I like how you used the pool noodles when planting and to hang up the broom and mop. I used a pool noodle and cut slits in them to hang my husband's fishing poles.
Love the idea to protect the side of the cabinet.👌
When I need a noodle in a more natural color (like for your trash can bumper) I go to the plumbing section of any hardware store. They sell brown , tan and black "noodles" (actually pipe insulation) that work out great. Also, they come in 1-2 inch diameter, so there tends to be less shaving down. This is also a good tip when you are looking for noodles in the winter. Thanks for all of your excellent videos and tips!
jaystrees thanks for the tip!
👏👏👏amazing
I really like the broom/mop/cleaning tool holder idea! I think I may try that one!
They’re also great to fill in gaps between the tops of furniture (like dressers and desks) and the wall to prevent things from falling behind the furniture. Use whole or cut in half lengthwise, depending on the size of the gap.
O M G. Thank you for this idea! I am constantly losing things behind my dresser. It has to be pulled out a bit to fit power cords, but this is perfect to prevent the loss of items!!!
this is a great idea - thanks!
Rebecca Hazen - you’re a genius Rebecca! Thank you! I’m gonna be doing this!
Thank you for this! Fabulous! Did you cut it in half & secure to the wall?
Omg the noodle idea for the mop is genius!!!
My favorite is the planter filler and the wreath. I will be trying them both. Great ideas tfs
bubbles 26 omg using them as planter filler is such a great idea! it's my favorite tip too
@Hailey I assume there would be a hole in the pot no matter what you use.
My two hacks: I live in an old house with hard wood floors and some of our interior doors have gaps at the bottom that allow dust to travel inside the closets. I cut a slit in the noodle and slip it over the bottom of the door. Second, I lived in a house with a shower/tub combo with glass doors, the metal track was painful to lean over when giving my kids a bath so I cut a slit in the noodle lengthwise (and cut it to fit the width of the exposed track) and would slip it over the track during bath time. Love your hacks!
My pool noodle hack is for limited use but add them to crutches for more comfort on your arm pits.
Kat hie I wish I would have known this after my knee surgery!
Kat hie We've used this tip several times and it is a great tip. We have also secured the foam to the hand grip portion of the crutches to reduce blisters. Just make sure to secure the foam tightly, so it won't slip around on you.
Used them on my walker handles after surgery....matching tennis balls on the bottom of walker... Just secure really well!
I love the broom and mop holder idea and also Rebecca Hazen's idea to fill in the gaps behind dressers and furniture where items tend to fall.
We used orange pool noodles and black electrical tape to make Lorax trees for a Dr. Suess baby shower. The tops were made with tissue paper flowers. They were a hit and we had so many compliments from our guests.
I used pool noodles to replace the thin foam on our trampoline safety net poles. That way, when the kids accidentally tumble towards the poles, there is lots of padding. When my son was still rolling out of bed, we put a large pool noodle under his sheet on the edge of the bed. It worked great.
Trampoline..i would never have thought if that...thank you😊
Same here. My girls have long hair, I was afraid they'd scalp themselves.. 😳
i guess im asking randomly but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Niko Creed Instablaster =)
@Eduardo Payton thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I used pool noodles last year to make giant lollipops for the christmas display in my front yard 🍭🍭🍭🍭
Love the broom organizer. I must make one for my cleaning closet
I use three Dollar Tree pool noodles and 1/2 inch PVC pipe when quilting. I have the hardware store cut the pipe to a bit longer than the noodle, then slip the pipe inside the noodle (it fits snugly). This makes the noodle straight. Then I can lay the backing wrong side up on a table, place a noodle on top at the top of the fabric and pin the top edge to the noodle with T-pins, and roll the fabric onto the noodle. Likewise the batting, but securing with masking or painter's tape if the T-pins don't hold it well. Then do the same with the quilt top face up. You can then unroll some of the backing on the table, place the batting on top and unroll some of it, then place the quilt top roll on top and unroll some of it. You can then baste your quilt sandwich together a section at a time on a table without crawling on the floor, using very inexpensive tools.
This is a great idea!
Genius! With your permission, I screen shot this and added it to my quilting tips in my files.
Could you do a video of your quilting idea using poodle noodles and sent it to me?
The broom idea is FABULOUS! When I say the ring for your wreath-as a sewer w/dogs I thought OH great idea, make a dog bed! I am going to try doing that. We use noodles everywhere. My husband built his canoe rack and covered all the rails w/noodles to protect his canoes.
