You need to see the version that has the English translation. They are playing traditional Mongol instruments and doing throat singing doing 2 notes at a time
This band really exhibits the power of the internet. Before the global reach they have now, this band would either be a regional band, or have some short term success as a novelty if they ever hit the US at all. It really makes me wonder what great material we missed out on because bands couldn't break into the US market without singing in English.
I was first introduced to Throat Singing from the country of Tuva many years ago. The singers can modulate up to 3 tones at the same time as I'm sure these folks can. This is an interesting song but I prefer 'classic' throat singing to this though it is a interesting number. Check out some more throat singers. Women also sing in this manner.
Hey neighbor! Are you talking about the show at Southside Ballroom? I was at that one, right up front. It was amazing. I feel lucky to have seen them in such a small venue. I loved that the only English words spoken were "next song! ". Have a great day!
Much love from South Africa🥰 I'm a huge fan of The Hu❤ Thank you for your great reaction! Treat yourself to Mother Nature feat LP. Its beautiful and while you at it maybe react to LP's Lost on You as well😍🥰
People are always hesitant to embrace new sounds. I can remember when the Talking Heads first came out and I was the only person in my group of friends who was listening to them. I remember a couple of my friends said those guys would never make it. LOL
Great reaction guy! Here’s some stuff I’ve read. Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country. 30% of the people are nomadic. They have never been conquered. Genghis Kahn and company took over more contiguous territory than anyone. If you joined them their reputation protected you. If not, you died. The president of Mongolia was one of the bikers. Having my weekly vodka and green tea now. Cheers! 😊
Oh Dear GOD It's Ivan The Terribles Folks Metal Band Warfare Situational Attribution Awareness Of Rules For Engagement Rebellion Original Thought 💭🤔💭 I'm In 10 Toes.
Check out the lyrics and also listen to Sad but true, there eloge to Metallica. Its better than the original, and I am a 67 year old Metallica fan. Not violin, Horsfiddle.😀🥰😎
.....Really ? 4 or 5 guys who can play one note and grunt and this is considered talent. I guess we can all be musicians in about 5 minutes now. Playing the spoons is harder to learn.
Yaaaay! Now Harri, check out "Yuve Yuve Yu", (119 million views!) their first hit that brought them to the attention of the world.

Basically a "don't f**k with us or we'll kill you" tune...I love it..........
The Hu! They are amazing!
The Hu are one of my favorite bands. Their videos are like movies, with awesome production.
A good friend turned me on to these guys several years ago, and they're always fun to listen to.
Thanks Harri. 👍
Not many react to The Hu. Thanks for this 🎵🎶💚

I'd *love* to hear more of this. :D What a great sound!
The words really spoke to me - unfortunately I didn't know what they were saying 🤣🤣🤣
If you watch the official video and turn on closed captioning, you'll get an English translation. 😊
Lol
I seen them in concert here in Dallas, Texas 2 years ago. It was awesome, hope you listen to more of their music.

I'm not real familiar with it, only have heard it a few times, but it sure sounds like 'Throat Singing'! Great selection, thanks Harri!
Definitely is throat singing
I've known about these guys for a while. They are awesome. I would definitely want them on my side in any battle. LOL
👍👍👍
The lyrics with this one would offer something more. They are an incredible band that is amazing. Their creations are their own. Thank you!
They are the Beatles of Mongolia ...
I have seen them twice in Stockholm. They are even better live.🤩😎😎
Now you MUST react to The HU SONG OF WOMEN feat. Lizzy Hale. So beautiful and powerful.
Still my favorite of the band's collaborations. It's fantastic!

🖤🖤🖤 I love "Black Thunder" featuring Serj Tankian and the version of this song ("Wolf Totem") featuring Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach.
Interesting and very cool. Thanks Harri and Rob 🌺✌️
Wow very interesting and unique sound. Thank you Rob and Harri.
Impressive.
That's something interesting!!
Try listening to it with the close captioning on. The words are incredible!
Like a dark Macarena😂
❤❤❤❤❤
Very cool sound! I love hearing other culture's music, given the western world's "popular" music has been uninteresting for a couple of decades now.
The Hu is the best.❤❤❤
They also did a version of this in English with Papa Roach. So good.
I fell in love with this when I first heard it and was so excited to share it on f/book with my friends and family - not one comment! lol - no taste
Well, that's unfortunate. Hope it didn't deter you from exploring more of their catalog. Their first album included some amazingly beautiful songs!

I loved it when I first saw it. It's been a while.

You must hear Song of Woomen, from Hu with Lzzy Hale!
THROAT SINGING. AMAZING
Check out the version with Jacoby Shaddix
If you like this song, then give a listen to the HU song Black Thunder!!
It has a Samoan Haka feel to it
Oh Dear GOD It's Ivan The Terribles Folks Metal Band Warfare Situational Attribution Awareness Of Rules For Engagement Rebellion Original Thought 💭🤔💭 I'm In 10 Toes.
Do yourself and the rest of us a favor and please react the HU Nature song and the Woman song.
I don't know whatvI just watched. Strange

A song celebrating Genghis Khan. Huh. I think a song celebrating Hitler wouldn’t be quite so popular. Why is that?
