As an American, can be very expensive for us to see a show like this. Going to a theater show is a beautiful experience. I love your content selection.
Same as a german. Only have a few select cities to watch these shows, I only can think if two for big ones like these. Plus, since they are in german, we mostly dont get alot of the stuff you can see in America or the Uk, even though we did get Hamilton. For other stuff we would have to travel either to the US or UK.
This musical is very impressive in person. The puppetry of the various animals can be very realistic. My mother took me to see it when I was a kid and the elephant 🐘 walking down the aisle of the theatre was a wonderful surprise because you're so focused on what is happening up front.
"Talking helps keeping the spirit alive." Wise words! Love these folks, you and your team, for giving us a glimpse into their worldview. Just the fact that they're appreciative towards the dedication of the actors and stage hands is so wholesome.
Seeing this in a theater in person was an incredible experience, they stirred up dust ahead of time so that you could smell the sand in the air, and sprinkled it in the carpets in the isles between the seats so that as the actors walked down past the audience, singing, in these beautiful, elaborate costumes, it kicked up sand with every step they took as though they were on real ground in the African Savanah! Actors don’t usually come off of the stage, it was really a magical experience.
I know I am late to the party, but I just about cried this entire video through. It's like watching this number for the first time all over again. How extraordinary. I love art.
The animated movie was the first movie I ever watched in cinema and I also visited the German cast musical version in Hamburg with my younger sis and mother. I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did and still do. BTW, I love love LOVE the new set. Those pieces of art look gorgeous and I love how vivid, warm and rich the colours are 🥰
Some of the Disney stage musicals feel like they just took the movie and put it on stage, but with Lion King, they really did something creative and different.
Just came across your channel and videos and I’m in a deep rabbit hole watching everyone having all these new experiences… It’s amazing on many levels just how similar each of these gentlemen are to people I know and meet daily and yet how very different everything is to them. Truly, it’s eye opening that I’m less than half the age of some and yet have experienced so much already in my life comparatively.
I saw this live 15 years ago, but I was disoriented by everything happening on the stage. Now, I understand that the chaos and cacophony right before the king and queen showed their cub is a realistic representation of the animal kingdom - especially with the birds, and it's so beautiful that suddenly there's this moment of silence where the animals gaze in reverence at the newborn.
I loved this! I've also never had the opportunity to see this caliber of stage musical. What an amazing show. Seems like the guys really enjoyed this as well!
This was really cool to see! My friend Dan got to play Scar in one of Disney’s productions of this, I’m not sure which one, but knowing him, he would be perfect for it. Happy Yule from Los Angeles! ❤️🔥
That's a great video! Thank you so much! Since you mentioned opera again, I think it could be interesting to show them the the queen of the nights aria from Mozarts "Magic flute!" The most impressive version was sung by Diana Damrau.
WHAT'S UP WITH ME. I was wondering which version this was as the refrain wasn't being sun in English. Then, close to the end of the song, noticed the little avrotros and NPO1 in the top corners. They were singing in Dutch. MY NATIVE LANGUAGE. In other words: if you want a translation of this version, I could probably give one Also, I think they might enjoy Stefania by Kalush Orchestra. It is in Ukrainian, but English translations are available. There is a stage version and a music video. It was originally written as an ode to one of the artist's mother for an international music festival (Eurovision, they represented the country of Ukraine). Between the announcement that they would be singing that song and the festival itself, Ukraine was invaded by Russia (part of Ukraine has been occupied since 2014, but this was fully with the intention to take over all of Ukraine). So the song got a new, additional context. The mother was now also mother Ukraine. They won the contest and the song sends shivers down my spine. (Ukraine is currently beating Russia back with increasing success! This contest was in May if I remember correctly)
Yeah, it is the Dutch one! I watched it in person and they flew the birds very close over your head and you could see the animals up close as they walked through the paths between the seats. It is incredibly impressive to see in person how they made those. I also think the audio in this version doesn't do it justice. It was really good in person.
I’ve had the honor of seeing this musical in person many times - the music, the energy, the message - you feel it to the very core of your being. Most excellent! 🥰🇺🇸
I just adore seeing Muharam get excited about new things! He's so open to learning and always seems to have a place in his heart for the things he learns about. I deeply appreciate people like Muharam ☺️
