I already deleted the resonator and mufflers on the exhaust and just the intake delete kit a few days ago. Cant wait to install this air intake and add thr front and down pipe for some serious gains
Another great video both on install and drive👍 Yes wheels and tires asap. For reference the oem wheels weight 28.3 pounds 😳. The ones I put on weigh 23 pounds. Though still stock, acceleration and throttle response went through the roof it’s crazy. I swapped over the summer Eagle F1s from my oem wheels though I did go a little wider at 18x8.5 +45 and they stick! I know your on a base flex tune so it may be hard to answer but I wonder how this will react on the stock tune? I know prl posted a dyno graph but I’ve learned to take that with a grain of salt. No offense.. getting the car dynoed next week to see what it does in stock form. Super contemplating pulling the trigger on this and dynoing after to see the results 🤔. I’m actually really impressed with the factory power band throughout.

I’m not expecting any crazy power gains out of this intake if anything it’ll just prepare myself and everyone else who gets this for any future turbo upgrades. Amazing video! Just got my 11th gen Si this week and doing all kinds of research on the first couple mods I want to do to it. I've previously owned the 10th gen and to be completely honest the 11th gen stock doesn't feel as fast as my 10th gen when stock, but I have a good feeling that there is a lot of performance potential once putting some mods on the 11th gen. I plan to order this high volume intake from PRL along with upgrading the Intercooler and lastly getting a K tuner setup on it. The BIG question I have is if you are still running on your stock clutch? I've read different reviews stating some people dont have an issue running a tune on a stock clutch and others get slippage... so just thought I'd get your opinion on it. Keep up the great content my friend, and by the way you just got your self another follower and I've made sure to enable to notification bell! Lol 🤝
My man! Thank you for the kind words and congrats on getting a new SI. So, I am still running the stock clutch, it still sucks on this generation civic like it did on the 10th Gen. In my personal experience, running Hondata’s flex fuel map, I don’t get any slippage until I start adding E85, the more e85 lol the worse the slippage, I think the most I run is E30 though and that’s only on hard shifts. Like when I would do I launch and then I would shift to 4th, it would slip a little. Or when I want to pass someone on the highway and I try to downshift and launch it, it would slip. But with the regular pump fuel maps you should be fine. I recently switched to Ktuner and so far no issues on their most aggressive map. I haven’t added E85 into the mix yet but my next video will be on Hondata and Ktuner so you’ll hear my experiences on there. Good luck man and thank you for supporting the channel! 🙏

For a daily driver that is used mostly for slightly spirited driving and some road trips is the prl intercooler worth it? Should i do the charge pipes too for my needs? Also, how would you swap the filter with this intake? Would you have to remove the intake to do it? Ive never modded a car before so my questions probably seem silly.
Hey man I think you should possibly do another driving video without sport mode on because you are getting a ton of the artificial sound getting pumped in. It's hard to get an idea of what the intake really sounds like.

