Joey’s voice is stronger here than earlier performances, at least to my ear. Love to see the boys still at it! They were a big part of my teenage years. Thanks for doing this. I really appreciated seeing them.

Cool, haven't seen a live Anthrax video in ages. One of my favorite songs of theirs 🤘🤘... Yeah, huge pit, I've been in many and always came out missing pieces of clothing and beaten up. But its an amazing feeling 💯

I remember seeing them on the last night of their European State of Euphoria tour in '88 supported by Testament. They were supposed to finish at 10.30. They carried on playing until just before midnight.
Joey announced that the only reason they were stopping was because he knew that most of the audience needed to get to the station before the last trains. (London trains stopped running just after midnight in those days).
It's still one of the best concerts I've ever been to, probably only beaten by Queen on The Works tour.
Awesome band to watch live. They really do care about the fans and their support acts. They ALWAYS watch the support acts from the wings. Not many headliners do that.

Cool Reaction! I'd love to see more Anthrax reactions. Their two most recent Albums were monster efforts start to finish and deserve more recognition. Jon Donais on guitar, a great addition to the band and his leads on For All Kings meshed really well with their return to their metal roots.

Not my favorite anthrax song, but still like it, WARDANCE is probably one of the most iconic parts of their live shows, you’re in the pit, no way around it🤘

So before I even watch - It was a top 3 band of mine that brought me to your channel (NIN). Anthrax is my number one for about 35 years now lol. I'm going into this with open eyes and realise you may not like it, but jesus man, you doing 'Thrax is awesome to me!!! Love it or hate it, I'm SO HAPPY you are doing it!!!

Crowds south of the border are pretty amazing. Two of the best concerts I’ve seen/heard are the Metallica Mexico City concerts on their Binge and Purge box set and the live DVD, Passion and Glory in Mexico City from 2009.
You should check out their performance of “Disposable Heroes” from 2009 for the channel or just your spare time. There’s also “Memory Remains” on there and even after the band stops, the crowd continues singing. It’s pretty cool.

Re: Dan Spitz: History lesson time.
Spitz left the band around 1994, after the recording of Sound of White Noise, to become a clock maker. He briefly returned for the 2005 reunion tours, but told the band he would not be returning as full-time member.
During the mid to late 90s, they had Paul Crook (who was one of the band's roadies) as unofficial member, and Dimebag Darrell (of Pantera) doing guest performances. Crook wanted to become the official fifth member, but Scott wouldn't have it, citing money issues, despite Crook telling him he'd happily play for free. This was during the time the labels they were signed to went belly-up, and they got little to no money from album sales.
At the turn of the millennium, they took in Rob Caggiano as official fifth member on lead guitars. He only lasted two albums and left. He got replaced with Jonathan Donais, who is still in the band today. The tour this video is taken from was probably his first live performance with Anthrax.

As others have said this is Rob Caggiano on lead. He left the band to join Volbeat. I saw Anthrax open for Volbeat, with Rob, several years ago. Volbeat wasn't a super popular band, in my area apparently, because they didn't even sell out a 3500 seat arena. Even less people were there for Anthrax and a lot of people stayed sitting on their asses. Anthrax was great but it just wasn't a great overall experience. Luckily I got to see them later in the tour when they headlined in Detroit so a much better experience with a sold out crowd. Two weeks ago I saw them perform Indians at a Indian casino. Another great performance by the band. Anthrax and opening band Exodus both mentioned it was weird to play a theater with seats all the way to the stage since we couldn't form a pit which both bands expected.

They are all old now lol (and this was 10 years!!!) but hats off to Joey - the man is in his 60's now (50's is this) and still giving it 100%! Is that 100% the same as 20 years ago, of course not, but the man is still giving it everything he has. Fucking love him for that (all of them for that)

This made me curious about something, you know the big 4 right? (Metallica, megadeth, slayer and anthrax) do you know about the teutonic big 4? Kreator, tankard, sodom and destruction or have you listened something from them at one point? ( outside of a reaction i mean)
