the isle devs being all like: anky isn't viable. also isle devs: lets put in the most useless fucking creatures in the game that no one will play and when they do they stand no chance against anything else in the game
Troodon could actually be good against a slow armored beast like anky, anky could be vulnerable against venom for example.
When i was a troodon, 30%-35% carno is just an easy prey cause of the venom

I wouldn't condemn the species based on this experience alone: You were dealing with a crappy server ping + lagging everything out by telling like over 50 people to play troodon with you, this was bound to happen. There was obviously 0 coordination in the attacks and no one was using the poison mechanic which is how you deal meaningful damage as a troodon. It isn't an omni: Until the final stage of venom mob pouncing isn't the way to go. Honestly, try troodon again with like 7 other people (your admins, for instance) and also look up how the venom actually works because from the start it was clear you didn't know. You'll have a much better time
Have to agree, this was a pretty bad attempt
Not to mention that pouncing before you reach adulthood is basically useless, so those pounces don't count. If they pounce too frequently early on it resets the venom process etc. So yeah, you can't mindlessly pounce like a raptor.

The truth of Troodon is that it's not good enough and there are 2 reasons for this. Reason 1 is that the pounce mechanic is scuffed and even when its not a dino can 180 alt bite and kill you instantly. And reason 2 is that Troodon poison shouldn't do direct damage. It should drain stamina or water, or it should reduce night vision of the target. It's not a night terror at all because every dino in the game has such good night vision that seeing a long distance is pointless if you have to get up close to kill.

I've been really enjoying troodon. I played with my brother and it was dope. I felt like I was killing things really quickly. Just the two of us took down a full-grown stego in a couple minutes with relative ease, and neither of us have really played troodon before. The only thing I had an issue with was falling 3 feet and breaking my legs, even though it's like 120 pounds. Kind of a shame I couldn't join in on the meetup, I had school and my soul fell out and died as I saw the 20-minute announcement on my phone.
This was so damn funny there was just so many troodons loved this video

Btw you don’t need to hold one for venom, you just need to get on and immediately jump off, probably wait a bit tho because of alt bite

Fun fact: the only reason Troodon isn't scary is because it's venom does the exact opposite of what it's meant to do. That's right, it heals the target. Not by a lot, but it does. Most of troodons damage output is from the initial pounce itself. The more venom you have stacked the more it heals.
Lol I was with like 6 troodons and we killed an adult stego just be better at playing troodon 😂

(commenting at :46) playing as a human a troodon could be scary but as dinos that are a lot larger, no. also they ended up getting my to about half health as a stego (i think around 50% growth), they were quite annoying partly because im not a good stego player so it to me a while to get them
Carnos should actually shiver in fear of troodons, cuz as i experienced myself , carnos are absolutely defensless against 4 good troodons
Only dino that can survive any troodon attack is deino , everything else can get smoked with ease

I think the isle needs to change how troodons kill and instead of venom stacking they should change it to a paralysis venom to where the venom doesn't cause damage, but every dinosaur needs a certain amount of bites to cause temporary paralysis. Maybe do a bite to weight ratio.
Nah it needs the damage because giving the troodon a bite force high enough to be meaningful to anything would be p silly