U already had the resonator delete kit install done. Is there extra steps to install this without that done? The resonator delete install looks painful. Thanks
No you don’t need a tune. Been running without a custom tune for months now with no issues. You would see the most benefit out of these mods with a custom tune though.
Hey man, my 1.5 civic CVT is making 185WHP with PRL stage 1 intake system.. do you think it can add more if i change to HVI? Also, is it safe to run a cvt civic with 200+ whp? i want to but i dont want my cvt to break
Just bought the PRL HVI for my ‘24 Integra 6mt. Just a video of a ‘23 integra going into limp mode after hitting redline with this intake installed. What are your thoughts on that? Have you had the same experience or heard anything similar? I guess now I’m just hesitant on the install
@@_takeheart well there’s two. One on the stock intake that’s going to come off with the stock intake so that one is automatically coming out, then there’s another one located on the charge pipe of the Intercooler. If you go and look at my cobra intake video, I show you what I’m talking about
That’s strange, I never had that issue. Make sure sure everything is on correctly including the MAF sensor. Other than that you’d have to ask PRL if they can help you troubleshoot
@@luiproductions you might want to mention that in your videos. Most owners think they can can modify and still get warranty covered repairs. Fact is, all warranty from a tranny to a blower motor is dead the minute you modify. That’s a pretty big deal. You mods are going to shorten the life of the engine and likely turbo. Engine is 13000$ and turbo is 3000$ including labor.
So if my electrical system fails, or my computer dies, or a gasket is leaking you’re saying because of an aftermarket intake system I installed is the cause of all those issues? By law they must prove without a doubt that my upgrades caused the problem. How they gonna say an aftermarket intake system is the cause of a faulty transmission, or leaking head gasket? Warranty is still active don’t be scared like this guy and know your rights
@@kotastrophie you don’t know what you are talking about. Here is a new idea for you, READ your warranty! And the answer is yes, the entire warranty goes down the toilet when you modify the engine. That right bone head, 100% gone. Zero coverage.
Just put this in today. Few things different than the production model. That bracket has your pre production grommet @10:43 but it doesn't line up exactly with the air box so it just kind of sits on top, not sure if it's designed like that but seems kind of odd.
Are you talking about 10:50? I just put this in today and I could not get that damn bolt to go in. I gave up and left it out. It's very snug without it so not sure if I'm going to leave it or redo it.
@@lepoldbuttersstotch OH I know what you're talking about! I had the same issue. You have to remove the metal bracket that is on the car stock. If you look at 8:44 you can see it's not there. I was in the same boat but you just need to remove the metal bracket that is held on by two 10m bolts.
@@B.K.7 Yup, that's the piece. I mean that the replacement bracket doesn't actually fit in the hole at 8:20. Mine didn't come with the grommet there. My bracket was just one piece and it doesn't fit in that hole at 8:20
Lol that’s interesting, I have no clue why anyone would want to remove the front bumper for an intake. I removed mine in my newest video to show you guys the duct but that’s about it
@Lui Productions I have the 2023 integra. One video for the resonator deleted, they removed the bumper. I have been holding off on this upgrade because I didn't want to take my bumper off before my 1st oil change. 🤣 Now I've seen your video, I went ahead & ordered the intake as well as the extra vent. @Lui Productions I completed the install. I didn't have to remove the wheel well or bumper. I also installed the +vent. Took right at an hour, answering all my 5yo daughters questions along the way. Lol. Was a little tricky attaching the 2 button head screws into the extra vent, but everything went pretty smooth, watching your for motivation. 🤣
How do ur temps look with this one? I have a k&n sri and atleast 20-30* hotter than ambient at the intake on freeway. Ive gotten close to 150* in traffic
Forgive my lack of knowledge, but I am sure you or another viewer can quickly help answer 1-2 questions about my 2022 Si project. I just pre-ordered this HF intake system from PRL... Can you please advise me 1. Do I also want / need the resonator delete kit? or does that go away entirely with this new box? (because on PRL website it says "pair with" 2. I also saw the have a 2nd cold air vent for the bottom of this HF intake, but again, not sure about how the bracket is installed, and if the delete kit, is needed, or effects the install of the second vent. Any advice you can give me is appreciated. Thank you to anyone willing to help.
Hello, this intake will get rid of the need for half of the resonator delete kit. Check out my cobra cold air intake video to see where the other half of that kid gets install. To answer your second question. PRL does not advertise the secondary duct requiring the resonator delete.
I am also curious about this. This is the first car I have ever modded. The resonator plug kit is listed as "frequently bought with" on the PRL website. Is that necessary with the high flow intake? I never saw you move it from the removed stock part to the PRL part. Thanks
@@PhugNutz there are two parts to the resonator delete kit. One removes the resonator on the stock intake, and the other piece removes the resonator on the Intercooler piping. If you get an after market intake then you won’t need half the kit. If you get an aftermarket intake and aftermarket Intercooler piping then you don’t need the kit at all.

@@jaylonsorrells5139 if you get an intake and upgraded intercooler piping then you won’t need or be able to use the resonator delete kit. All it does is get rid of the resonators that dampen sound from the factory air box box and charged air piping
Hey so I ordered the cobra intake but have seen good things and bad things about it installed on the 11th Gen being that you have had it and now have this one which is better in regards to no issues?
I didn’t have any issues with the cobra, you won’t be able to do a full install, as in there’s a bracket that can’t be used. But it makes more Turbo noises if that’s something you want, I know a lot of guys want that. I prefer the new one because it fits really nice and I think it looks cleaner. It’s not as loud as the cobra. Both are good in my opinion. Not sure what stories you’re hearing, but if you’ve seen my cobra install video you’ll see that it’s pretty straight forward.

@@CarlosRamirez-xb2iz the High Volume is really easy to install and makes more sound than stock. The cobra is harder to install but makes more noise. I personally would go with the high volume because it’s easy to install and it’s made for this car. But you can’t go wrong with either

