I'm a nerd when it comes to parks and museums and I've been to Atlanta once. This is a decent list, but the history of MLK need to be at the top of the list.
Here's my ATL Guide: Here's my ATL Guide: When you get here, get you some Hattie Marie's, some Annie Laura's, Mary Macs, The Real Milk and Honey, or Roc South, get some Food Terminal, go to Rosa's Pizza before 4, get some Bahel Ethiopian, get you some Ike's cafe, get breakfast at Highland Bakery or Bantam and Biddy, or Gutbusters if you on the go, Cafe Intermezzo is worth a visit and you should get a wrap from Tassilis Raw Reality. Go to Morellis for ice cream, Insomnia for cookies, Sublime for doughnuts. For clubs go to Edgewood Avenue where K Michelle and 2 Chainz got they spots and pick your choice. Also there's Revery, OurBarAtl, Lacura and Code. For strip clubs if you like acrobatics and tricks go to Magic City, if you just like thick women go to Blue Flame, Blaze or Pin Ups. If you like women of all different sizes and types, go to Babe's. If you want a turnt up club, where it's a party and a strip club in one go to Peaches. Exert necessary caution and awareness at all these establishments. After the club if you hungry go to Waffle House, R. Thomas, Slutty Vegan, Edgewood Pizza or Pho 24 *on Buford highway* For fun go to the Ponce City Rooftop, walk the beltline via Ponce City market, check out what concerts are being played in the city, skate at Cascade (I like Wednesdays), go walk Little 5 Points, go to World of Coca Cola, Civil Rights museum and MLK museum, visit SCAD to see art, if it's Sunday do Bonfire ATL, Trap Museum, Jeju spa (24 hours) go to Apache Cafe for open mic night. If you happen to be here during the school year and Tri Cities high school is doing a musical, go see it! Black magnet arts program and they kill anything they touch. For bougie shopping stick to Buckhead, Lenox I guess, Phipps plaza. If you regular try Atlantic Station, Little 5 Points, Camp Creek, Tanger Outlets (ATL shopping scene is mostly designer, not very good). For Wholesale Costume jewelry and hair stuff, try Buford Highway towards White Windmill Bakery. Most stores require a business license but some will sell to anyone, so get your wholesale fix here. Outside stuff maybe Stone Mountain Park, Botanical gardens.....idk just don't go to lake Lanier under any circumstance. Oh, and drive to the corner of the Gateway center and bless one of them folks with a ten dollar bill or something, pay your dues.

Just for clarification, there is a difference between the Fernbank Science Center and the Fernbank Museum. The Fernbank Science Center is free admission and houses the actual Apollo 6 capsule and an incredible planetarium that does require tickets. The Fernbank Museum, on the other hand, is not free and showcases dinosaurs and many of the images from this video. Both are worth the visit and showcase the importance of science in the Atlanta Community.
@@josevich might be a little much but it’s totally doable and captures the city very well, day 1: Olympic park, cnn, aquarium, day 2: mlk up to piedmont park/botanical gardens and neighborhoods day 3: fernbank and then out to Stone Mountain, need to block out some good time for Stone Mountain just cause if location. MLK is a must, check operating hours for ebeneezer church and a house tour (need tickets) and the national park king museum, the King Center can be done quickly, it’s just one small exhibit.

I live in Atlanta and it’s a really nice city! I go to botanical gardens every year after thanksgiving with my family and they have really nice Christmas lights! I would highly recommend going there!

#atlanta is one of the best place to live. There are so many things to do and you are close to Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, the Carolinas and is so natural and easy to explore.
While this list is amazing, let's not forget about the sporting attractions. Tourist may also enjoy watching the Falcons, Hawks, United and Braves (Cobb County) play. Also, the Atlanta Motor Speedway for NASCAR fans.

You do know that the North had slavery too right? Boston was a cornerstone of the slave trade. NYC also had many enslaved Africans. www.nytimes.com/2010/02/26/arts/design/26burial.html It was a different time, but why did everyone fight to keep the South in the Union if they just planned on complaining about those states until the end of time? The Civil War was closer to the time of the Revolutionary War than it is to our time. How many people have moved out of and into the South since then? By the way 96% of all enslaved Africans were sent to Latin America. I wonder if Custer is a hero? He has statues too. Thomas Jefferson is on Mt. Rushmore, and he enslaved people. The same government that fought the Nazis also imprisoned Japanese Americans, and took Bikini Island for nuclear test. We are still paying for that one. Muhammad also enslaved people. Yet there is a fresco of him in the Supreme Court. The men I've named have all been hailed as heroes.

@Randy Rodes okay and the Portuguese and British brought far more enslaved Africans to the Americas. The idea of emancipation was a new one. And after the Civil War the Union was still breaking treaties with Native Americans, and pushing them off of land. Hypocrisy. Which flag was flown during the battles with Native Americans?
@@edawg9962 no one considers them heroes. They are a product of their time. There are black members of the Sons of the Confederacy too. Many of those people just have ties to Southern history. Today you see people questioning our founders in the same way you are questioning the Confederates. You simply have been raised in a world that is the way it is because they went through an enlightenment. Today there are 50 million enslaved people around the world, and not one of you has lifted a GD finger to help those people. So who is worse, the person who knows it is evil and does nothing, or the one who had the practice normalized to them since birth? 320,000 Union soldiers gave their lives. Yet today their families are asked to pay reparations, and are called privileged YT raycist.
