I am in love with how they do the reversible clip. Not completely sure I want a scandi folder with a big backspacer that will get grit in it though, but maybe that's just just because I equate scandi grinds with outdoor use.

I would like Real Steel to make also premium versions with top steels, this is what they lack.

This is awesome ! Finally, almost 100mm blade, that what i ever expect from a knive, proper blade lenght for every edc purpose ! Now they need reduce weight and make a Germany legal carry version as a slipjoint or without pins on the blade. Instant buy guaranteed !

This knife is listed as a bushcraft knife, when micarta is what it has more grip, I think all the g10 models are flat grind, I’m excited to get this knife and put a secondary convex on it, I’ve chipped some scadis before and ever since I got a tips with a Scandivex grind I put a convex on all my non zero convex knives, I wish companies would make a folder with a true convex, as far as I know only fallkniven and a company called Katsu I believe makes folders with true convex, the Katsu folder in vg10 doesn’t have a clip it has a sheath and the ones with clips are titanium with layered zel-189, but they are 200-250 which seems like a great price for a budget version of Rockstead, Katsu claims their zip-189 is at 67 hrc if I remember correctly, but 200-250 on a company I only found on Amazon is hard for me to pull the trigger on.

Have the purple G10 version in hand. The G10 is very slick if you compare it to Spyderco’s g 10, though it still has enough texture, and likely won’t shred my pockets

You probably already know but micarta is the #1 choice for outdoor and bushcraft knives because when it gets wet it gets even more grippier.

I wonder if they have improved on that crossbarlock. I tried the huginn at a shop, and there was no way to use the lock from one side only, it would just tilt sideways and get jammed. On benchmades the axis bar stays pretty much straight and works fine when only pulling from one side. Atleast it seems like there are larger collars on the crossbar than the huginn had.

i am pretty well over the crossbar and button locks...

some companies do it better than others but squishy detents aren't for me...and as with most fads, some get tired of them faster than others...i pretty much always just prefer liner locks...personal preference@@heardistance

I just recently received the limited purple G10 version and the knife is great design-wise, very comfy, good fit and finish. I have but one niggle - they seem to have burnt the edge as it's rolling really easily. Every time I strop or sharpen it it gets better, but it still happens. Does Your piece have the same issue? Mine rolled when cutting some veggies on a bamboo cutting board (yeah, yeah, bamboo is the devil, I know, but it still shouldn't have rolled so easily)

I haven’t used it enough to get to that point but I’ll keep it under advisement. 👍

may be - I had a Spyderco in magnacut that had a burnt edge and kept chipping. For this folder, I convexed the very edge and tried feathersticking and carving and so far no edge damage. did not try batoning though, not going to at 14deg included bevel.
