Firestar felt the pain of his old life being stripped away so that he could then have 9 new ones. I imagine that in his life for love (given to him by Spottedleaf), that life made him love Sandstorm instead of Spottedleaf.

I have changed my firestar/rusty design but first off don't judge how others view characters also it was throat fur not FLUFFY not a big deal to need to comment over it

Both. Yellowfang was the medicine cat before Cinderpelt, and after Yellowfang passed in the fire of the forest, Cinderpelt became the next med cat.
