The Players Club Movie Description:
Diana Armstrong gazes at the ruins of the Players Club, a strip club where she used to work. She begins reminiscing about the time she moved out of her parents' home with hopes of attending college. On her own, Diana finds a job at a shoe store, where she meets Ronnie and Tricks, who work for Dollar Bill at the Players Club. They convince Diana she would make better money stripping. Dollar Bill gives Diana a job and the name "Diamond." Four years later, her younger cousin Ebony comes to live with her and also starts working at the club. Ebony is soon out of control, drinking excessively, staying out all night, and stripping at private house parties.

I can’t watch the part with Ebony and the party without feeling angry and sick to my stomach but otherwise it’s a great movie
The fact that none of the males at that bachelor party didn't do anything to stop Junior violating Ebony in that room and they didn't even call the police they just left is sickening to me.
Sad thing is, stories like that happen every single day.

I had to show id when i saw this movie in theaters with my brothers. Ice Cube wrote Dollar Bill specifically for Bernie Mac. Diamond set Eboni up for failure by getting her a job at The Players Club knowing how toxic it was & Ronnie SAing her. Eboni was slim thick & Lance was plotting on Eboni from the jump. Fun Facts: Diamond’s father was played by the late Dick Anthony Williams (Pretty Tony from The Mack) & her mother was played by Judy Ann Edler. She was Gina’s mother on Martin & the second Harriet Winslow on Family Matters. Junior played by Samuel Monroe Jr. is the eternal typecast. If you look up the word typecast in the dictionary & you’ll see his picture. Majority of the cast of this movie were in Friday & Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood & most of them are no longer with us. Myron played by Jimmy Woodard was one of The Midnight Falcons in The Five Heartbeats. He was also in Hollywood Shuffle & House Party 3. I would love to see this movie coverted into a series like The Best Man Final Chapters to see what happened to the characters after the cameras stopped rolling & i would to see Ronnie & Junior’s backstory on why they’re so predatory.
