I actually got reasonable deals on trade chat, and the good thing about trade chat is you can make couter offers trying to get better deals on the spot. When I use warframe market, I have to put the price always below the lowest person the website and if I dont get contacted fast enough, someone posts a listing of the item lower than me, which forces to lower and lower again. At least, if I post on chat and someone wants to negociate with me, even when I do not get all plat of the item in the first place, I can get ducats, relics or even endo as negociation pieces. Of course there are the assoles that insult you when you try to negociate while buying or selling, but warframe has the simple option of "Ignore player" and you just move on.
You can't expect honesty from a good merchant. Game is game best you could do is ignore it since you can't do anything. Dude is probably going to be able to find a five year old willing to buy either way.
To be fair, this always happens on a game that has an economy, like real life trading. Some people buy the stuff they want and even sell low for stuff that they farmed and do not care. But there are alot of people that only do trading, buy low and sell high (or overpriced or even trying to scam). In warframe, one time (a few years back), I was selling limbo prime sets for 75 plat (which is already low). One guy wanted to pay only 50 plat, and I manage to negociate to 60 plat + 200 ducats (still cheaper for him, since each rare junk is like 5 plat). Right after I sold, I see the guy on the trade chat selling the same set for 100 plat. Even tho it feels I got cheated, because I was nice to him beacuse I thought the guy wanted the set for himself instead of reselling, I already played lots of games that have an economy and do not care. I also had like 6 sets that time of limbo and the others I manage to sell them at reasonable price. I know my example is not as bad as the one in the video. However, in this case, just do the "Ignore player" button and move on xd.
you mean chroma prime isnt 650p? oh no the humanity. I think 80-120% of market average is acceptable, im even willing to accept 150% as fair game, but these people trying to charge 5x+ are scum. Actually pisses me off when I come across people trying to take advantage of new players who don't know any better, just another reason that people struggle to pick up the game
Had an MR29 the other day ask for 1900p for an r5 melee crescendo, and LR2 asked for 700p. I look online and it’s barely over 400p. I said screw it and bought 21 r0’s over the course of 2 hours for like 290p. Like what is even happening at this point?
it used to be an absurd price like that until archmedia and netracell update, but people being people are greeding over the old price rather than the new.
