Very surprised girls. This is just beautiful. I love this song. Have listened to it since it came out around 1960. I am 69 now, getting old! When I hear this song it always touches my heart. The lyrics are powerful yet poetic. I just listened to the original recording of this when the Every Brothers first released it. Their original is much better than their Albert Hall rendition. This is certainly one of my all time favorites. This brings back so many heart felt memories. Maybe I loved too deeply. But I married the girl of my dreams 51 years ago and we are still sweet hearts and best friends. It's ironic because my wife broke my heart when she broke up with me when I was still 15 years old. I was devastated but never quit pursuing her. We got back together 18 months later and married at 18 years old. What a great love we have shared. I can certainly say that GOD answered my prayers because there could never be another like the sweetheart I married.
Toni exemplifies the phrase, "Never missed a beat." There's your proof! She never misses a note for that matter!

I'm old enough to have loved the Everly Brothers harmony.
I was a HUGE Everly Brothers fan when they first started out. My brother and I self taught on guitar so we could sing their songs and harmonize just like Don & Phill. I actually got to see them perform at one of their last live concerts. I am SURE they would be PROUD of how you keep their memories and music alive.

Pure magic. If I where in the room while they where doing this, I think I'd lose my mind.
I'm not a singer, but many years ago I wrote some songs, and when I sang them I noticed that my voice sounded better if I opened my throat, like at the back of my mouth, as you would if you were swallowing a golf ball. Not a singer, so that's the best I can do by way of explanation. If for even one note I would break out of this, my voice would sound bad. Okay,, so that's the setup for saying that Elle, in all the performances I've watched on RUclips, including this one that was mostly falsetto, has never lost control of her tone. So impressive !

Are you kidding me. Play the Guitar, bass drum, Sing and oh ya pick up a drumstick and play the beat while playing the guitar. Did I mention you have to sing harmony with another person while to doing that? Crazy talented. Makes me feel like a slacker for just playing rhythm guitar and singing my myself let alone as backup trying to keep in time with another person. Amazing.
Every time I watch and listen to these (2) beautiful women make their music..... I fall in love again. LOL I'm a sucker, I know.... but these young ladies are mesmerizing. As always, just lovely, lovely music.

My parents had the Reunion Concert (recorded from live performance) at the Royal Albert Hall Live album. I'd already spent the first 11 years of my life listening to Beatles on vinyl. I instantly understood that the harmonies and songwriting skill of the Everly Brothers were so integral to the early Beatles development.

Boudleaux Bryant, who wrote 'Love Hurts', was from my mom's hometown of Shellman Georgia. She says she remembers his father bringing him in the drug store and putting him up on the counter to play violin for the customers. He even played for the Atlanta orchestra before moving to Nashville to write music.

OK you two, now you're just showing of. And what better way to show of than by multitasking.
Toni plays a bass guitar ( the mellow tones btw have seeped into my soul, again), and sings and then half way through she picks up a drum stick, and while continuing to strum the guitar hits a drum head. And did I see the drum head being used as a drink table for your can?
Reina sings and shakes the rattle and then joins in the keyboard halfway through. Oh, and who is drumming the big drum? Raina I guess because her leg is moving while Toni's knees are still. Clever.
And Reina, when you high the low notes near the end, it was beautiful.

Lovely interpretation. Toni , with her Telstar tremeloes of understatement . If I had the Dosh I'd buy Toni an electric acoustic with two necks , one neck for bass. Hope Rienna is ok she's forgotten her guitar.
I do really love how you get a song......and do what you want. It really works . Toni ,wandering to the lower strings. She's a dark horse , resisting the urge to take us all to trouble funk when she plays lower frequencies.
