If the energy from the drama could be directed toward securing clean water, shelter, and food, they might be able to keep up with Shireen. I think by the end, they ended up working smarter rather than harder and had time, not for more drama, but for more camaraderie. Frustration, And irritation, Although both very annoying And uncomfortable, They're also both highly survivable! Just remember, "no man is an island to himself". I haven't seen any one of these people that could build their own fire, their own shelter, and catch their own food, purify their own water, and still avoid injury doing it all by themselves, AND Fast enough to keep up with needs, Which means (in effect) dying slowly. @@HubsAlgarveKnives I don't know either. Since I only met one man in person who planted them, and have looked online for information, I can't disprove you or prove that there's a different kind of pineapple, or anything. I tried to plant one, once, and it died, so...
they probably been trying to get their survivors to go to the island for years, hinting at some bounty in the woods, and these mfrs finally went and made a raft and did it
Best season I've seen hands down
How have these people got this far in life?
With the netting I would of made crayfish/crab pots
I don't know why nobody digs a moonpit at low tide to passively harvest seafood.
Crescent shape with the belly towards the sea and line with logs.
High tide its submerged then when the tide goes out you might have food waiting.
Shrieen in an absolute muppet
Ben now looks like one of the generals from the 300 movies, at least to me
45:45 is almost poetry
I'm sure the people on the island were thrilled for their time to have come to an end. But I personally hate to see this particular group or groups coming to an end. Didn't think their adventure to the other island would be as fruitful, literally, as it was. Glad they learned from the first attempt and pressed on. Well done to this entire group. So many proved me wrong in a good way. Looking forward to seeing how they got on with their lives after the show.
i would have signed up in a heartbeat if it would just be shireen and myself. the fact that she has no quit in her like me is also something i would want in a partner in a survival situation, and the fact that shes a very attractive doctor is nice too
Why are there production boats at 28:35 when they’re crossing to the island in the raft? I understand it’s a safety concern, but aren’t we led to believe they are all on their own until they call for safety?
I love it. a life changing experiences . I hope I can join this experience too. more power. please let me join next time..
how long did they go camping for? this is standard holiday for the aussies lol we do this weekly
im a little irritated that nobody has thought about the termites in terms of food. they are great protein. i am not that keen on eating bugs but if i was starving i could probably stomach it.
36:51 ah yes the fabled island banana that has a sticker on it…
I'm just watching this for the first time and I called it from the first episode that Shireen, as annoying as she is, is the one I'd pick to survive with. If the energy from the drama could be directed toward securing clean water, shelter, and food, they might be able to keep up with Shireen. I think by the end, they ended up working smarter rather than harder and had time, not for more drama, but for more camaraderie. It was sad to see Ben having to leave after passing such a milestone as accepting the other group and really coming out of his shell as one of the heroes.
Broke my heart hearing about him sleeping in the garage. I was in a 20 year relationship and one day we got in an argument i leave and come back to a empty house kids gone and police arresting me get out of jail to her with a new guy. Afrer a couple months she kicks my oldest daughter out so now we are wanting my youngest to come but she keeps using her for child support.
Sad
28:47 Oops! Someone forgot to edit out the boat in the background 😂😂
It's only t.v. what do ya expect... 😅
I had hope 😢
Makes you wander if they were there watching just for safety reasons, or they just took them there and faked all of it.
Exposed, they just throw pinneaples
That’s the safety team, and only steps in and in case of emergencies or medical crisis. I’m sure insurance wouldn’t let them proceed without them in place.
"We might get captured by rogue pirates, wonderful!" that smile says it all, someone has a kink.😛
Geeze Dr. Bossy! ! "If you don't help me catch this chicken, you don't get to eat any, And I'm serious!!" That's RUTHLESS,... And I'm serious!!
Then you're not cooking it over the community fire! And you're not drinking community water, And you're not sleeping in the community shelter, And I mean it...!
Whoever is around is part of the group. You don't have to like them, Or enjoy their company. You just have to survive.
People may be irritating or frustrating.
Remember, you're likeley very testy in a survival situation.
People have forgotten ...part of surviving is getting along , and working with others!
She seen is a class a human being go getter , if you had to be stuck on an island she will .and things happen!
I hope they make a new series and its longer than 5 weeks! I'd really enjoy a good solid 6 months experience. That would be really interesting.
It's also very dangerous, first few sessions a good bunch almost died most still dealing with body and health complications to this day, but I get what your saying tho I feel 5 weeks isn't enough cos to be real it takes about 3 weeks to find a rhythm when stranded, well by what I seen so far, 2 weeks to 3 weeks they algood and cruseing till the end
Theyd all die if it was 5 weeks 😂
@@tobyevans8823 only ones to actually thrive do far are from session 1 or 2 lol can't quite remember but it had like Dan autin and some old chick everyone hated lol they fuxking survived lol fish after fish, lizards and crocs they went without for like 2weeks then they thrived there survival instincts took over, I believe it's all about who you put together as in can they get along agree on stuff snd work together
6 months fuck that
Good luck finding someone to survive on an island for six months.
We are creatures of connection
they're given simple tools but no gogles.