Oh I LOVE the obstacle course at the end😍😍😍
My daughter is getting married and we have tents out side. We bought colored pool noodles to match her wedding colors and they will be placed around the bottom of the tents where the tent stakes and lines are so no one trips. Esp after a drink or two those tents can become dangerous. My husbands idea :)
I Love your videos. They keep me inspired to organize. ❤
That's a really smart idea!
I’m having a flashback to a bbq where I tripped in a tent stake and string at night and cut my foot sooo bad, I had to leave and get medical help! 😬
Love your ideas Kathryn.
My Favorite Use: Cut a pool noodlein half, to the length you desire, and fasten it along the garage wall at the height where your car doors open. It saves my finished garage walls from grandchildren swinging open a car door when I park a little too close to the wall for a full open door.
cut it to preferred size, cover with fabric, I like velvet, and put your bracelets and wrist cuffs on it!
genius!
Vlrissolo Omg!!! Totally doing that but think I will also purchase some dowels/wood block, make a couple lengths to form necklace/bracelet rack! Wanted one from TJ Maxx but didnt like the price. Perfect solution!
Vlrissolo cut it to two sizes and put them inside fabric for the front/ back of a 🚪 to weatherproof your home. Just straddle the door between the 2 covered noodles, then you don’t need towels on the floors to insulate them.
I use pool noodles on the bars of a baby gate to keep my 3-pound Chihuahua from escaping.
I will definitely use them now on my clothes hangers to keep pants from creasing.
Thanks great tips
Emma Landry for some reason the visual of your 3 lb chihuahua trying to escape is kind of making my morning 😂😂🙌
Definitely going to try the mop and broom holder. 💜
Mine is for holding a hand of cards for a toddler, like when playing "Go Fish". Cut a small section, slice in half so the back lays flat and cut a slit in the top.
Ive been doing the pool noodle/boot truck for a few years. It’s brilliant!
Cutting one up & putting it in a planter sounds perfect. It’ll make the pot much lighter, too.
I love how you son helps in the videos he is so cute. Your videos are great .
I'm definitely going to try hanging up the brooms in them. I would have never thought to do that! Thank you!!
I may use the hack for storing broom/mop in my laundry room. The pool noodle in boots is a classic - love it! My fav is probably the wreath one. I'm a wreath junkie and that one looked easy, pretty and cheap - right up my alley!
I like the idea about the brooms and mops. I hope you and your family have a truly blessed and safe day.
Carson is so cute and poised! Very good tips!
Favorites are the cleaning utensil storage and the wreath, really loved them all. Be blessed
Awesome idea on how to store the broom and mop! I'm going out today to get a noodle!
Love your hacks. I have a couple of those pool chairs too - so nice! My favorite is pool noodles behind the feet of the sectional sofa so it doesn’t push up against my curtains. It stays just a few inches from the wall and I’m not constantly adjusting it. I’ll have to try the plant hack - love that!
My headboard was hitting the wall when getting in and out. I cut noodles to size and glued to back of headboard. It was a cheap headboard or I wouldn’t have glued. In my garage my car door was hitting the metal support every time I got out unless I was EXTREMELY careful. I cut a noodle and wrapped around support at appropriate height. I don’t have to painstakingly get out of my car and my door is car door is protected. Thanks for the content.
Meredith Simpson more great tips! Tfs!
Kathryn you are an amazing presence. Your personality makes me smile. You are also an incredible mom to Carson and Owen. Enjoy the rest of your summer ! Sylvia
Here is another tip for pool noodles. when filling up the pool with water hose, (bigger above ground pools), feed a water hose through the noodle where it is on the end of the hose. Now you can lay your hose in to fill up and it wont keep popping out of the pool. you can walk away and do some other things like skim the pool and you wont have to keep going back and trying to make the hose stay in.
Storage for brooms and mops. I also make quilts and find that I can not get them finished quickly so I roll them one on the next onto a noodle and they remain increased until I can get them finished and washed. Your ideas are good.
Oh I am for sure using the planter idea as well as the wreath ! Thanks!
I love the cleaning supply holder, and the plant filler idea! So awesome!
My favorite pool noodle hacks is using the pool noodle like a huge straw for filling up your mop bucket. Also cut little pieces to wrap around the wheels on your bed frame so no more bumping toes.. ouch!
for filling a bucket I take a big plastic bottle (without a cap) and cut a hole on the bottom. the hole goes on the faucet, and water pours in the bucket.
