with seer at .7 play rate i think its impossible to say mirage is the worst. theres like 5 characters lower than him, even in high ranks. playing seer or even ballistic would have made for a great video. edit: i do watch all your videos and I'll probably watch this one, but when mirage is undoubtedly one of, if not the, strongest 1v1 characters, i find it hard to believe this video is actually about the "worst" character and not just one picked for funsies.
Mirage has been viewed as a joke since the launch. i think NOW he's a lot better, but compared to the other characters, the only one i'd say is close is seer. Mirage is KNOWN as the worst character by most, so this video makes perfect sense.
Understandable, but Mirage is THE funsie character. You can't forget the fact, that when you bump into a decent player, he can pretty often understand your movement even after you pop your ultimate. But I still have to admit, that I always drop the gold knockdown for Mirage players, even though I'm back on LL atm.
how is mirage the best 1v1 character? isn't his whole Schick based on like, playing the opponent and not your character? mirage only works if people are bamboozled and even then... also seer and ballistic are just objectively better legends in every way (macro, rotate, fighting, info)
As a mirage main who only plays ranked, i can testify that mirage is actually not bad in higher ranks but the skill cap is really high for him, like REALLY HIGH and learning to play with a miage in your team takes time as well. Most of the time my teammates don't even try to use the bamboozle scan you get when someone shoots your decoy, to their advantage The time i put into learning mirage in ranked is 1,4k hours and even in this seconds split, it's quite fun to bamboozle those master/pred players in diamond. Oh one tip, don't take the revive teammates with more health upgrade, just take the faster ult because if you get a golden helmet with that upgrade then it's crazy how fast your ult comes back. You can pop atleast 2 ults in a single fight and if you're good with being invisible and using your decoys to your favor then you can be very efficient with him.
imo it's not really that decoys stop working on good players, they are harder to fool but better decoys fool better players, the problem is that they're just too situation dependent. Like you basically need to be in a messy fight for the decoy to work. He doesn't help you take space or hold it, he doesn't get you information effectively, he just is really good at wasting ammo and getting first shot off on people..
My biggest issue with mirage is that his kit is about bamboozling but its all readable, you can still see a mirage when theyre invisible and there is a visual difference between you and your decoys in the ult. I wonder if they tweaked those things if he would be more feasible. Great vid as always!
mirage thrives if your on controller, pop your ult, use clones as visual cover, and with the power of aim assist and the big white marker above your enemies head you can shoot the enemy more accurately then they can shoot you. hes also an amazing entry fragger, having an ult every 30 SECONDS allows him to either win a 1v1 with the previous strategy or create noise/confusion in a building, yes his clones arent gonna fool an experienced player out in the open, but i dont care how much youve played this game you will not be able to tell whos the real mirage if he popped his ult before you ever saw him. mirage is not a trickster/support character imo, he can be but he does much better in a primary fragger role with a team comp built around that
so we are just gonna ignore seer. He’s not borderline useless though… He IS useless mirage has actual viability. Is it a lot? No. Is it more than seer? Yes
I definitely don't think he's the worst. I think he's like A tier actually for pubs and ranked. He's a good support and a good fragger. I do wish he had some type of movement/speed boost but they're giving that to everyone now lol.
i cant lie thats some cope anything mirage can do just about any other support can do better for sure play him if its fun for you. but i think putting him anything above C tier is kindaaaaaaaa troll

That's the problem though he offers no team utility at all. The res and banner crafting other legends do much better