This was interesting, I didn't know it myself and usually wouldn't watch this kind of entertainment (though I liked the tribal elements in the music...), but as it is on my favorite channel... and as always their individual reactions and comments to this were refreshing, thoughtful and heartwarming. "I could play the baby lion's mom..." *lol* loved that one, great man! - Even if you maybe don't celebrate christmas as we do here in Bavaria I wish all of you merry Christmas, be blessed for all you do for a better world! Peace and love 💗💗💗
Music is the one common language. The fact that people who do not understand the words but can feel the exact same emotions at the exact same time as someone understanding the lyrics-- it all comes down to the music. I am so interested in the culture of these Tribal people. Thank you for making these videos.
I loved this so much brother Adnan! I've been out of state since November (back to my home state of South Carolina). We'll be here through the Christmas and New Year holidays and the trip has kept us very busy with catching up with family and old friends, so I haven't had much time to watch. But, when I saw this video pop up in my notifications, I just had to watch it to see the reactions. For the last 10 years, I've lived way up North in upstate NY (about 4 hours North of NY City) and I've been blessed to have seen several Broadway shows. My fondest wish is that someday you and the team will be able to travel to either the US or some large European metropolitan city and see some live concert and stage performances. Being in a big theater or concert venue can be absolutely magical! You can literally "feel" the music in your bones, in a way that a video recording can't really duplicate. And trust me... I know that would cost quite a bit to come to fruition, but I have the utmost faith that it will happen one day for you! Your dedication and hard work for and on this channel will bless you and the whole team a thousand-fold and you'll be able to do things that you haven't imagined! I just know it in my heart of hearts! It was such a lovely little break in the busy holiday festivities, to sit down for a couple of minutes and watch some of my very favorite people in the world, enjoying a musical stage performance for the first time! It was every bit as joyful as I thought it would be! Take good care of yourself and each other and don't ever stop believing in your ability to make your dreams and the dreams of others come true! Much love and abundant blessings to the Trybals family from your American sister! 💛🕊️🙏
The Lion King is beloved. Even I can't help but cry at the opening song. So I am watching this with tears in my eyes. Lion King is children's Shakespeare. It's about the loss of a father and the rise of a young man/lion and how he becomes king. I think the idea came from an old cartoon I use to watch called Kimba The White Lion Cub.
The power of shared experience is a wonderful thing. I am glad that you are able to do this for those nice folks. I have a suggestion, how about showing them "MILO AND OTIS " ? I think it would be a fun thing for them.
This was actually the very first musical I got to see when I was a child. It was nothing but mind-breaking seeing one of my favorite animations be brought to life in such a way. Even after all these years, my appreciation for such a craft has only grown with the knowledge and understanding of how such productions are made (especially since I've been able to participate in making such magic myself in community theaters for others to enjoy).
I'm new on this channel and i'm absolutly delighted to listen your conversation with these e gentlemen and sometimes ladies! Ive been learning a lot about different culture and different views about westerns. Thank so much!🤗
10:25 YES! You would not believe the work and years that people study and practice to get to this level of profession. For performers, it is their dream and life dedication. Very hard on the body and brain. 10:25
It's about time! I requested this 2 years ago. 😂 I absolutely ❤❤ The Lion King Musical. There is no other musical like it. That's why its been on Broadway for almost 30 years. I see it every chance I get. 😊 You did a great job explaining it to them. Have you considered showing them the 2019 animation of this?
Thank you for these interesting videos. It was really nice to know all these people. As an European it was interesting to know what other people think other cultures and other lands. For me many foreign cultures are common because I used to live example in North Africa and in the Middle East plus I have been travelling about 70 countries. I would love to meet your people some day.
Adnan bhai this video was fulfilling and wholesome to watch, one day could you do a video on the topi (not sure if i spelled it correctly) and Ajrak (seen your vid of how it's made) and why they are worn and why is it important in Sindhi culture, Salaams from Aaleyah in Pennsylvania 🇺🇸
This was a joy to watch. If the good Abdul Aziz Rind Baloch likes and appreciates the dance and their hard work in this I wonder if you shouldn't show him and the rest the Lioness hunt as well. The choreography and costumes are beautiful.
Oh how I have missed watching these videos!!! I’m just crying watching them. I have so much love for these beautiful men!!! We are ALL brothers and sisters!!
