Eagle Eye Shooting I’m really happy with how this gun shoots out of the box. I’m looking forward to playing around with some optimum powder charge tests. It looks like all the bullets have potential.
@@ChuckinTV im just gonna put this out there. You may find something around 42.5gr of H4350 with the 140 ELD being 8 thousandths off lands. And probably another node around 41.6gt 😉 but you know grain of 🧂 O AND USE SMALL RIFLE PRIMER BRASS
I've had great luck with my 6.5 creedmoor using Peterson brass, H3450 and SGC. I took a deer this past year at 50 yards pushing the round at 2760 fps and it performed well. Hit the back of the front leg bone and found the bullet mushroomed nicely under the hide back under the skin on the opposite side. It weighed 85 gr. I'm excited to load up some more when I get time. Some great groups all around looks like another great shooting Savage! Can't wait for some more videos with this one!
I picked up a Model 12 FV in 6.5 C from Cabelas that was on sale at $100 off. That put it at $319 for me. I repurposed a VX3i CDS from another rifle. I put Weaver base and rings on it and bedded those. I still need to level the scope and bed the action. I'll be using Gunwerks brass and probably 147 ELD M's with H4350. Everything I've seen tells me that rifle should shoot really well. My range goes to 547 yards so I had no need to put a ramp on it. With my Bergara B14 HMR in 6.5C, I can easily plink clay pigeons at 547.....expect to do the same with the Savage.
I have to say. The accuracy iv achieved out of these rifles with hand loads and certain bought amo is really excellent. Iv shot a 0.3 inch group with a 142gr matchking on RE17. Shot bench rest comp on 200m with that amo and shot multiple X.
Definitely a nice rifle you picked up bud. Those game changers are looking pretty serious going through that bore. Maybe one of these days you can invite me back out sir.
Savage out of the box shoot like the old Remingtons use to. Gonna try that Sierra 130 with some R16 in my Savage model 12 lrp the Hornady 95vmax and Varget shoot very good
I wish Savage would Chambers the 110 tactical in more caliber's. Like 257 Weatherby.😁 This rifle is a excellent platform for so many caliber's. I have this same rifle in 308.
What is the actual model number designation for the rifle in that camo stock. Can't find it listed anywhere and local gun store (Savage dealer) doesn't have a clue.
I couldn't tell you 100% sir. I looked into it myself and couldn't find anything on it. Is it a distributor exclusive? Is it so new that Savage doesn't have it listed? I don't know for sure. I got this one on GB and saw that a couple of different sellers had it. The closest model to it is the Tactical which just comes with a gray stock, but has all the same features. It is SKU # 57471. Maybe that will help. I will be doing more with this rifle. Hope you stay tuned.
I have this exact rifle. I called Savage and gave them the serial number to look it up. The lady told me that it was a Sports inc exclusive and is no longer available. I tried looking into Sports inc and I couldn’t find anything on it still.

@@ChuckinTV That's great news! That must mean you like these. I didn't even realize you could get them in camo!
