My guess on the socket size issue you were having is the screws are soft metal. Car manufacturers will use cheaper materials to produce the interior fasteners because they don't really need to handle much. Not to mention manufacturers don't take into account the fact that the owner might go in and do modifications. Could also be that the screw head was a weird 64th SAE size (not commonly used, but 13/64 is a 64th smaller than 7/32 and a hair bigger than a 5mm, which you said didn't fit). When you get down to sockets that small the tiniest fraction of an inch means a lot more. As for the 6mm size that the manual or directions you read told you to use, that was probably for the replacement screws, which you didn't use. I'll never understand why manufacturers have to complicate the simple things.

@@ToeMosSVlogs don’t worry. I made the same mistake. Go to your local parts store and they usually sell individual sizes. I just borrowed their 5.5
Speaking of. Bought two of these speakers brand new and paid $40 for both of them. Super steal, they didn’t fit in the guys truck on Facebook marketplace

I have the same speakers, and also I have 2 12 in. Subs kickers CompRT with an kicker 600.1 rms amp under the backseat. My question is, how I add more sound on the speakers? I was thinking on add a converter to the amplifier but let me hesr you guys.
I’m not a professional but it seems you may need a dedicated amp for your door speakers.

i have these in my 4 doors 2014 f150 supercrew powered by pioneer nex headunit. kicker tweeters in pilliars. kickers compvr 10s under seats powered by kicker 1200.1 amp. slams hard as fuck.

Quit buying cheap Chinese tools and buy American made tools, their sockets and wrenches do not fit right on SAE bolts..

U need an aftermarket unit bro sounds bad u could level out ur speakers and subwoofer with subwoofer control on a aftermarket radio the stock ones especially for f-150s suck really bad i have a 2007xlt and put a pioneer double din with rockford fosgate in front doors and pioneers on the back doors power bass tweeters in front they are amazing tweeters no distortion whats so ever on them tweeters clean sound the best ive heard tweeters and two american bass xd 12 on a huge probox and a audio pipe apcle 1500.1 amp on them and a autotek 2,000 watt 4 channel amp and audio control epicenter for my rock music and a clarion eq to top off everything and its clean my best work so far not the best but its loud and clean
I definitely want to upgrade the head unit.

Do you need them? It’s something most people probably know but I just tried connecting straight to the wire and it didn’t work. First time installing speakers on my first truck and I’m struggling

As long as there is nothing wrong with your wiring it’s probably just the speaker going bad.

They’ve sounded great from the start. I listen to music really loud so it really works out the speaker. They have held up great.

FaZe Elite the bass isn’t very deep but I have a 10” sub under the back seat. The tweeters sound great though

yo first off great video, was not bored one bit, I have 04 same doors as you i have stock side door speakers with 2 10s i believe under the sub, on certain songs i geuss the bass hits to hard is real nasty like, do these speakers handle good with bass? better than stock?

The ones I bought are made by metra. For 98 and up ford trucks. Best Buy had them.

I don’t know what it’s called but it adapts the harness from the truck to the speaker. They told me I needed them when I got the speakers from Best Buy so I bought them when I got the speakers.

@@ToeMosSVlogs thank you so much! i just bought skar audio speakers to put into my 2012 ford escape and when i went to install them i wasn’t aware that i would need a plug. but the ones you have seem like they would fit what i need
The ones that I bought said they were for the 1999 and newer F1 50s but they may work for the escape as well idk

Your all sweating its dosent even look that hot out there imagine living over here in laredo man u cant be outside u would be soaked and get a heat stroke it 112 almost everyday youll die outhere in laredo texas its boiling hot the city is in like in a hole so its feels hotter being in a hell hole literly if a wave of water hits here the hole would be under water the city flooded
