Here it comes, television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes the fabulous sixty-minute Price is Right!
We are showcasing episodes not viewed in decades. Starting from Season 11 (1982), this is the first season when animal furs were no longer offered as prizes, supporting Bob’s advocacy of animal rights in memory of his wife Dorothy Jo.
To celebrate what would have been Bob Barker's 100th birthday, the channel is also featuring episodes from the debut season of The "New" Price Is Right in 1972.

It was 1976 with the Amana all over again! Lol... only one thing fell on Janice this time!
I love watching these older clips, I used to get to watch The Price is Right while home sick from school and on summer vacation, always loved Bob and that show, we now watch it almost daily in our retirement with Drew.
This is it for the Walk of Fame game, it went into retirement after this. Bob had already given up on it because they didn't even bother talking about the autographs in the book.
I wonder if it was because Johnny Olsen’s autograph was in the book and they didn’t want an awkward moment with that appearing.
@@markmajewicz2269 Oh, yes, that's something I didn't think of. 😢
@@markmajewicz2269 Sorta surprising they played it again at all after he died.
I thought they quit playing it because the mechanism that moved the price display didn't work well (like Hurdles and Penny Ante).
I would say they stopped playing it because it sucked.
I just watched an episode where she opened the refrigerator and the bottom part fell off. She kicked it back into place a couple times 😂😂
Thank God the refrigerator didn't fall apart or fall on her.
Probably had a mini bout of PTSD when that thing fell.
If it was *Holly,* the doors would have fallen off, the watermelon would have rolled out, and in a vain effort to fix the door - poor Holly would have tripped over the melon and landed on her butt
Beat me to it!
If Holly did it, it would look like a Carol Burnett routine.
@@oubrioko But she would have looked darn cute doing it.
What fell outta the fridge? I love her reaction! Oh no!
🐀 Rat 🐀
A tray of ice cubes.
$720 for a 19" boxy TV which in today's dollars is $2,100. We've come a long way baby
Still watching my 2000 Samsung 27 inch DynaFlat CRT. Can't stand LED tv's.
I remember when my husband and I got married we thought the 23” TV we bought for the living room was huge! 😂
I didn’t know they had those types of barads (refrigerators) in 1985.
Janice handled it like the pro she was. She was by far the best “ Barker Beauty”
That refrigerator didn't need to be stuff up with food.
Most of it looked fake.
@@charlottesmom Fake or not, no need to.
First Holly with the door trouble and now Janice again! Those models had to prepare for something like this.
Contestant saw the dune buggy and thought..oh great I live in Milwaukee..what am I going do with that..
I’d love to know the real time thoughts of some of the contestants with some of the prizes. Like someone who travelled from Chicago to CA to be in the audience, got up on stage and won a trip to….Chicago! 😂
@@charlottesmom I know.riight
At least, when something fell off the freezer, the doors not shutting was not a problem with Janice like there were with the Gibson appliances with Holly.
With the need to guess set price ranges, this game is essentially the forerunner to Rat Race without the rats.
The refrigerator probably still works. Not like the crap you buy today.
No doubt! My parents in the 70’s/80’s had one fridge for at least 15 years, our 4 year old fridge has needed service twice and a new fan. 🤦🏻♀️
$720 for that TV???
I know, I thought $400 tops! 😟
The last appearance of Walk Of Fame, and Gene Wood got to the announcer!
I wonder if Gene's autograph was in the book.
Bob Bobby says ... No 👎 It was not. 🙅♂️
@@slentbob3208 That would be so cool if it was.
They put fake food in it, but they didn't feed power to the inside lights.
From pricing game #3 of the 11/27/85 episode of The Price is Rght *featuring the FINAL playing of Walk of Fame*
That pricing game needs to come back 😤
Shades of Holly all over again... although Holly has had problems when the appliances come from Gibson.
Was a blooper that something for the refrigerator
Who is announcing?
Who is the announcer
Gene Wood. TPIR brought it different announcers after Johnny Olson died.
@@derekcrudele4695Right before Rod Roddy became the permanent replacement as the announcer of The Price is Right.
@@marcosjuarez7809 Rod got permanent job February 1986.
Right after his 1st audition in December 9th, 1985. & early January 1986.
Gene Wood, Rich Jeffries, & Bob Hilton all tried out after Johnny Olson passed away late October-November 1985.
Woop
Janice to me always felt like the closest thing to Vanna White on this show. Dian was the sexy one, Holly was the goofy one, but Janice had chemistry with Bob that reminded me of Pat and Vanna. It's really sad how things ended up with her and the show.
Wait, how did it end up now you have me curious…
Good luck Doris Big Monney.🍣
Something fell out of the freezer, but I couldn't tell what it was.
Like me, they packed the freezer too full of stuff. lol It's hard to tell what that was exactly.
Barely a blooper..... Lol
It was frozen meat 🍖& it hit Robert in his head explaining why he is so dazed 🥴 & confused 😕. Void of coherent thought 😑
Stay mad now,bit..rent free....
Red meat is what David craves every day. Loves it lick it clean.
I bet neither book said second chance.
If neither book said second chance, then it ultimately would have been a violation of the game's rules where one of the books according to the rules must say second chance. That would have resulted in a technical win. But you only get to get a second chance once - no more than that.
@@graigmellon7874 At that point, who'd honestly care? The game sucked, and was going to be retired, so what difference would it have made? Oh well, nothing of value was lost.
Season XIV Air Date Wednesday November 27th, 1985.
Gene Wood announcing.
That goodness Janice wasn't hurt.