No it’s not required. When you install this there is no need for the resonator delete on this intake. There is, however, a resonator that can be deleted on the charge piping of the Intercooler. But it’s not needed for the intake. I deleted the resonator for the charge pipes in my “PRL Motorsports Cobra cold air intake install” video of you want to check that out so you have an idea of what that looks like if you don’t already.
@@luiproductions it actually did. That night it showed up. Idk how if usps out sourced it through FedEx or something but FedEx ended up bringing it. The install was a lil but of a pain and my dumbass forgot to hook the map sensor back up so I through codes. But I figured out how to get the codes off and everything working now.
@@luiproductions and being stressed after throwing codes I pulled in to my garage a little to far over and traded paint with painted wood now I have new marks on the side of a month old car I gotta get fixed.
It doesn’t look like you’d need to. He even made the comment that he preferred to mount to filter to the air box prior to installing it in the engine bay. So you should be able to remove the pipe, then remove the three bolts that secure the filter without removing the air box.
Since it’s meant for this car I would say yes, personally I think it looks better. The Cobra just has A LOT more intake noise, if that’s what you’re into
What do you mean by full intake system? This is an intake. Unless you’re referring to the inlet pipe past the MAF housing leading to the turbo. That pipe is already highly efficient for the turbo that is in this car. I’m sure someone will create a better inlet pipe for future turbo upgrades
@@luiproductions well compared to the cold air intake that is just exposed ? I’m guessing for the one exposed you don’t go as fast because of the heat surrounding which makes the air thinner. So then my question is if this PRL one would go faster just because of the heat protection it has. But it’s also has restriction because of the tubing ?
@@lucidgravitationalpull2234 so the cobra is considered a cold air because the intake filter sits at the bottom of the car far from the source of heat. This High volume intake still provides protection from hot air. There is no real real restriction with either intake you go with.

Probably not a ton. I’d look at a cold air intake more as an upgrade that helps maintain consistency in power as it will reduce intake temps. The colder the air the more power. But you should better performance out of your turbo.
It’s cold air by design as in it takes cold air from the front grill, versus the traditional cold air set up that everyone is use to which pulls cold air from the bottom such as the Cobra cold air set up
@@kotastrophie Open the glove box and remove the screws holding the plastic trim below the passenger front air vents. Carefully peal the plastic back . There is a small electronic box that controls that function. Unplug it and place the wire in a way that won't cause a cabin noise.

Mostly likely. You can install this and omit the box. Don't put the filter in the box and it becomes a short ram intake.

No you don’t have to put everything back together. You can keep the part of the resonator delete that goes to the charge piping

One on the stock intake that’s going to come off with the stock intake so that one is automatically coming out, then there’s another one located on the charge pipe of the Intercooler.

The PRL 10thgen cobra intake is a full cold air.

That’s strange, I never had that issue. Make sure sure everything is on correctly including the MAF sensor. Other than that you’d have to ask PRL if they can help you troubleshoot

@@luiproductions you might want to mention that in your videos. Most owners think they can can modify and still get warranty covered repairs. Fact is, all warranty from a tranny to a blower motor is dead the minute you modify. That’s a pretty big deal. You mods are going to shorten the life of the engine and likely turbo. Engine is 13000$ and turbo is 3000$ including labor.
So if my electrical system fails, or my computer dies, or a gasket is leaking you’re saying because of an aftermarket intake system I installed is the cause of all those issues? By law they must prove without a doubt that my upgrades caused the problem. How they gonna say an aftermarket intake system is the cause of a faulty transmission, or leaking head gasket? Warranty is still active don’t be scared like this guy and know your rights
@@kotastrophie you don’t know what you are talking about. Here is a new idea for you, READ your warranty! And the answer is yes, the entire warranty goes down the toilet when you modify the engine. That right bone head, 100% gone. Zero coverage.

Just put this in today. Few things different than the production model. That bracket has your pre production grommet @10:43 but it doesn't line up exactly with the air box so it just kind of sits on top, not sure if it's designed like that but seems kind of odd.
Are you talking about 10:50? I just put this in today and I could not get that damn bolt to go in. I gave up and left it out. It's very snug without it so not sure if I'm going to leave it or redo it.

@@lepoldbuttersstotch OH I know what you're talking about! I had the same issue. You have to remove the metal bracket that is on the car stock. If you look at 8:44 you can see it's not there. I was in the same boat but you just need to remove the metal bracket that is held on by two 10m bolts.
@@B.K.7 Yup, that's the piece. I mean that the replacement bracket doesn't actually fit in the hole at 8:20. Mine didn't come with the grommet there. My bracket was just one piece and it doesn't fit in that hole at 8:20

Lol that’s interesting, I have no clue why anyone would want to remove the front bumper for an intake. I removed mine in my newest video to show you guys the duct but that’s about it
@Lui Productions I have the 2023 integra. One video for the resonator deleted, they removed the bumper. I have been holding off on this upgrade because I didn't want to take my bumper off before my 1st oil change. 🤣 Now I've seen your video, I went ahead & ordered the intake as well as the extra vent. @Lui Productions I completed the install. I didn't have to remove the wheel well or bumper. I also installed the +vent. Took right at an hour, answering all my 5yo daughters questions along the way. Lol. Was a little tricky attaching the 2 button head screws into the extra vent, but everything went pretty smooth, watching your for motivation. 🤣

