Thanks heaps - it's a great song and I guess I believe what he says. I think it's being invested in a song and not just singing it that makes the difference. All the best - really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks heaps Alex - I think if there's power there it comes from believing what you're singing (and maybe the 10,000 hours of playing has something to do with it too...). All the best. :)
@@risboturbide9396 I'm not sure I know Dark Eyes, I'll check it out. I've done Don't Think Twice It's Alright - here it is. ruclips.net/video/qtr5iWPF1b8/видео.html I've also done Tomorrow Is A Long Time, and Dead Man (also from Shot Of Love). Not sure if I've done others of his on here - I have about 20 Dylan songs in my setlist.
Thanx heaps, really glad you like it. Such a great song - one of Dylan's under-appreciated masterpieces, and it says a lot of what I'd like to say so it's not too hard to enter into the feeling of it.
Thanks heaps - that's really nice of you to subscribe too, appreciate it. This is possibly my favourite Bob song ever, and thee are a lot of good ones to choose from.
Thank you David - I think what it is is that I only sing a song if I can get inside it. If it doesn't mean enough to me the conviction is missing, and that's what people feel in the end, whether we're conscious of it or not.
Thx - yes recognized the Gibson as a 70s model. Guess you've been following each other a long time. A good broken in square squire. Assume it's not (after)scalloped - single or double X ?
@@Ziraffe2 actually I don't know much about the construction of guitars at all - I just know ones I like to play and ones that don't do it for me. :) This one's had a hard life, as you can see. Been in a flood, had the headstock broken off twice (in different places), been all around the world, used in everything from street busking to stadium concerts. Has a Fishman Thinline pickup (same thing as a Martin Gold Plus) in it which still sounds good. It's definitely not perfect - none of them are - but over the years it's shaped my style and has mellowed nicely.
Okay - maybe it's supposed to stay that way - just let the ol' guitar keep its innersides'n'things secret. Else it's pretty easy to sink a tiny bird-mirror though the hole. May you run long.
@@Ziraffe2 I had some work done on it decades ago where the luthier thinned the ends of the braces nearest the outside, which apparently helps the bottom end sound. If you're really interested in all that inside the guitar stuff I think it's probably on the Gibson website if you put in '1970 J45'. May you run long too.
Thanks Allan - I try to get inside a song when I play it. What the lyrics say are just as important as the musicality. If I can't 'feel' a song and agree with what it's saying I drop it.
Love it!
Thanx Matt.
Great version. Enjoyed vert much. Shine on x
Thanks heaps for stopping by to listen.
btilliant.. best version on YT by far..
Gee thanks heaps, that's a marvellous thing to hear. It's possibly my very favourite Bob song, so nice to know that I'm doing it justice.

Fantastic music and performance Mark!
Thanks Steve - it's one of my favourite Dylan songs (and I like a lot of them) so I'm really glad I was able to pull it off.
Loved this, even more than the originals I’ve heard, thanks for sharing. There’s power to be found in a voice beyond volume, and you have it 💪🏽

Gracias amigo.
L'usure de l'âge à laquelle nul ne saurait échapper, la fragilité, nous rendent Bob Dylan encore plus précieux .
Merci beaucoup Annie. :)

Very fine performance 'n' sound ^ if it's not a secret maybe you should tell a little about the guitar and choice of strings.
Best Thoughts
Hi there, glad you're liking the songs. The guitar is a 1970 Gibson J45 and the strings are Elixer 13-56 gauge, that's Medium.
