading file in IDM".*
*•Then whole night I left it but in the morning I checked & It stuck at 85% then I paused it & refresh the download but it says "http/1.1 403 forbidden".*
*•Then I came to this video & do the same as directed (In New IDM you have click on "choose system & remove the line at the bottom where it says [do not use proxy sever for addresses beginning with]" , I've changed "Region Settings in Psiphon" after I select "Netherlands" & refresging the download address It worked but with a low transfer rate 180 KB/sec. Still hope it will download in next 2 Hours.*

Did you update your IDM to the latest version? I was ignoring its request for an update and it stopped downloading YT videos. I just updated it and now it's downloading YT videos again. (Thanks for the advice, @horebtrading3956 )
@@danielbueno8474 i downloaded the new idm on their website and used it. i was getting same error on the cracked version which was prompting for update but when i do it the update destroys the cracked version so i had to download the original idm for it. i still get the errors too
I've reinstalled the extension 100 times. Upgraded 100 times, and reinstalled Chrome 100 times. IDM button will not appear when I open a YT video in a new window or tab. Left clicking a YT video works great, that is opening a video in the same window displays the IDM download button just fine. But again IBM download button does not appear when I open a YT video in NEW tab or a NEW window... I'm using IDM 6.42. Win10 and Chrome. All settings in download options are correct. Any Help? TIA!
I haven't experiencing these issues before my idm was 6.40 version. I dunno what happened to idm, it's getting WORSE.

This problem only appeared with RUclips. I tried this solution and the problem was solved for me. (Use an incognito browser to download from RUclips), I hope it solves the problem for you

The simplest and most efficient method
literaly, change IP at ur IDM.
mean, the connection u use was blocked by ur provider....
either using some VPN for streaming, or directly using other city IP if u need to download them

@@MUKKA369 Ssjt... 🙂. If you have (Symantec?) firewall, there could be the problem. Try to reinstall IDM. Put IDM in exception list. Restart your PC (best after cleaning your registry with CCleaner). And try again. Have a bit of patience. Good luck !
it was solved for me when I eneabled the extension in microsoft edge internet browser . In idm proxi switched off. very strange , but it worked

IDM has just been updated 0n 11.7.24. It seems to fix the issue.
that issue has been resolved, but I still can't download videos in .mkv, it's a RUclips bug since in other sites it works. 😢😢
