Well the XUV 500 has a light steering compared to Fortuner. It's a good car with more features. But i felt the gear shifts were not that smooth. I like the gear shift feel of Japanese gearboxes. Also the driving pleasure is not as much compared to the Fortuner. The turbo noise , precise shifts, , seating position, steering feel, the confidence it gives . Well I miss all that in XUV 500. ( Personal opinion)
@@TheCarguy003 fortuner type 2 is old and so many things to repair. But at the same price point i can get xuv 500 2019 model aa it is mint condition at this price. So what should i buy. But i love fortuner very much. What are things to be check if i buy fortuner.
If u r looking to buy the type 2 models ( 2012-2016) my opinion go for the manual model with 4x4 than the 4 speed automatic. In the 4 speed auto the engine feels stressed and too noisy and u will miss that 5 th gear. Also don't buy the manual one with no 4x4. They will be cheaper and of low demand. There is a 5 speed automatic 4x4 version which is hard to find as they were on sale for just eight months .it's a good choice .If u r looking to buy the post 2016 models go for the automatic. 6 speed auto with paddle shifters is fun to drive. They won't give u the truck-like feel. U won't feel like u're driving a big car. It has a better turning radius, more features, and light steering. But u won't get to hear the small turbo whistle which u can enjoy in the older version. Select the one according to ur requirement bro. Hope this helped
@@TheCarguy003 thanks for clearing the picture for us. Can you also tell approximate prices of all the above mentioned models so that we don’t get cheated by dealers or individuals. It would be of great help. Thank you 🙏
@@gauravbisht982 Bro price depends on different factors and it varies from place to place and the condition of vehicle. Low km run and company service vehicles( as it's a Toyota )will have a higher price compared to the market rate. Re-registrated vehicles will have a low price. The problem with them are most of them have odometer tampered and might be abused. So will have to spend some extra money after purchase for the repairs that it might require. Somethings u can take into consideration while buying a second hand car 1: Try to buy directly from the owner. Olx Facebook marketplace will help you. There is a high chance u might find a good car at a fair price this way. 2: Go for a car with full company service records and no major accident history. 3: Look for a car with original company paint. Avoid the ones with lot of patch work and repaint. 4: Be cautious about flooded and odometer tampered cars. You can recognise them from some small checks. Check the steering, gear knob, and power window switches on the driver side. If they look worn-out the car might have clocked high kms than claimed. Check if the company music system and company seat covers have been changed. Most flooded cars have this changed. Also look for rust in the underbody and behind the rubber beadings. 5: open the bonet and check if the company pasting is still intact. If it's ok the car might be free from major accidents. 6: check the dates in all the glasses. If they doesn't match it means it's replaced. 7: The easiest thing u can do is take a mechanic with u to inspect the car. Preferably from ur place. Just spending a small amount for that will help u save a ton in future . Bro i m no expert or a car genius. These are some things that I do while buying a car. There might be mistakes. U can find some good videos in RUclips about inspection of secondhand cars. Hope this helped ✌️
@@satishvenkat005 yeah almost. I haven't checked it properly. Bro What more can we expect from a 3L turbocharged engine and a full time 4 wd car. I am happy with it✌️
@@gauravbisht982 Fortuner and old model landcruiser if i remember correctly came with a full time four wheel drive system. The 4x4 gear lever is to put the car to 4 high and 4 low modes. The car runs in full time four wheel drive. It has no 2 wheel drive mode like a pajero or Thar. The advantage is a better road trip. The downside is more fuel consumption ✌️