Ch B thats a great idea. I use the poole noodle so my mop bucket can always remain on the floor.. I only have like 30% use in my left arm and a heavy mop bucket is impossible for me.
with my "method" the bucket stays on the floor too. the bottle redirects the water flow outside the sink, it's like a little waterfall.
I mean pool noodles must be even more convinient. I just don't happen to have one, but I already had an empty plastic bottle, so why not reuse it.
Ch B thats cool. thanks. I wanna try that. I have plenty of pool noodles in my craft room that I use for everything but there's nothing like learning a new hack.. thanks!
Pool noodles are good for adjusting the way a carseat sets also. The firefighters told us to use that when they checked out our carseat with our first child. I think the wreath was really cool. I think you could do something similar turning it into a heart for Valentine's Day, maybe.
Love the idea for the potted plants! That's a new one I haven't seen yet! And the broom one!
Thank you for helping me look forward to trying these useful ways of using the pool noodles. You have always been an encouraging help in organizing and simplifying. I pray all is well with your husband. Thank u 4 ur thoughtfulness.
Great 👍🏻 ideas! Your going to have to put ur son on the payroll 😊. He’s such a good helper in ur videos! Thanks for sharing!
Sandra Samia-Sabahia I can imagine her being a former teacher probably has it covered. Lol 🤗
The cord holder, broom holder, & wreath, in a couple of months will get noodles now but project will have to wait. Will post pictures when I can. Thank you for som of the new ideas. Your family is wonderful. Have a great day Carson.
Using the one for broom/mop storage in closet! #lifechanging ty❤️
Love the broom holder, around hangers and the tip to stand boots straight up
These were great, practical uses. I'll be repotting a plant this week. Perfect timing! 🌱😍
My fave pool noodle hack has to be the broom closet one! How simple is that?!? And how helpful that will be in my broom closet. Yay! TFS 💚☘️🍏📗✅
Thank you Kathryn, I love it for a broom holder
Hanging the mops and broom with pool noodles! Brilliant. I m so doing this
Another pool noodle tip that I've heard but haven't tried is to put under a fitted sheet to keep toddler from falling out of bed
R M great ideas 😉
This definitely works!
We used to Bring them on trips to use in hotels when my son was smaller (too big for pack and play but still might fall out.
The hack with the pool noodle being converted into a broom/mop holder woke me up this morning faster than my coffee did, woman! MIND BLOWN! I have a small apartment and a curious cat that enjoys gnawing on broom bristles, and this will work perfectly!
I think I will give the wreath a try. I love it. Great ideas
Pool noodles inside boots!!! Revolutionary!! LOVE THIS IDEA
Who knew you could do so much with pool noodles?! Leave it to Kathryn to figure it out! 😊❤️
Your kiddo is such a cute little helper!! Great ideas too!
Great ideas it's hard to say which one is my favorite I like them all thank you for the tips
That broom/mop rack hack! And putting it at the bottom of the plant. And I love the wreath.
I was at my older cousins house recently and she had pool noodles attached to the edges of her coffee table. Not the most appealing decorating, but they kept her toddler from running into the table and hitting her head. My friends attached pool noodle pieces to the springs all around the trampoline to avoid pinched fingers.
Brilliant as always. I love the broom keeper and the plant soil saver and cord keeper. Love it
My mom went to dollar tree without me yesterday! I love all your tips and trick, and I use them all the time!
Love the hint for organizing brooms, mops in utility closet.
I wrap the noodle around the wooden shelf legs in my garage so that when I park a bit too close, and open my car door, it won’t bang into the shelves. Not that I do that when I’m but.....
Organizing cables/cords is my favorite hack! I have so many of those. I also need to find one to use as a draft/gap guard for the bottom of some room doors.
When our bath tub faucet quit, my kids used a pool noodle to fill the tub from the sink faucet. The water flowed right through the center if the noodle!
My fav is the holders for mops, brooms, etc. 💜💚
Mop/broom holder i will try very soon,thanks!👍
YariGlows215 same!
For the planters, loved that idea & the play course too! 💡
Great hacks, can you do more of these hack videos 😊👍
I love the idea of putting them in your planter and, making wreaths
Love your videos! They are always so creative and inspiring! And love that you’re wearing your 20 cents shirt from the Good Will!
I like the ideas of wreath, filling pot to save on soil, & broom/mop holder. Thank you!
Pool noodles also can cover outside pipes
This ideas are genius! And I love that your videos are short and concise! Thank you!
