    Great update! I’m sure this will save time, frustration, and maybe some planes!

    Great video guys I just got my EC-1500 and the servo wire to the rudder was defective so Horizon is sending me a new fuselage. I can’t wait to fly it I also got a full flap configuration as well so I think I’m going to use your mix.
    Thanks Guys👍👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦

    That was great. Your boy was greasing those landings. So nice.

    I use flight modes on the flaps channel that way I can trim the plane for each flaps setting. It takes the guess work out of it. And you can change your trim if you say use a a heavier or lighter battery it's just how I do it😊

      Makes sense. Could be wrong but I’m afraid newer flyers might be confused by flight modes. I need to try that.

      @PilotRyanMedia it confused me a little at first but it's definitely the way to go. And it's actually pretty simple

    That's why we put our flap system on a mode to where we trim it out in the air instead of guessing but the mix should be.

    • @PilotRyanMedia
      @PilotRyanMedia  Год назад

      We’re not guessing, it’s in the book and it’s spot on until you mod the flap size. What other plane comes with different sized flaps option? This is an education that the manual doesn’t cover. Book settings as a reference with flap to elevator callouts, we sorted it out in real time. Most beginners won’t understand flight modes. If someone mods to big flap option and doesn’t change the mix they will experience a nose down condition. We experimented in public to show how we landed on our findings. Our numbers are helpful and hard earned after a failed hypothesis. No one’s guessing

    Love the video will definitely compensate my elevator on mine to match your demonstration. Curious, have you experienced any nose gear failure from hard landings starting to come away from the Styrofoam and becoming loose forward and aft

  • @IllFlyIt

    I just did the maiden on mine today and had to take out some of the compensation. I'm flying on floats though so that might have made it different than what they recommend. Thanks Ryan and crew

    Did you mechanically trim the elevator down 3mm for level flight like the manual says to do? Just wondering if that is included in your 8 and 14 for flaps or not.

    • @PilotRyanMedia

      Good question. Yes I did. The manual mix was perfect until I changed to bigger flaps.

      @@PilotRyanMedia Du-Bro low bounce wheels and add grease to the axels softens landings and quiets that noise. BTW, what material is that runway made of?