Shareen is forgetting the men need the additional food. She is probably 5'2" maybe 110-120lbs. James is at least 6ft probably 190 -200lbs and Tan probably 5'10" and about the same due to broad build. They are not going to eat the same as her or the other women.
She did not pick on Barnes because he had killed the birds whilst on the hunt with her.
I didn’t like her she was really bossy, so this is very hard for me to say, but she was the one who pushed for the hunt. She was one of the people that did the work. She was entitled to have the same amount of food. She didn’t complain about the other guy that helped with the hunt.
@@ChristineP-qp6vn oh I agree on that, she was taking it seriously (which i think was good). I think the others were there for a holiday, whereas I think she knew (from experience) that getting the water, shelter and fire going were job no.1.
But that said; despite her good ability to survive; in a team your only as fast as the weakest member. You cannot think "share equally" when you have size difference like. But then I guess when you're that hungry and stressed out, its hard to think.
@@ChristineP-qp6vn they fail as a group because pushing for the hunt shouldn't have to be said, it should be an automatic job by now, not a desperate event. she's a good worker, but a poor leader, having to offset her absolutely toxic personality with results.
it's not about who 'earned' more food, it's simple biology -- men need more calories. moralizing over it is a bad path to go down.
Barnes is an absolute menace to those chickens the production crew drop off
Once they've eaten they just lay there and expect their next meal to appear in thin air. W😊😊😊
Human nature and why we have survived as a species.
These people were not part of a collective before this meeting but,, they still came together as a united group (eventually.)
to find fruits when you are starving must be heaven !
Forget about magic mushrooms, pigs and birds, all it takes is magic Pineapples, too turn people into human beings!!!
What kind of bird lets you just walk up to it and grab it by its tail feathers?
A domesticated one
Enjoyed this season. Much better casting
Surrounded by water. And catching no fish🤷♂️
BARNS...sounds like a good snack! 🤣 There is nothing what doesn't irritate me in this guy...
None of these people have survived...
I personally wouldn't have lasted from the sand fly bites alone. Being itchy would have driven me to over the edge and off the island after a few days.
that's the show I want to see
So….there was just a random plantation of perfectly ripe pineapple on that island..no other birds had got to it.. none where rotten..they looked like way to perfect..cmon pull the other one!!
25:54
A baby doll XD
Aww Big BEN gone..Hope he’s doing good in life overall now.
that’s my dad, he’s doing okay
@@loulizmaysisters that’s good to hear! You taking care of him?
I cant beleive they had fishing net and used it to make a raft and not fish with it. Holy shit. There was more protein swimming in the see than there is on dry ground and they could have been fed well for the entire time if they had learnt how to fish.
If have a chance i will join to this show..ti much food to this island rootcrop..and i saw coconut tree.
at 45:35 there is a house and looks like a dock for boats? This has to be a separate island
Wait pineapple the hole time...lol
The fellow that injured his head with the bandage strap around his head I didn't see him on the boat he was also very quiet the last days we didn't see him on camera .
Does anybody know what's inside those Little bags strapped around their shoulders and waist which they carried all the time with them .
Is it first aid for emergency and maybe a GPS incase they get lost deep in the jungle .
The bags strapped around their shoulders are microphones, in case someone gets lost the emergency team can act on it. It was mentioned in one for the previous seasons. The fellow with ear cut 45:21
they’re mics
From watching a previous season I know that they always have a mic on them even if there’s no camera. I never thought about a GPS, but that makes sense in case of emergencies and to satisfy any insurance company covering the show.
basically, every1 was f-ing useless, all this series proves is all here would slowly die of starvation.
Everyone goes to the beach because it's there only sign of comfort to normality home country. The reason why they don't find anything because there just lazy bums. There has to be order where there a set of people who hunt, constantly develop there shelter finding materials for there fire and wash there clothes, set that fishes and slowly develop a means for transportation via water. Them being separate just made it harder to handle everything which made them overwhelmed most the show
Instead of sitting in camp, they could go fishing, they had equipment.
What😂 the pig isn't wild oh boy😢
Guess nobody can climb trees on the Island
I love this stuff.
These poeple arent even losing weight?
I lost a shitt ton of weight when i ran out of food for week and was homeless. These people have been here for much longer and still look the same as day 1.
Wow that was a really tuff time for them but I think the richer people survive the best ❤
How to apply to be in this show ,I wud really love to test my skills
Do you have the following qualities
Lazy
Stupid
Egocentric
Narcarcist
BDP
Schitzoid
Fat
Shallow
vapid
Arrogant
Schemer
If not please do not apply.
Weigh the fishing net down with coconuts, climb tree, drop net on prey and retrieve
how they charge those cameras if left alone?
I wish we would have seen more of James.
This show makes me understand how people ship wrecked people become cannibals. Solves 2 problems. Food and annoying people.
You have a net covering the raft. Use it to catch fish.
16:20 so they got oil??? only the most calorie dense thing there is... i thought they didnt get any food at the start...
She said "or" not oil. The show is rigged though
Hilarious lol
shoulda just stayed as one group all along they woulda got to the other island a long time ago lol
I wish they would stop getting peole who are so, you know... useless in this particular situation.
I could have a lasagne!!
Awww man.. that's like one of my top 3 foods 🤤
Next thing they will find a stranded Tesco shopping cart. What a BS.
