@@DevonReviewer Hi, never saw your reply at the time. I bought another pair of Momotaro jeans, already had the 13.7 oz so went for a 15.7oz pair. Actually been on a bit of a shopping binge recently, got quite a few nice items from Benzak, and couple more things from Rivet and Hide.
I have to claim it. That flannel from IH that you have on is one of the best fitting I’ve ever owned. I’m. 3xl. Seams big but fits perfect. Will check out that denim jacket too. Fantastic channel. Really helps.

had a raw denim jacket (Lee type B) for nearly a couple of years, 2 washes now.. takes ages and ages to get that light blue fade on a jacket because it gets less wear than your jeans.
As Tanuki denim is unsanforized, did you end up giving it an initial soak out of the box, or did you end up wearing it as is? I managed to find one on my local marketplace and can't wait to pick it up, but it will be my first piece of unsanforized denim
Excellent video review! I've been eyeing this jacket for quite some time. I have their IDJKT3 15oz "IDxID" 3rd Type Jacket, and I love it! I might have to pull the trigger on this one. I really like the beige interior. Do you think it would eventually show on the outside?
I wouldn’t recommend buying from Tanuki direct from the website. I contacted them to organise a return and they initially agreed to create a returns label to help. Then they ignited my emails. I ended up posting back at great expense. Very expensive lesson learned. They did offer a ‘gift’ on my next purchase. Hopefully they will refund the cost of the items minus the postage promptly.
been thinking of grabbing one of these since your first video! any recommendations for shops to buy from? also I'm about 6'4 slim, thinking of a medium- any tips on sizing?
I think these are only available from Tanuki direct... they sort out tax and shipping so easy to deal with... in terms of size, the chest measurement is key I think and it fits true to size, also as a tall guy you need to look at length and arms, might be worth going up a size to ensure you dont have your wrists popping out? have a look at their sizing charts and see what fits best.

Love those angular cowboy style pockets. I've got a 70s leather jacket with them.

Layering denim jacket as inner jacket gives really interesting fades. Im doing it for years. Your jacket looks great!

Is this jacket identical to their 16.5 oz red cast jacket aside from the denim used? (Cut, design, etc.)

Only a little, it looks like the core of the indigo warp is white and that is what will show through with wear on the outside I think
