Very helpful, thanks you sir Jun19,2021: upgraded RAM 4Gb+8Gb. Boot time : 34 sec to login screen Win10 home fully started (only 1 win security on startup) : 50 sec. Total= 1 min 24sec Shutdown time : 5 sec (screen off), completely shut (all lamp indicators off) 35 sec
@@almonpard7224 Absolutely! You get 100x or more performance jump when using an SSD for random storage operations which you won't get with RAM upgrade unless you use an application not needing hard drive and loads large chunks of data beyond your existing modules
The back will not come off until you remove the screws under the keyboard as shown in the video. Do not force the back off or the plastic screw posts will be snapped off.
The screen on the Lenovo is brilliant, but sadly it is let down by the Wi-Fi dropping out a lot, feet falling off, poor battery life after a few years of occasional use. Seems be slowing down a lot recently. So I can concur this does have it's faults and Wi-Fi dropout is a pain.

Recommended is to have either 8GB or 16GB RAM to get benefits of dual channel architecture while also upgrading to a SSD simultaneously
Can you share the speed/performance difference after using ssd? Is it worthed?

@@InfCloud thank you very much for your opinion 🙏 it will be my next upgrade to get extra speed 😊
You sure we can remove the HDD and install in SSD for this laptop??
@@jayant. I bought a used one, that has 4Gb RAM and SSD. I haven't measured boot up time, but it's probably quite a bit under 30 seconds.
Thx for video!
2:55 Please, fingers away from the gold contacts on the RAM!
Does it have a PCI port for a m2 SSD?
Oh my god!! Your pc!!!!
Can just unscrew the back part?