We just used dollar store pool noodles to protect our knees and toes from the corners of our metal bed frame
rukiaans91 oh, I needed this idea. Thank you!
this tip makes me happy and sad. Happy because it's a great tip. Sad because I've been killing my toes and shins on my bed frames for years and it never occurred to me to use such a simple fix 😂
How do you attach them? Do they make it hard to walk? Do you put them on again as soon as you get out of the shower, or only at bedtime and then leave them off all day? 🤔
and after bruising the inside of my ankle bone, this idea is great, thanks!
Melissa T. Thank you for this tip I always hurt myself on the bed.
I love the pool noodle seat (an excellent idea!). And it works.
You need to check out auntie coo coo's Christmas diy with pool noodles. She might made giant lollipops for her yard at Christmas. They are adorable!
My favorites were mop & broom holder. Also potting plants.....cool ideas...thank you.
I saw a bunch of ideas on pinterest on how to make backyard games like you showed at the end!! So fun!
Love them all.. the wreath was awesome
What I really love about your videos is that they are never too long. I hate it when some youtubers make hack video and talk 3 minutes at the start, dann 5 minutes for every hack and so on. You short but quality fully video were the reason why I subscribed to your channel.
Sadly I live in Europe, exactly in Austria and we don't have so much "on the budget" stores, but I use many of your hack to live on a budget and save some extra money. I really love your channel ❤️
That's using your noodle
Lue David best comment. Hands down 😂😂🙌
😂😂😂😂😂
Noodle, use your noodle. Noodle, do the noodle dance 💃🏼
😅😅😅😅😅😄😄😄😂
Wreath. I made lollipops of pool noodles
Great ideas Kathryn! My favorites were the trash can bumper (you can spray paint a color to match your cabinets) , the little fingers door bumper, the mop/broom organizer, the wreath (I better stock up for those) and the cute little obstacle course you made for your son (what kid wouldn’t love that!!!)
Please keep this awesome ideas coming!
If you don't have a sprinkler.......I've taken a noodle poke random holes in it. Attach the noodle to a hose. And tape off the other end. Voila, you got a cheap sprinkler for kids to enjoy.
ds southern smart one!
Lisa B thanks.
Good lord that’s an awesome hack!!!!
@@susimar it sounds cool. But, it didn't work very good. I put a special kind of water tape at the other end. But the sprinkler wasn't very high.
Love the utility closet hack. As for the cords I have used empty toilet paper rollwrs to coral them for years. If its on something that will be out in open I cover with contact paper. We too bought the chair and are loving. Thanks. A joy as always. Cant wait to see why you show us next. My granddaughters are fascinated with your organizing videos.
Wow great hacks never tough pool noodles were so helpful!!
I recently picked up a ton of pool noodles they had at Dollar General for pool noodle hacks on line. You can also use them for floral diy's instead of spending money on foam.
💕 I just love your creative helpful Ideas 💕 Especially the mop and broom one CLEVER!
Thank You so much for sharing 🌹
Kaye Ream thanks for watching! Have an amazing weekend!
I want that Poole noodle seat! We hang out on lake Cumberland almost every weekend in the summer and sometimes it’s nice to bring something new to the enjoy! What a cool idea.
Haha, my father uses cut up pool noodles for neck support while see sleeps in addition to a pillow.
I really like the back for the broom and mop! Definitely going to try it.
Love the wreath!
The wreath is my favorite. So much cheaper then the wreath forms from big craft stores. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for sharing ☺
I've been waiting for this video and you didnt disappoint Kathryn! Thanks so much
🙏💞💕💕💕💞👍
Hi, Kathryn. Thank you soooo much for this video. I am so excited to try all of them, but the holder for mops or brooms right now is my favorite because I have been looking for a solution to getting them off of the floor.
I never would have thought to use a noodle to make a wreath. That's just genius! Great tips! My mom actually recommended your channel to me =) She's the RUclips guru lol. I can't wait to watch more!
I love the idea of putting a pool noodle on your hangers so you don’t get creases in your pants. Who would of thought they could be used for so many things!
I use them on doors that have space on the bottom i.e. screen door. Keeps a tight seal
They're all fabulous 👍👍👍
Hey Kathryn! I’m definitely going to use the pool noodle cut up for the bottom of my plants as I repot my houseplants next week. Love that idea! Using the noodles in boots is also so much more convenient than using magazines. It just makes sense. We’re visiting Charlotte this week so I’m on the hunt for your huge DT!! Thanks for sharing. ~HUGS~
#kindnessmatters
Liked all...favorites are utility hangar for brooms and the gorgeous wreath. You are such a sweet person always caring that other people have a better life . I love you because you are genuine! Have a lovely day.
