    Imagine the cup is made of titanium or something very strong. Now if you repeat this experiment and take it all the way to the bottom of the ocean - say Mariana trench where water pressure is over 1000 times surface pressure, what would happen? Will the air pressure inside the can be able to hold water back? Assume the contraption is stable (doesn't tilt and has enough thrust to take it to the bottom)

    This is how we stay dry under the firmament and keep the ocean at a given level. Some gravity questions explained.

    So does that means that air occupies space of the cup or air takes shape of the cup?

  • @CandidoMendez

    Interesting... Does it have to be submerged for 5 seconds?

    • @lemonboiyoutube
      @lemonboiyoutube 4 года назад

      No, but if air bubbles come out, the experiment won't work. that's because there will no longer be air to keep the paper dry.
      It also won't work if the water is really hot if the water is steaming, the steam will make the paper wet as well.

    If the earth was flat thats how I’d imagine the dome. As above so below. So if you go into the ocean and go far enough you can exit the dome. Outer space is water... 🤷🏼‍♂️ fuck if i know