I just adore the new set; the Trybals folks certainly ought to be presented in the beauty of their arts, as they look into other arts ~ after all, this is true sharing and i sense more of the heart here. ✨🙏🏼🌼 ✨🙏🏼🌼
The lion, King and Circle of life done originally by Elton John, he sings and plays beautifully and wrote the song is so amazing. If you watch him play live that would be fun to show.
Aaaaah I’ve been wanting to see this stage production since it was first introduced when I was 7. All the commercials for it were sooooo magical! 😍 The costume design alone is just such an inspiration frfr 😭 One day, I’ll definitely go see it in person. 💪 I’m glad our friends over there appreciated it as well! I know that there’s lots of RUclips videos showing different language dubs of Disney songs, I’m sure there must be at least one in their language from this popular movie. It would be cool to see them compare the stage vs film versions.
Love this. I think I like your videos like this better than the rock/metal types of reactions. Something that "freshens" the mind, whether the topic is serious or lighthearted.
Hi Adnan, would it be possible to see photographs of our wonderful Trybals friends with their loved ones? Its been so enjoyable getting glimpses into your lives that I just thought it would be nice to see their/your family. Thanks for everything guys.
I just watched your video where they reacted to Kate Bush - maybe you should show them more of her work. I think it would be much more interesting for them than hard rock. And considering that Kate Bush is considered one of the best artists ever (she composes and writes her own music, and was knighted for her contribution to British music), that alone is interesting.
What I love about these videos is that you explain, contextualize, and honor Western culture with them, but you don't *convert* them to it. You don't expect them to change their tastes or preferences, to dishonor or change their own cultural values. You just expose them to some of the best of Western culture and allow them to react to it from their hearts. I love you for it.
Love this, thanks! It was the first movie I saw in theatres when I was little! Just wish you’d have shown them the movies first though so they understand… Have a good one!
I think Muharam is a fascinating man, very bright and intelligent, and with a deep spirit and kind soul. Thank you for sharing these amazing video's with the world.
Obviously this is not a new video, but all the same I felt the need to add a second comment since it’s a different idea than the first. I’d be super interested in having the ‘uncles’ react to some animation. The Lion King was an animated movie first, after all. There’s just SO MUCH animation to sample, too. I know there’s some cultural differences with certain things being animated, but you also had a video with ‘Take on Me’ from A-Ha, so I figured I’d at least bring up the idea. Everything from classic black and white Mickey Mouse shorts (Steamboat Willie is in the public domain) to later Looney Tunes would be interesting. Beyond that, some of the Disney movies like Lion King, maybe the Hunchback of Notre Dame or the Little Mermaid? Even the CGI ones like Toy Story, Up, or WALL·E? (If none of those are acceptable, maybe even Zootopia, since there are no human beings in that one). And that’s just western animation. You could also do ‘anime’ from Japan, like major hits like Dragonball Z, One Piece, Naruto, or Pokémon. Or go a little bit deeper and do Cowboy Bebop, Gundam, or Junji Ito. You could easily do a couple episodes on ‘animation’ if you wanted.
The Lion King is based on Shakespear's play, Hamlet. The king is killed by his brother. The king's ghost appears to Hamlet/Simba. He is lied to by two characters he trusts, but eventually he learns the truth and avenges his father's death.
brother urdu main baat karne ka shukriya, sindhi bhi bohot achi zabaan hai lekin ye videos main apne abbo ammi ko bhi dikhata hon to jub aap urdu main explain karte hain woh bohot tawaja se sunte hain. JZK
The thing is, the lion was _never_ King Of The Jungle - lions don't live in jungles and never have done! 🦁 They're savannah-dwelling animals, so live in places like the Serengeti. All of that said, this beautiful music moves me to tears every single time I hear it. 💛
5:55 I've been saying that for YEARS. Lions don't even live in jungles, they live in dry plains and grasslands. So why do we call it the King of the Jungle? I'm actually curious where that association came from.
I love these videos, such insight is inspiring. Can I ask, sorry if it’s been asked before but I can’t find it, what has happed to Parvati? I haven’t seen her in recent videos. I sincerely hope she is ok. Thank you.
There is some more information on it on the community posts. But from what I understand some of the participants had some trouble with attending or weren't really all that interested (it seemed). I believe that at some point some new people will be introduced
I hope they were told the whole fable, the symbolism and themes behind the story. There is much to discuss and appreciate, I could sit for hours hearing their thoughts. The Lion King is an inspirational story about fulfilling obligations and duty for the good of one’s people, even when the cards are stacked against you. Shame and redemption.