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but I am sure you or another viewer can quickly help answer 1-2 questions about my 2022 Si project. I just pre-ordered this HF intake system from PRL... Can you please advise me
1. Do I also want / need the resonator delete kit? or does that go away entirely with this new box? (because on PRL website it says "pair with"
2. I also saw the have a 2nd cold air vent for the bottom of this HF intake, but again, not sure about how the bracket is installed, and if the delete kit, is needed, or effects the install of the second vent. Any advice you can give me is appreciated. Thank you to anyone willing to help.
Hello, this intake will get rid of the need for half of the resonator delete kit. Check out my cobra cold air intake video to see where the other half of that kid gets install.
To answer your second question. PRL does not advertise the secondary duct requiring the resonator delete.
I am also curious about this. This is the first car I have ever modded. The resonator plug kit is listed as "frequently bought with" on the PRL website. Is that necessary with the high flow intake? I never saw you move it from the removed stock part to the PRL part. Thanks
@@PhugNutz there are two parts to the resonator delete kit. One removes the resonator on the stock intake, and the other piece removes the resonator on the Intercooler piping. If you get an after market intake then you won’t need half the kit. If you get an aftermarket intake and aftermarket Intercooler piping then you don’t need the kit at all.
@@luiproductions ahh I see, I do plan on doing an intercooler upgrade. Does that make it to where you can’t use the resonator kit or just that it isn’t necessary to boost the sound?
@@jaylonsorrells5139 if you get an intake and upgraded intercooler piping then you won’t need or be able to use the resonator delete kit. All it does is get rid of the resonators that dampen sound from the factory air box box and charged air piping

Hey so I ordered the cobra intake but have seen good things and bad things about it installed on the 11th Gen being that you have had it and now have this one which is better in regards to no issues?
I didn’t have any issues with the cobra, you won’t be able to do a full install, as in there’s a bracket that can’t be used. But it makes more Turbo noises if that’s something you want, I know a lot of guys want that. I prefer the new one because it fits really nice and I think it looks cleaner. It’s not as loud as the cobra. Both are good in my opinion. Not sure what stories you’re hearing, but if you’ve seen my cobra install video you’ll see that it’s pretty straight forward.

The cobra is harder to install but makes more noise.
I personally would go with the high volume because it’s easy to install and it’s made for this car.
But you can’t go wrong with either

I never did that and my car was fine
had to do it on mine, had every single light on the dash go off but after unplugging the battery it was all good

this will require you to install the intake prl resonator delete right?
No it’s not required. When you install this there is no need for the resonator delete on this intake. There is, however, a resonator that can be deleted on the charge piping of the Intercooler. But it’s not needed for the intake. I deleted the resonator for the charge pipes in my “PRL Motorsports Cobra cold air intake install” video of you want to check that out so you have an idea of what that looks like if you don’t already.

@@luiproductions it actually did. That night it showed up. Idk how if usps out sourced it through FedEx or something but FedEx ended up bringing it. The install was a lil but of a pain and my dumbass forgot to hook the map sensor back up so I through codes.
But I figured out how to get the codes off and everything working now.
@@luiproductions and being stressed after throwing codes I pulled in to my garage a little to far over and traded paint with painted wood now I have new marks on the side of a month old car I gotta get fixed.

It doesn’t look like you’d need to. He even made the comment that he preferred to mount to filter to the air box prior to installing it in the engine bay. So you should be able to remove the pipe, then remove the three bolts that secure the filter without removing the air box.

Since it’s meant for this car I would say yes, personally I think it looks better. The Cobra just has A LOT more intake noise, if that’s what you’re into

What do you mean by full intake system? This is an intake. Unless you’re referring to the inlet pipe past the MAF housing leading to the turbo. That pipe is already highly efficient for the turbo that is in this car. I’m sure someone will create a better inlet pipe for future turbo upgrades
@@luiproductions well compared to the cold air intake that is just exposed ? I’m guessing for the one exposed you don’t go as fast because of the heat surrounding which makes the air thinner. So then my question is if this PRL one would go faster just because of the heat protection it has. But it’s also has restriction because of the tubing ?
@@lucidgravitationalpull2234 so the cobra is considered a cold air because the intake filter sits at the bottom of the car far from the source of heat. This High volume intake still provides protection from hot air. There is no real real restriction with either intake you go with.

How much horsepower does it add to the car?
Probably not a ton. I’d look at a cold air intake more as an upgrade that helps maintain consistency in power as it will reduce intake temps. The colder the air the more power. But you should better performance out of your turbo.
So this is not a cold air intake?
It’s cold air by design as in it takes cold air from the front grill, versus the traditional cold air set up that everyone is use to which pulls cold air from the bottom such as the Cobra cold air set up

That would just be a ram air intake, which I’m pretty sure you can buy from PRL

@@kotastrophie Open the glove box and remove the screws holding the plastic trim below the passenger front air vents. Carefully peal the plastic back . There is a small electronic box that controls that function. Unplug it and place the wire in a way that won't cause a cabin noise.
