OK, I'm gonna say out loud what everybody else is thinking right now. House of Cards was Kevin Spacey. Without him, it's not even the same show. Sure I'll try to watch it, try it out, but if it's gonna be centered around Claire, I think I'll pass after a few episodes.

Season 6 was good, but It was missing Frank which would have made It much better. I'm sure the story was much different and had to be rewritten completely.

Besides, he's an actor. The whole point of his job is to act differently from his real self. If he goes to court and is convicted, definitely fire him (because what he did is a crime), but the idea of cancelling someone's career because of unconfirmed allegations is stupid.
Feels so forced and awkward without Spacey. Sure the rest of the cast were great too, but the series is just doomed to sort of fade away now. It's almost as if we're getting a non canon ending or something. Like a fan fic for Claire.
It'll be fine sure, but we'll never get to know what the original ending was meant to be. It's a shame.

I think it's quite close to what the original ending was meant to be. Just look at the name of the series. "House of Cards". Everything they've built was meant to fall. Frank fell, now Claire will fall. Perhaps they were supposed to go down together, but I do think that it was Claire's purpose as a character to destroy Francis.
That would interest me the most as well...however the producers wont make the "original" ending public, cause fans could rant against their way of rewriting I guess :(

this season played out rushed like they were cramming material in to 8 episodes to get to the ending. And the ending was bad.
Trust me. This is the worst season of perhaps any Netflix show I've seen. And it's not because of Kevin Spacey's absence. The writing is just all over the place, characters come and go so fast it's impossible to keep up. And the ending of the final episode is an anticlimax of the highest order. The series really ran out of steam after season 4.

I just finished the last season. I didnt know there were only 8 episodes, so after ep8 had ended I was very shocked and surprised how bad this show has ended. It absolutely wasnt no climax at all .... one of the best shows with an horrible last season and average season 5
Have been watching the show since the past month and finally completed it today. Can't believe the show ended like this without Francis J. Underwood, what a journey it was straight from Chapter 1 to Chapter 73. I am feeling so many emotions right now, can't believe a great actor's life was turned upside down. Doug is right to be afraid. Mrs. Underwood turned out to be just as bad as Frank if not worse plus smarter. A lot of Frank's best ides came from her.

Not even going to try to be specific but whenever he was in a tough spot he talked to her and she usually helped him figure it out. Yeah she did start working against him after a while so I'll give you that.
If this show ends with doug last man standing i would not care if a donkey is president i would be happy.

Doug is the oldest victim of Underwoods, if he'll be used as a punching bag for Claire this season, it won't be good.
Claire’s side comments to the audience is not nearly as effective as Frank’s. That shows how talented Kevin Spacey is. It’s a terrible terrible shame his private life is so horrendous. Without Mr. Spacey, this show had to end just like Pirates of the Carribean will end without Captain Jack Sparrow.
But mega streamers like Disney and Netflix will survive.
No Spacey... No House of cards.. End of story.. No matter what he's in personal life.. But no one can deny that his acting and the way he breaks the fourth wall is Extraordinary, Unmatched and impeccable 👌👌

Designated Survivor is full of one-dimensional characters who just want to 'serve the country' right, House of Cards has interesting schemers that you never know whether to trust or not, makes for a much stronger show

@@pagewilliams117 Recast? Some actors or actresses have such a strong performance, it is impossible to successfully replace them. Imagine swapping out one of the Friends cast members or replacing John Ritter from 8 Simple Rules.
I didn't see any story of Kevin Spacey raping anyone. The only one I heard of was him making a pass at a minor. A minor who left the situation without incident. Spacey was never tried and convicted of any crime.
If everyone got fired for an accusation, no one would be working.