I full belly laughed when said "I could play the cubs mother "Here comes your future king." He reminds me of everyones favorite uncle.
My belly wobbled with him.

I'm not proud, so I'll say it publicly: the opening number made me cry. It was just so beautiful.
Exactly.
I cried at Muphasa's death even though I k ew it was coming.
It was done so beautiful.
i must say i love the new set
Oh thank you!

Wow, I never saw what the stage show looked like. Amazing! I’m every bit as impressed as the gentlemen. I agree that you “feel” they are alive.

Elton John and Tim Rice had nothing to with this? Is it an Endemol production? Edit: Duuuuh...Dit was de Nederlandse versie😄 ik lette niet op.

I've seen this show live just once but I cannot wait to go again. This intro brought me close to tears when I was there, its such a wonderful show.
I feel like the best way to explain a musical to our Trybals would be to ask if they'd ever seen a Bollywood film.
This was a joy to watch. If the good Abdul Aziz Rind Baloch likes and appreciates the dance and their hard work in this I wonder if you shouldn't show him and the rest the Lioness hunt as well. The choreography and costumes are beautiful.

The lion, King and Circle of life done originally by Elton John, he sings and plays beautifully and wrote the song is so amazing. If you watch him play live that would be fun to show.
The lady who sings first gives me chills. Such a unique and powerful voice
Not to mention that this was only the opener of what was probably a two hour show. Very very very hard work.
I love how they always appreciate the hard work of the artists!

good to see yr channel rejuvenated...
I'm a professional stagehand... this production was absolutely fantastic. Theaters have to be altered to fit this show... the crew was fantastic.
"the lion is no longer then king of the jungle... the lion can be seen in a cage today" that made me so inexplicably sad.
6:22 What was that face, Adnan? 🤣

I'm not crazy about the theatre but this was my favourite play ever.
JZK
I love the live action lion king and this reaction video 😂❤
One thing isn't pointed out. The performers are partly singing in an African language (I don't know which.) That may have helped their appreciation.
I didn't expect this to be sung partly in Dutch :p
amazing video!!!
The thing is, the lion was _never_ King Of The Jungle - lions don't live in jungles and never have done! 🦁
They're savannah-dwelling animals, so live in places like the Serengeti.
All of that said, this beautiful music moves me to tears every single time I hear it. 💛
I'd love to see their reaction to Nothing Compares To You, the Sinead O'Connor video.
❤
10:30 i feel he ment the flow of movement was natural
You should have them react to the whole movie.
5:55 I've been saying that for YEARS. Lions don't even live in jungles, they live in dry plains and grasslands. So why do we call it the King of the Jungle? I'm actually curious where that association came from.
You look so different these days! Maybe it's the hat. Also, I love the new set!
Ok, I want those chairs.
So you tell them that the Lion King is a re-telling of Hamlet by Shakespeare?
I laughed at the stick reply 🤣
😂
Mohammad is too serious! To Muharam, music speaks to his soul
I wonder if there is a version of the movie with subtitles that they can watch to hear more of the music
Not all participants can read, so that’s not an option unfortunately
Perhaps more duscussion videos would be good. Thank you so much the hard work
What happened to Parvati? I haven't seen for for a long time.
Do they have the same word for tiger and lion in their language? I heard them say 'shere' when talking about a lion. Shere means 'tiger', right?
Dude is taking this way too literal lol. Of course a lion isn’t holding its cub up for everybody to see lol
One day react to the music video [ The Jacksons Can you feel it ] it's 9 minutes!
