benny nurul huda I take it you've never heard of Daniel Presland, Cory Baker, or Nelson Barnes. They all literally make Tyler Cross(Rogue Empire's Drummer) look and sound like a novice.
@carlos santiago Its called progression.... of course its not going to stay constant. If you guys want good death metal go listen to Gojira or something...
I like this...I feel with some tweaks they could really do something with their band, there's just some things about it that make it too generic. If anyone knows of any other good songs/bands I could check out in this genre it would be much appreciated.
I agree as well, it's hard to say they're generic when they're using electronic with it, but it has that classic deathcore-genericore guiitar. And a very personal opinion, I don't like their growls. Also the genre is listed as Death Metal but I believe it's Deathcore.
I type "technical prog metal" on youtube and everytime "answer" is a random prog death metal... Awesome.. Just Awesome.. that's Ironic. I'm not saying this album/band is bad.. That's just death power prog metal.. Not what I'm looking for.
I love metal, so I decided to check out some EDM, since my friends love electronica and whatnot, and I wanted to see if I could ever get anything from such music. This was the first result when I searched for electronic death metal.... and I must say, this was more cringeworthy for me than fucking Miracles by ICP (I never thought there could be a more cringeworthy song....). I mean, this has nothing; it neither gets me angry as hell and ready to headbang Doviculus to death (props to any who get the reference), or energetic enough to dance (isn't that what techno and electronica and whatnot are about?). I listen to Manowar, and I can say that the slow parts here are much worse than in the full spoken verses Manowar has done, and with all the lyrics being growled, it makes much of it incomprehensible at best, and noise at worst. Here's hoping I can find some value in this genre.....
+King of Midgard Rogue Empire and Manowar? ... That is possibly the dumbest comparison I've heard. Those 2 bands could not be more different! If you wanted to 'dance' to the music then why are you listening to electronic METAL?
Total Dark I think you misinterpreted what I wrote. I was saying that it didn't give me the invigorating angry/hyped feeling good metal gives me nor, did it make me feel energetic like I wanted to dance (since that's all I know about the appeal of electronica and whatnot; its supposed to be energetic, and good dancing music). Not only that, but the full spoken, near dead pace verses in Manowar songs delivered better than the slower seeming parts here, so not even what seemed like an attempt to possibly tell a story with the song or give exposition came through as an effective part of the song for me. I wasn't correlating Manowar with dancing, nor did I say I expected Electronic Metal to be purely dance music. I simply explained how I wanted to see if anything counted as an electronica subgenre could be appealing to me as a mainly metal fan, and I found the music lack as metal, and from my limited exposure to different types of electronica, lacking even as electronica. I never claimed the music was bad either; just simply didn't appeal to me. Hope I didn't offend you in some unintended way. ^^
+King of Midgard most songs on this genre and this aint a prime exxample have and angry sad feeling to them .the electronic parts ar enot to get you energitic at least in this genre(i repeat this song is not a prime example) go listen to silent descent you will see what it actually looks like

Gojira are crap imo
***** those are all boring deathmetal bands
lonelyking寂寞王 You're entitled to your opinion...but I take offense to Eluveitie being called boring. :/
***** Dimmu Borgir and Emperor are not death metal... they are symphonic black metal
Exelent

Sounds kind of Industrial, Still it's a Wicked Tune.
what happened with those guys ??
My step brother was the drummer. Him and the guitarist left and formed a new band called Never Doubt the Worm.
try germany^^
maybe it will sound even better if this was sung and not growled.
The beginning was good but jesus christ the song wasnt consistant.... it sounded like i was listening to a mash up of a bunch of songs.
I love the variation in this song.
Phinehas sry
Really cool but guys try phineas those guys are the shit
t'was cool while it lasted. Vocals eventually became annoying, and the tune became wtf. Then I checked. "USA"
ah........
sounds not bad, but the vocals are annoying

+King of Midgard I kinda like it. It's nothing special. but fine to listen to in the background or something :)