Someone can make an accusation while ten more people jump on the bag wagon after hearing the first person. The fact that the climate is to believe the victim without evidence only adds to the problem.
It doesn’t matter if it is 100 people. Spacey has not been tried and convicted of any crime with solid evidence. It is a terrible thing to be in a country where someone or a group can destroy someone else without evidence. I know of a story where a guy was completely innocent and the mob wanted him dead. He committed no crime and even the judge knew he didn’t do anything. The mob prevailed because there were so many and he ended up getting murdered. Numbers don’t always mean truth.

Take Harvey Weinstein for example. Unless he actually forcefully raped someone, it was consensual. She chose to have sex maybe for a part in a movie. Later she has second thoughts about the decision, has regret, and is now angry with herself. She then takes it out on Weinstein. This is more out of spite because of her own choice rather than getting paid or famous. I think one woman tried to blackmail him and he was not going for it. She went public with her story to pile with the other accusations.

Sure Kevin spacey is a Great actor but so is Robin Wright. She's a powerhouse. Both Robin and Claire were never overshadowed by neither Kevin nor Frank. They were truly the most talented starcast.

You clearly failed to comprehend the underlying theme of the entire show.
I went into this season hearing how everyone had been disappointed with it and I kept an open mind. I wasn't as disappointed with the season as a whole as I was with that fucking finale. The producers of the show have stated that they deliberately left multiple storylines open-ended with the intention of "letting the viewers imaginations continue the stories" and that is such LAZY FUCKING BULLSHIT. Honestly, that is just a coward's way out. That's basically saying "We don't know how to give you endings, so you get to decide them for yourselves! It's not like we're the ones making the money for writing these stories!" I'm so livid because any show that ends like this deserves to be shit on. Am I saying it was a terrible ending? No. But it wasn't deserved and leaving so many characters with storylines literally hanging in the wind was a stupid and lazy decision and the producers of the show should be ashamed. Even one more fucking episode after that would've been enough to actually end the show, but what we were given was half-assed and incomplete.
Probably the worst season. Can’t wait for all anti Spacey people to come in and drop comments on how this was the “best season ever.” A waste of Robin Wright’s and Michael Kelly’s talent and easily the worst season in the show. I was actually excited for this despite Kevin’s departure and I fell asleep in the first 10 minutes. Nothing that captivated my interest and the ending was absolute trash. If you’re gonna ruin the show, at least have a decent script than crap for the actors to run off of. I felt like 6 seasons were a waste after all of what I saw in these 8 episodes. Still, one of the best shows of all time. Shame they got Dextered

Some of you guys cannot stand seeing another woman in power, let alone, carry an entire season. I bet it makes you angrily squirm in your seat. While Spacey with a very strong protagonist of the story, let's be honest here, Claire was too, and Frank would have not have accomplished his tasks without Claire. Season 4 already showed us how easily Claire can destroy him. Frank created an empire with her and now that he is gone, makes Claire's character that more fascinating in how she will do anything it takes to sustain it.

Even if he were convicted, the man is separate from his work. If everyone based their purchase of goods, services, and entertainment on the moral character or behavior of the business owner, employees, actors, and actresses; hardly anything would be bought, sold, or watched. Too all those mad about about Kevin Spacey, his character was most likely going to die eventually with Claire becoming President one way or another. That's how the British version ended anyway

I look forward to hearing about this train wreck of a season. Imagine if they had limited it to only 3 seasons and had planned a contained plot-line that wrapped itself up nicely with the literal house of cards falling over in the final season?
Robin wright can not pull this show alone on her shoulders. Someone with magnitude of Kevin Spacey’s talent is required to hold you from performance point of view.
Finished season 6. It literally sucks. 7 episodes long, boring af, new actors and actresses are weak, plot is stupid af, bad ending.....basically ruined the series...
I really dont understand Hollywood. Some bad actor after several years start talking some trash about Kevin Spacey and then you cut him out from this? No one proved that he did anything serious and you already banned him from this serie.. Its ridiculous. You destrod House of Cards. For me it had 5 seasons not 6.

this season was really pissing me off. watched all of it just to find out if there is something good in it. it's not how you make it. Kevin Spacey's acting was far above everyone.
