was there last week. This is such a shiro coloured town. Mud and pot holes. Not one of my favourite cities in Southern Ethiopia, but as usual everything is surprising, not least how creative they are in making do with what they have
Coming from the UK, I envy the blue sky. Then I look at the plight of the people there and the extremely poor infrastructure and count my blessings.

All people in front of their property, they must plant at least one tree and the rest must covered by grasses. If they’re not do, GVT must does and the owners must pay. If no, must leave the town to sub urban. Business area mostly covered by stone and whatever but no dust.

Yes, the altitude is quite high, most of the Abyssinian plateau is above 2000 meters, so it can be quite chilly as soon as you don't see the sun.
This area is warm for alomst 10 monthd but the rest 2 months are rainy and its hard for them to bear. We are on rainy season in Ethiopia right now.
