It's been a long time since I played this one and I needed a little Refresher course. Carl you are always amazing! You never cease to open my eyes to something I didn't know before. Thank you so much you are the best!
Just want to say I’ve learned a ton from watching your videos. This is one of my favorite solos of all time and I never dreamed I’d be able to even attempt it. I worked on it for a few hours and am close to being able to get thru it smoothly. When I want to learn something new I click Carl Brown!
You are a great teacher with impeccable detail. Thank you, I have a reunion concert coming up this month and I am playing this song which I have not played in 15 years so naturally I needed a refresher course. You saved me so much time because I use to play this but after 15 years and 100 songs later you tend to forget those little details which counts the most.
Please more Skynyrd! What an incredible band that's much more than Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird. Awesome lesson as usual, would love to see more Southern rock lessons!
I learned this today (October 20th) to honor and remember the members who died in that tragic plane crash. There won't ever be another band like them... legendary group. Hope they are all resting in paradise 🙏
PERFECTION! Very well done. I thought I was playing this song correctly for decades LOL. Thanks man . I know this is an older video/lesson but truly appreciate it. Rock on 🤟.
So glad to find your channel you have been a blessing to me as far as learning your tutorial are fantastic and you are a great teacher i dont post much but. Had to say thank you
One of the best teachers, absolutly great. Don´t know if somebody yet had asked, but for me it would be very helpful if I can see which PU You are using at which part.
i know im asking randomly but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me!
@Scott Ryker Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
thanks for all the lessons man, I have a song that I've been trying to work on, I cannot get it completely. I need an expert transcriber especially the solo, this song reminded me of the walk down on the intro technique, I think many people would like this. I'D LOVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD (TEN YEARS AFTER). the lessons that are out there pretty weak. although the introduction is covered reasonably easy, thanks cheers keep it up, awesome
Yea. Marty just every now n then, accidentally names off a wrong string name n it throws me off lol. Like his lesson on this song he accidentally says to end on the open G string while on the G chord instead of the open D
Those pickups sound great for the Strat. They used to call them hot rails but what are they ? Definitely think their form is better than staggered pickups, but its all good.
Great lesson.. I always thought Allen Collins was one of the best of his era. So melodic!! Would love a lesson on their song I Know A Little. Steve Gaines killed it on this song.
Does the “picking toward the next string” go for pretty much every thing as a better habit than picking down? Or is this only with this arpeggio style?
Appreciate this lesson! Actually all your lessons are great. Would you mind sharing the model pickups you have on strat. Really like the versatility that you are getting that I don't have with the lace sensor pu's I have in there now.
Can you please do either the zoo by the scorpions or black magic women by santana. Your awesome thanks for all your hard work. I've learned alot from you your a awesome teacher.
Great lesson, Carl! Thanks for all the lessons! I'm really missing one of the classics; Disturbed - Stricken. Is that something we will se in the nearest future? ;-)
Hello! thanks for this great lesson. I am russian and i dont understand what are you talking, but i got enought . Can i ask you, what pickup do you use? Is it bridge?
Dunno why, but that might be my favorite overall guitar solo of all time. It's perfect.
Every Skynyrd song is perfect.
Phenominal. NO ONE captures the magic of Gary's playing off Allen's arpeggios. Awesome job.!
It's been a long time since I played this one and I needed a little Refresher course. Carl you are always amazing! You never cease to open my eyes to something I didn't know before. Thank you so much you are the best!
The expression on your face after playing through that solo is exactly how I felt. Like I was coming back to earth.
This song seems anything but simple, man
😂
I see what you did there 🤡
You’ll get the hang of it. 👍
Lmfoaoaoa

thanks for all the lessons man, I have a song that I've been trying to work on, I cannot get it completely. From Marty to Carl I’ve moved up in life
Yea. Marty just every now n then, accidentally names off a wrong string name n it throws me off lol.

I'm really missing one of the classics; Disturbed - Stricken. Is that something we will se in the nearest future? ;-)
Hi Carl, loved the lesson. Isn't there a Dsus4 in there, just on the very end of each verse? As a substitution for the G?
Hello! thanks for this great lesson. I am russian and i dont understand what are you talking, but i got enought . Can i ask you, what pickup do you use? Is it bridge?
